Guess I'll start. I'm #2, before and after, which sometimes leads to losing the toothpaste in the sink. What can I say, some brands are really shitty and it's definitely not my fault this happens.

before applying toothpaste for sure 100%

gets rid of whatever leftover, dried substance from last night/last morning, dust particles, etc,etc

for some reason i run the brush under the water AGAIN after applying the toothpaste ...
never thought much of it but it's probably just a subconscious/psychological response to cleanliness

Before and after. Something about just using a dry toothbrush without rinsing it off first sounds grimey to me.

I agree. I wash it before I put toothpaste on and give it a light coat before it hits my mouth.

Anything less is savage. I also rinse it after I’m done and put it back in the cup.

I apply water after putting the paste on the brush. Its like with a bowl of cereal. I apply the milk after the cornflakes are in the bowl.

Pinche wey, oral health is my territory.

The difference is negligible. Running water over toothpaste only increases the likelihood of toothpaste rinsing off the brush. I run water before applying. It "refreshes" the brush. Like washing an apple before consumption.

I brush in the shower, because I'm all about that efficiency.

Do you also shit in the shower? That's the ultimate in efficiency because then the shower can get the poo off your bum hairs.

Ever brushed while shaving? It's like patting your head and rubbing your tummy.

I have this plan, see. I just need to figure out how to laminate my entire gaming rig...

I have not tried this. It might go poorly. I value my beard.

I get my toothpaste grease by running the brush quickly through my butt crack.
Bonus is my butt smells mint, which is nice.

Agree. Makes it far easier to ignore them.

On this one i have to pretend again to take it seriously and that's never a good idea for a thread that isn't serious to begin with.

It's a serious question, just like asking if you wipe standing up or sitting down. I know it's hard to believe but about half the population does it wrong and they wipe sitting down.

The bolded makes this satirical assuming we talking about doing number 2.

Also, asking wipe standing up or sitting down is also reserved for Cunth Cunth .

Makes no sense at all.
If you sit down there is not enough space to get the toothbrush in there to scrub it clean.

I'd say it's more like wetting a paintbrush vs using it dry, it refreshes the bristles. And I'm surprised so many people in here are saying they wet the toothpaste, as you said the only potentiality there is you losing some of that toothpaste, so why bother.

I think rinsing it 1st loosens the bristles, which make them more flexible to get in between the teeth/gums.

Rinse afterwards seems like a no brainer.

The weird thing I do is store my toothbrush/tongue brush and toothpaste in a sealed container in the fridge. I don't like leaving it out to air dry in the bathroom. Something seems nasty about that.
