Been playing The Thing on my PS2 the past couple of days and boy is it good.

Does anybody remember that one? At first I was really stunned about how complex this game is with looking after your team mates, so it took me some time to get into it. I'm pretty far in now and despite some frustrating parts here and there (currently trying to beat a difficult part and there is no save point to be seen) I am loving it. The level and mission design is so good. Every level has you do something else.

What is it with these old games? Played and finished Extermination a couple of weeks ago and I basically had a grin on my face all the way through. So much fun. I find myself skimming through Amazon searching old games more often than new ones these days.

Thinking about getting myself The Getaway and Black next. Cold Fear is also on my radar. Will prolly get them all in the end.

I knew The Thing because a Review the Spoony One done in his old days. He trash it sadly as far I remember.
I bought Cold Fear myself and I have plans to play it....after I finish Final Fantasy 15 and Toe & Jam. I found the game for like 2 euros for PC.

I finished Persona 5 and for some reason I started on the UnCharted trilogy. I've never been a big fan and I never could see what all the fuss was, but I put on the first 1 last night and I've been enjoying it. It's made a nice change to Persona.

I started yesterday Unravel, looking for a laid back experience before jumping to the next longplay, just to find out the opposite, some very frustrating moments (missing jumps, bad UX, backtracking) and the music makes me feel kind of anxious, not really liking it >_<

Do it. It's really cool. Sure, there are a few bugs and the AI doesn't always do what it's supposed to but at least the devs tried something new. Gotta appreciate that.

I play Allods Online for 9 years now.
It's about to have its 10 year anniversary with a new patch, cap level rise, new content, adds an extra game to continue the lore and so much more.

I would recommend it to anyone that's into mmorpg's but as any mmo is, it's a long term commitment. If you're the kind of player that rather hops between mmo's are prefers short matched instanced games such as BR's, I would not start it as it would be a waste of time.

Ofcourse if you want to learn more about it or just try it out, who am I to stop you?
I do recommend Smuggler's Paradise tho because that is the subscription server.
Evolution, f2p, is pay to win.
Both are official.

25 hours in and level 30 now in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Got a Little sidetracked there for a moment with Warframe but now I´m back at it again. I´m about to depart to Mor Ardain and has just completed a Little side event where some Children stole my core crystal. The story is really picking up and has been very good overall so far.

The only that I´m not liking, are the side quests. They are terrible and consists of 95% fetch quests. And to add insult to injury, they often come in two phases, where I first have to find some mysterious ingredient and when I finally find it and deliver, have to yet again find some shit. As if the first thing wasn´t boring enough. This makes me not wanna do the side quests because they are boring but I want the exp and items that comes with them. Also, the merc-missions is kinda pointless too, just seems like useless padding.

Stick with it - eventually the side missions get easier and less fetch-y, especially once you start amassing huge amounts of scavenged or found materials. Game is awesome, but I will agree that the throwaway sidequests are kinda hot garbage, especially at first.

Dante Inferno on Xbox 360.

Nothing to craft, to repair, no quest, no open world and no overcumbered problem (Fallout 76 overburned my brain: spending more time to manage inventory/stash and repair things than actually PLAYING).
It's straight, plain and fun (and satisfying).
I LOVE it.

I just finished Spider-Man. I love the game, and I'm planning on getting the DLC. I've been playing Gravity Rush 2. Really loving the look of the game. The gameplay is fun and I love to explore the world.

Pubg on console. So relaxing looting then suddenly being killed. Really fun game but depends on your demeanour. Also been trying to complete Tropical Freeze but there is one jump that seems impossible so I have stopped playing..

Currently a bit of Fallout 3 on steam. Doesn't seem quite as creative in the scenarios as New Vegas but I like some of the weapons like the fatman. I didn't like how the game just ends when you have to use the Geck to purify the water in the Capital Wasteland while succumbing to radiation poisioning. I want to continue the adventure without avoiding the conclusion. I think there is some dlc that continues the game after the self sacrifice but I don't see any option to begin it, the game just restarts to before I enter the radioactive chamber .

I also replayed Pandora's Tower on my Wii U. I like the multiple endings you can get from how Aeron's relationship progresses with Elena. I don't quite like how spammy you have to be with the gift giving and chats to get better endings. Also, some special gifts can only be bought after you beat the game once, so it is hard for me to get the s ending first. The focus on the chain as a weapon is pretty unique to me and it kind of reacts like a hookshot from zelda. It is fun using it to bind monsters and rip out their guts. You cam even swing some monsters arounds like a mace (EDIT: FLAIL, not mace you freaking dummkopf) or throw them like ragdolls. There are also some pretty unique puzzle elements to the dungeons like using the water wheel to get to higher platforms in the water dungeon. Overall, it is fun action platformer that is often overlooked.

Started playing Silent Hill Origins on my PS2 the other day.

Not sure how the feel about it yet. Feels a bit clunky and the graphics look like a generation back compared to 2+3. This can't be the same engine, right? Also, weird ass weapons that break way too fast, so I end up running past most enemies. My inventory is full of weapons by now. On the other hand, it like the fact that you can switch from the normal to the dark world on your own through the mirrors and that there seems to be a lot more freedom in the exploration. Hmmm....

Funny thing is also that I thought I've never played this game so far but when I popped it in I saw there is still a save game on my old memory card.

Played and finished NES Double Dragon on Switch. Man. I hadn’t really played it seriously since I was a kid, but after 10 minutes it all came back to me. Like riding a bike. The feeling. The little nuances like how to line up fly kicks. Gem of a game.

I played Asphalt 8 for a long time, but I am always hoping for a racing game that is really just that: as realistic as possible, without cars making jumps, 360s, barrel rolls, or being able to destroy other cars by running in to them, while coming out completely unscathed yourself. Multiplayer games in Asphalt had nothing to do with racing anymore, in terms of who goes fastest through the track. Cars would instead swerve left and right like a bunny to avoid getting hit, or stand on the break at the beginning to deliberately get in line last so you could knock out all the ones in front of you.

I wish there was a game that looked like this with simply realistic driving and no unrealistic nonsense:

Started playing Silent Hill Shattered Memories on my Wii yesterday.

Just like with Origins I find myself conflicted. I really dig the quite moments and the gimmicky controls but boy, what is up with the dark world in this game? Looks like shit and has nothing to do with it's portrayal in the previous games. The sequences where you run away from the monsters are very annoying and boy is the framerate during those sequences bad.

I dunno, I dunno. Lets see how this continues.

Just finished Prey (2017) on PS4. Really excellent game, Cemented my admiration of Arkane Studios after Dishonored series, which I also really enjoyed. My only criticism is that I feel it outstay it's welcome a little and drags a bit towards the end but, other than that, I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a strong single player experience in a cool setting. It has Bioshock vibes which can only be a good thing in my book.

I’m replaying Mass Effect 3 for the first time since release with ALOT hi res textures, expanded galaxy mod, JAM alternate ending mod, Thane Mod. Just completed Rannoch. Also completed Omega and Leviathan DLC and have yet to play through Citadel DLC, have another mod that delays it until after the ending and removes all mentions of the war as it’s over.

It’s such a great game -combat is a lot of fun (playing vanguard so biotic headbutts are the order of the day), the characters are great - and the ending is apparently fixed up as well as it can be though will see when I get to it.

Finished AC:Origins, started AC:Odyssey.

Holy shit dudes. Why didn't anyone tell me it's fucking awesome? I'm wandering Greece while farming loot, fighting off mercenaries, hunting cultists, assassinating dudes and exploring tombs filled with mythical beasties. All the while enjoying the sweet leveling system and sharper combat mechanics.

Last night I Sparta kicked a dude called "The Stone Breaker" off a 3 story spa roof after an epic spear fight. He fell so hard legendary armor exploded out of him. Where was he keeping that breastplate? What the did the townsfolk think of the whole affair? Will there be fighting in the shade? Let's find out.

30 hours in Xenoblade Chronicles and I´m currently looking for Lila. I have acquired two new Blades, Wulfric and KOS-MOS. The combat system is fun overall, and it really shines when you tackle larger foes, as you can then unleash all the spectacular Driver Arts, but the thing that bothers me is that it is very QTE-heavy. QTE can be fun once in a blue moon, but other than that, it´s not something I particularly like.

The story, the beautiful world, the characters and exploration is what really sets it apart from other JRPG, and games in general. It evokes the classic feeling of the old school JRPG-classics from SNES and PSX, with it´s colorful palette, cheesy dialog and just overall fun personalities that these characters have. It´s a lovely bunch of oddballs, that´s for sure. Love the villains too, and there have been some really nice twists and turns regarding them and their hunt for the aegis. I hope that continues.

to be honest that was one of the motivations for assimilation of the ultimate selection algorithm, to automate things in the realworld too. Following a script to the letter allows one to simply repeat actions without thought. A simple enough script and it can be run mentally.

Just hit 350 hours in Smash Ultimate, and oh my lord I can't believe how deep this game is, and how long I slept on Smash as a die-hard Street Fighter.

Into The Breach keeps sucking me back in. Thanks for the memories Final Fantasy Tactics, but 'Breach' wears the crown in my kingdom now.

Monster Boy gets better every screen, but it's a demanding game and I can't play for as long as I'd like to.

Grabbed Steamworld: Heist for a pittance on the eShop, and I liked what I've played so far. Not quite as pick up and play as Into The Breach, so I'm hoping for a longer session soon, before something new and shiny (Yoshi or DMC5) gets my attention.

Currently playing Bravo Team on PSVR. It's okay. Movement is not very quick. You look in a certain direction and press the X button to move to that location. I'm playing it on easy because even on normal mode I get flanked too easily and get killed. Probably would be better playing with a friend, but I don't know anyone playing it. IMO firewall zero hour is a more superior VR shooter.

I'm level 9 after about 6 hours. I'm playing the game solo, and taking my time discovering the ins and outs of a plague-ravaged NYC while exploring all of the games little nooks and crannies. I'm not usually a fan of shooters or action games, but I'm absolutely loving this one.

I very much liked the first Division and looking forward to installing 2 tonight (or is it tomorrow?). If the new one has learned from the issues that the first one had at launch, it will be a very enjoyable game!

In the meantime I am playing Anthem, DMC5 and some Mutant Year Zero and DiRT Rally 2.

So far it's been fine. There are a few instances where the game just throws a bunch of bad guys at you, I'm assuming those would be a lot easier if you had a full squad. It's a looter / shooter similar to Borderlands in game mechanics (but not in tone) so there is also the issue that you can only have a certain number of skills equiped in your "build" that would also obviously benefit from a diversity of people. Otherwise, it's totally doable as a single player game so far, you just need a bit of patience.

As for monetization schemes? I bought the gold edition, which came with the game's expansion packs. I see they have other cosmetic outfit DLC in the Uplay store, but unless you want to dress up like a soldier or a footballer or something I don't think there's anything else you can buy.

I've been hooked to Atomik: RunGunJump since grabbing it on the Switch for cheap 2 weeks ago. I've added the iOS and Android versions so I can play it on any of my devices. I think this game is better than Celeste--and that's saying a lot. Atomik perfectly blends the experiences you get in playing Cave Story, Super Meat Boy, Jetpack Joyride and Rez in one brilliant package. Don't sleep on this game.
