Xbox is going to be the new sega, believe me.
Is MS telling me not to buy a Xbox??
Everyone that owns an Xbox also has a capable enough PC to run the game they way it’s meant to be played? Wow, it’s crazy to think more games on PC haven’t broken sales records. Is MS telling me not to buy a Xbox??
mouse and keyboard Halo will be insane.
Not sure you can side load, that was my question up above as well.So Steam means it's an actual Win32 game right? I hope they're not just selling a UWP game through Steam or something.
I was under the assumption they are on PC already? What does this mean for other MS owned games, can we expect Gears of War or Forza on Steam too?
Is it a one-time thing, or an entirely new business strategy from MS?

No windows store version but Steam? At this point MS is why even bother competing on PC or console. They Gave up on their console and pc both lol. Im not gonna support such weak company next gen. Sony all the way .
They're MS store exclusive.I was under the assumption they are on PC already?

Ignore me I'm tired lolThey're MS store exclusive.
That's what we see now. Pc games on Xbox stream. Hope Xbox hardware brand permanently dies now after this which it will.We just saw it on Xbox stream.
They are telling you to buy their software, because that's how they earn money.
It's been a while since I played around with the UWP format so my info may be incorrect. Not sure you can side load, that was my question up above as well.
Halo on Steam?! This is pretty great.

UWP apps can be installed outside of the Microsoft Store. This requires either a) the user has enabled sideloading or b) the app is signed with a certificate that's trusted by the system. So it should be possible that they sign the UWP package with a certificate that's already trusted by the system and deliver it that way, if recent W10 versions come with a certificate that they can use for this.
Sorry guys, its Epic Game Store exclusive.
joking of course
Reading all these anti-Xbox/Sony-loving posts in this thread

Haha. Epic trying to moneyhat Microsoft is kinda ridiculous. So much to steam's demize and "big developers jumping ship to Epic" . Couldn't moneyhat Microsoft I guess.
So it won't be a Play Anywhere title? I'm sure most of us who own it already on the Xbox One would've loved a free copy on the Windows store.
Not clear - it is coming to Microsoft Store and Steam. I hope it is Play Anywhere.
A T T E N T I O NWhy the fuck would you post that here?
Can't watch the vid right now - does this include ODST?
Our current plan is for this journey to begin with the launch of Halo: Reach – the fictional beginnings of Master Chief’s saga – with the rest of the titles following in chronological order thereafter. Halo: Reach, Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST (Campaign), and Halo 4 will each be available for individual purchase within MCC as they become available.

It’s being released in increments, one halo game at a time so supposedly ODST will be one of themCan't watch the vid right now - does this include ODST?
I thought it was pretty obvious. What other huge game this gen aside from halo has the acronym MCC?Cool. But I had to read almost the entire first page of thread before finally finding out what "MCC" is. Some of these acronyms are too obscure to be on everyone's radar.
