It's all on them. No one asked for another WW2 shooter.
I did. I fuckin' love WW2 and would love to see a modern day, quality version of WW2.
We didn't get that. We barely got anything resembling a mediocre game.
It's all on them. No one asked for another WW2 shooter.
That is so correct. Out of my friends I am the only one who even noticed this bullshit about the woman. And I didn't care because I'm a grown man. It's a small sample size but cmon, how many people are reading forums and use Twitter for video games??? It's a very little minority in the gaming market. I think your reasons are spot on. I was hyped for bf1, saw the automatic weapons and noped out. Then a bf in ww2 again, yay! But the trailer turned me off. My friends and I got it in the sale and we are having a blast! It's really buggy but very funI don't believe "whamen" played a significant role for BF5 sales. It's more like:
1. Stupid reveal trailer that looks nothing like the actual game.
2. Looks a lot like BF1 on the surface, and that game had a lukewarm reception.
3. No iconic battles.
4. The game needed more time in the oven.
Those aren’t as bad as I thought considering everyone said no one bought it.
It's literally half of the previous entry, it's below hardline which isn't even a main entry for the series, having your sales drop to 50% is horrible by any metric and I can't see EA executives being very pleased.
Yeah...in reality it's probably even lower.Wow, people are so desperate for new reasons to shit on BFV that they will actually use VG Chartz numbers.
Any other time the mere mention of VG Chartz would be met with heavy ridicule and calls for bans.
My, how times have changed.
Other than "stop making them" which is never going to happen, what do you think should be done with Call of Duty to make it not generic, and make it a game you'd want to play?
I thought this was a PC mainly franchise but it represents only 3% of the total sales, anyway I'm getting it when it drops below 10€
Whoa ! V sold worse than Hardline..now that's a problem..because V annihilates Hardline in every fashion.
BF1 had online sales too, and considering its reception was superior, it was probably well over half anyway. They lost 50% of the sales.
Wait a little and you'll figure it out, because in January of 2017 they forecasted 15m for BF1 and it sold 20m. If this game makes it to 10m it's an absolute miracle.
I'm hearing reports from alot of people claiming there was a visual downgrade from BF1 to BFV
I haven't played V yet
? Huh oh no lol
Thats a lie. BFV murders BF1 in terms of visuals. DICE are wizards at that junk lol. I can confirm that BFV very much looks way better then BF1 and plays way better too.

Yeah. People cared so little about it it's the best selling Battlefield by far.BF1 was a joke entirely, nobody cared for it.
That is highly subjective. Graphical fidelity is only a part of visuals, the other is the aesthetic and atmosphere - which BFV absolutely fails to get even partially right. As for gameplay, again - subjective. Many of the changes are for the worse, IMO.

I have seen the number 25 million mentioned by EA themselves.
There was so much hype for Battlefield 5, I guess that was mostly NV and RTX, although that first trailer looked amazing tbh. Yet, everyone thought COD would suffer because of the lack of a campaign....Yet Cod sold like a freight train on speed....
Hardline sold more?
Regret getting this day 1.
Was like 50% 2 weeks later. Fml
Thats nice.
So DF folks who know a lot more about the tech then you or I very much gave it high praise.
Why am I not surprised that EDMIX completely ignores what I stated. Not even sure why I bother anymore.
Checked it out, and not entirely true, from EA Q3 2018 report:Really? I'm not saying you are lying or anything, simply that I never heard of that figure until now. I liked BF1, but I didn't love BF1 lol, I only didn't care for the TTK, but it was pretty much base Battlefield which is always a day 1 for me.
Funny that threads with fake numbers get over 100 posts but threads with actual real numbers get one or two lol
What have to discuss about made up numbers?

Wut? lolThen post the real numbers. Clearly you have them, otherwise you wouldn't continue to whine about it.
Wut? lol
Wut? lol
lolPost. The. Real. Numbers.
You keep saying that the numbers are bullshit, so if they are bullshit that means you clearly have the "real" numbers. Post them, prove the numbers wrong and the conversation can continue with those numbers (assuming you have viable sources).
Otherwise, stop whining.
lol
Just laughing about this nonsense... are you high?
Man... you're really losing.lol

Checked it out, and not entirely true, from EA Q3 2018 report:
Not sales numbers per se, but I wouldn't expect it to be too far off. I guess only multiple profiles on same console and share playing accounts for a portion of these, but probably not a huge number? Anyway, with another year passed I don't find it totally unreasonable unless someone has more reliable numbers?
- Battlefield™ 1 now has more than 25 million unique players life to date.
Either way, it's by far the best selling BF.
Losing?Man... you're really losing.
Losing?
A there with actual no data only guesstimates get 3 pages of discussion while any thread with actual data get two post.
It is really odd and shows how screwed SalesGAF actually... the worst? People here seems to believe in these data lol.
But hey looks like spread false data makes them better than not having data... which type of thinking is that?
There is tons of exemple the data from there is clearly off by big margins for more or less... examples these that you can compare with actual data.
You want a example? That is pretty easy... the actual sales of BFV in UK in November was 101k at retail (2 weeks).
Can you check for me how much VGC has for the same period?
