Dropped Psychonauts as it was just getting obtuse and boring.

Splurged and bought the Foresaken DLC for Destiny 2 and I’m back into that now. Also splurged on New Super Mario Deluxe. Had it on Wii U but didn’t do everything and didn’t have the Luigi DLC.

Still chipping away at Classic Mode in Smash and playing some Into the Breach and Dead Cells. Also chipping away at nightmare mode in Bloodstained Curse of the Moon here and there.

Curious, what about Psychonauts was obtuse? It was an incredibly straight forward platformer.

OT: Replaying RE1 and RE0 as I get hyped for the RE2 release. Sadly my copy won't arrive on launch, but 3-5 days post launch. Ordered the CE from Gamestop, but I am hyped either way.

Limbo is a trip, man
Yeah, I missed the boat on it. My friend gifted it to me in 2013 when I built my PC and I played it for all of 4 minutes until today, lol. Currently 2.5 hours in and enjoying it. I wish the player character had a faster walking animation though. My only gripe so far.

I’ve been really getting into puzzly type games lately, real brain-teasers. Pretty much played Portal 1 & 2 back to back. If anyone has any recommendations on these types of games, I’m all ears.

I beat Valkyria Chronicles 4 a week ago. It was probably the best game I played in 2018 and its similarities (in certain ways) to the Fire Emblem series made me wonder what that series could be like if it had progressed. Three Houses looks like it’s mixing things up a little so we’ll see.

Currently, I’m playing a mix of Captain Toad and New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe.

Immortal Unchained.

I'm over the difficulty hurdle (level 109 with a shitton of hp and some of the best sniper weapons in the game). I'm missing 1 or 2 optional bosses, and then the last 2 story bosses. Underrated game, but too hard for 99% of the population.

Working my way through the Deponia Games. So far I'm enjoying them. I bought the complete Journey but I've finished Deponia and I'm in the midst of playing Chaos of Deponia, which is more of the same though with a lot more to do.

If you're after puzzlers try the Hexcells series. : -

First one isn't too bad, but Hexcells Plus really ups the ante. Hexcells Infinite is more of the same, but still quite engaging.

Just started on Blue Reflection.

It's very, very good, and anything I don't like about it is just an effect of recently having finished Dragon Quest XI.

KotOR2

I've heard people saying this is better than KotOR. WHAT? There are some qualities in this game (namely writing in general and dialog choices) but fuck me if it isn't a complete mess. So much random shit going on. And what's up with these solo sections with secondary characters? Shit is driving me fucking nuts. I don't want to focus on and equip my chosen characters only to be stuck in unskipable sections with multiple others. Who got this stupid idea? Almost quit the game in frustration after I had to complete an entire section with Mira alone and then with Atton and T3 and was swarmed by enemies in both. Barely made it through...

And then all those random conversations all of a sudden. I mean.... what... This game is really confusing.

Yeah, a couple of years ago I played KotOR and went to play KotOR 2 straight after, but lost interest for some reason.

From what I remember hearing, it’s development was rushed and the game was released a bit broken and unfinished, which explains the random shit. I think modders made a patch that restores some of the unfinished missions and fixes broken stuff.

Fallout: New Vegas was similarly rushed. I think Obsidian used to sign some pretty unrealistic development contracts maybe. Hopefully that changes now they are under Microsoft.

Bayonetta - about to close the first one out. absolutely love this game and can't wait to tear through the sequel.

New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe - this game is tons of fun and totally in the vein of SMB3 or SMBW. fwiw i love the controversial twist jump. it's a nice little move that would be in a 3D entry, brought into 2D to give players an extra tool in the set.

Hue - played this at a friend's the other day. wonderful game, very unique, but the music was so minimal it threatened to put me to sleep!

Chrono Cross (for the 20~th time) - for me it's the best game ever made, love everything about it - music/story/characters/artstyle/world/battle system/parallel worlds. Currently going to Termina. HOW MUCH I WOULD GIVE TO LIVE AND CHILL IN ARNI VILLAGE. And btw. call me biased, but I'm playing on 42 inch samsung lcd and it still looks absolutely great.

Downloaded Steep over the weekend. It's a lot of fun. It's exactly what you want from game like this.

Some things of note. It's always online game so you have to create a Ubisoft account.

It's game layout is hard to describe. It's Forza Horizon for Snowboarders.

DB Xenoverse 2, combat is good and has some good mechanics but graphics are UGLY, what is with these japanese developers making such bad looking games? also the animations are really bad, I get some ps2 era sensations when moving around the city, I want to beat this game, big Dragon Ball fan since forever but it has some DB Super characters I don't know at all, I gotta catch up with that, maybe I'm gonna watch the series some day.

Far Cry 5 for PC, I'm only about 5-6 hours but I'm really digging it so far. I kinda feel like this one was a bit underrated.

The Montana setting is absolutely fantastic and it has some of the unintentional hilarious stuff missing from Far Cry Primal. It's got some flaws but I'm quite enjoying it.

Not too far in. I like it so far but Hong Kong is confusing. I keep getting lost on my way to the guest house.

Crazy hyped about Resident Evil 2 now. I still can´t Believe the game is dropping next week. I won´t Believe it until the game is in my hands. I haven´t felt such a strong hype since Bloodborne and Final Fantasy XV. This is the biggest event in gaming this year and 2019 has only begun. Holy shit what a time to be alive!

Went back to the crash bandicoot trilogy for those damn relics to get the three platinum trophies. Just wrapped up the first which is the hardest.

I originally said fuck that, but the effort to git gud was fun and the rush of beating a challenging game always feels great.

Playing right now Metroid Zero Mission, for the first time. I was in the mood for a Metroid game and have already beat the other 2D ones so i was going to give this a shot. I have the original game at home complete in box so it was longer overdo.
Sadly the R button of my DS Lite is broken so ....i need to play on my poor lighted Advance SP. So far i would recommend it. Its faster paced as Super Metroid i think (so far).

Oh and i also bought Zero Mission CiB, really curious about that game. Will play it soon as well.

Middle Earth Shadow of War. What makes the game for me is the orc dialogue. The way the game plays is otherwise mediocre piling on abilities above the first game that make it even more easy.

The only other game I'm playing in that single player component of Hearthstone. "Rastakhan's Rumble "

I finished Celeste. Just the regular campaign on XBO. I played the RE2 demo 3 times. I'm excited for that game. I'm playing Birth By Sleep with my step daughter. Her bio dad is getting Kingdom Hearts III too and he said she can play his copy. She was so excited about it that I wanted to get her use to the controls and she likes Aqua a lot.

Resident Evil Revelations on PS4. I'm two thirds through the game and will wrap it up later today. After this, I will probably use the free trial for PS Now and try out Heavenly Sword and play through The Darkness as I played through The Darkness 2 last summer. Basically, trying to knock out a few games from my last gen backlog while waiting for REmake2.

Replay or first time?
I played it back in the day a bit, but I don’t think I ever finished it. I’ve been meaning to play it again and complete it ever since then, but I’ve never gone through with it (despite starting many times over the years).

I was kind of hoping for a remake, I guess, after they put out the remake of System Shock 1, I assume they would do the sequel. But, I was in between games the other day and struggling to find one to play and then SS2 stared out to me from my Steam list, lol.

The only annoying thing is it is one of those older games that used EAX sound and positional audio to great affect. I remember how cool it was. It is legacy technology and as a result, is a bastard to get working properly on a modern Windows PC without a dedicated sound card. So, I can’t get it to work with my surround sound system. I’m playing this game with great audio out of only the front speakers. It sucks. First world problems though.

The positional audio is great but I can't imagine how frustrating that would be to get running on a modern system. Did you go Hacker, Soldier, or ESPDude?

In a major gaming funk at the moment. Most of my crew mostly abandoned Destiny 2 again and Black Armory really hasn't been too exciting for me even though I want to keep playing and try out the new raid.

So kind of playing Destiny 2 only....

If you liked Limbo Play INSIDE too (their follow up game)

To get it running somewhat close to the original, you have to delve into forum posts from circa 2006-2012 and download hacked software files. All too risky and dodgy for this wise old man. Or I stumbled across a modern piece of software by Creative that is supposed to do the job, but it costs $30USD.

I picked soldier. I’m boring, I always pick soldier or barbarian/warrior in games, lol.

Yeah, I wasn’t interested, but after finishing Limbo, I immediately added Inside to my Steam and GOG wishlists.

The soldier class is fun and the game is flexible enough to allow you to dabble in hacking and Psi, regardless of class choice. Being able to use all those big weapons is pretty helpful.

Wipeout Omega Collection - love this game

Steep - Fun but I'm not sure how you hook up with people to do stuff in game.

Grand Kingdom - Strange strategy rpg, it's mesh of Final Fantasy Tactics and Xenogears.
