Beard of the Forest

The No. 1 cause of forest fires is trees.
A lot of our members are aspiring content creators and deserve a place to talk openly about their craft. Looking for feedback on a newly released video? Want some advice about growing an audience? You can post links to your channel here without fear of disciplinary actions against your account. I am not an avid content creator myself, so if any in our community would like to contribute resources to be included in this OP just let me know. For those just starting out, the following channel may be helpful.

It's not bait. In fact, you're a prime example of why this thread was created and the other thread was closed. This is where you can safely link your channel and talk with fellow creators.

I have a twitch channel that I always swear I will pay more attention to and stream more regularly ....I don't need advice as far as the technical side goes so not sure to post it here so I'll err on the side of caution ..but for those that do need some technical advice I highly recommend this channel:

https://www.youtube.com/user/EposVox/featured

and this playlist in particular.

He give really good advice for OBS setup , elgato stuff like the stream deck , mic setup and so on .. really helpful guy . I don't know if Beard of the Forest Beard of the Forest would want to add this to the OP but I think it could help quite a few people .

Fiddled around with Twitch a couple years ago and got lucky with a couple of hosts by GOG. Of course it happened at around 2AM my time right before bed. XD Haven't done it in ages because I find it hard to be "on" all the time, and I'm usually quiet so talking continuously makes me horse pretty quick. Never the less, I have been thinking of getting back into it. Streaming was fun, but not being the most charismatic person in the world has kept me from doing it on a regular basis. Might try again in the coming months for giggles though and just focus mostly on Japanese games.

Here's a link to the place if anyone is interested:

Resident Evil VHS rip (YouTube)

VHS Case (front)
VHS Case (back)

Labor of love project I did for fun last year. If anyone wants a copy shoot me a PM, only gotta pay shipping. I have copies in my basement, 5 or so left. Otherwise the full videos minus bonus features is available online. I had a lot of fun making it and I hope some of you watch it and enjoy it.

A VHS rip of Fulci Tapes Resident Evil video project w/commentary.

This version of Resident Evil has been specially designed to capture the essence of the game and showcase a scenario that is often overlooked in other YouTube videos.

Features that set this video apart,

Original soundtrack.
Uncensored colorized intro w/ newspaper articles overlayed.
Uncut Kenneth death scene.
Barry cutscenes that aren't triggered in the "Jill Sandwich" route.
Key edits have been made to reduce backtracking.
Menu/Inventory screens edited out, except for when necessary.
File entries have been slightly changed for pacing purposes. (No changes in text, just the order in which they're found).
Seamless weapon swapping.
No reloading via the menu.
No talking over cut scenes.

I am a huge fan of the original Resident Evil and my goal with this video is to provide a streamlined experience that highlights the essence of the game and why it scared an entire generation of gamers. Enjoy! -Fulci Tapes.

I started streaming when I broke my leg, don't know how I'll juggle it when I get back to work though. Streaming off a 4g+ connection because it's better than my cable connection.

For software, I've been using the streamlabs version of OBS, convenient and straight forward, but slightly bloated it seems (I think the site is good enough). I found that the Elgato software was a bit temperamental with audio quality for some reason.

So I've been trying to get this up and running for over 7 years, but due to many issues including my knee injury, work commitments etc, it's been difficult to get up and running.
I have finally managed to buy everything I need and some spare time.
There is just 2 videos the now, but I'm already getting everything ready for episode 3 and learning Adobe as I'm going haha.
My influences are there to see, I don't pretend to not be a fan of people like AVGN, JonTron, Guru Larry, Console Wars etc But hopefully it's original enough for you all to not call me a copy :messenger_halo:

I welcome all criticism and helpful advice

Thanks for checking it out

Hi!

I'm new here at NeoGAF and looking around for Youtube communities in gaming and tech. I work at a group that specializes in gaming, events, and serves as a talent agency for Streamers. The group also has different Youtube channels for specific contents, but the one I am placed in charge with is a Tech Review Show.

I am hoping to learn a few things so that I can improve our Tech Reviews. It's actually my first time to handle such a task and it wasn't what I actually signed up for when I applied for a job. But stuff happened and here I am.

Don't get me wrong, it's not that I don't like it. I actually wanted to start my very own Youtube show, and this is an opportunity for me to learn.

So, any tips and advice for a tech show newbie? And is it okay for me to share the contents I made here?

Thanks!

I always have several youtube channels. It's how I express myself or let out frustration. I never do it for money though. You will never see me asking for subs or likes... (edit shit this is an old thread! I fell for it....)

So it was suggested I add my stream page here.
Hubby and I have been fiddling with the idea of doing more stream stuff, mostly for fun.
Would help me keep a better schedule these days, that's for sure.
Our only real claim to fame at the moment is his two hour plus runs in Tetris Effect.

I'm hoping to get some opinion's/honest feedback on my latest episode on my channel, I know I haven't posted much recently but I was in Argentina getting knee surgery and couldn't log in to NeoGaf until I got home (I'm home btw :p)
But thanks for allowing me the space to advertise my channel! :)
Thanks and hope you all have an awesome day!
