It is common practice to remove the user's report feature if they abuse it. Looks like you may have been abusin' it. Also why create a thread about it and not post in MetaGaf or message a mod directly? Seems like a completely needless thing to do.

Have you been on a reporting spree lately? I recall them saying NI got his report function removed for the same reason.

Not anymore than usual, which is to say average. Last i did were 2-3 in short sucession which is not common. But thats from a week ago.
It is what it is and i accept the associated penalty.
If you or anyone else could request a thread lock that would be great. Otherwise ill do it first thing in the morning.

Why should you ever report someone? I mean, no offense but Neogaf doesn't seem to have such amounts of posts that moderators can't look at them for themselves (and make no mistake, I LOVE the fact that GAF isn't that unbereable behemoth of the last few years).
What I usually see is a forum that works, promote discussions without resorting to censorship and works much better than other alternatives. Trolls and high level dumbasses seems to be naturally banned without much noise and everything is fine in the jungle.

That isn't how forums work. You are supposed to use the report button for every minor grief you have with someone. They say something you don't like? Report. They say something that you dont' agree with? Report. They just someone you don't like? Report.

I think the mods would tell you they'd prefer things to get reported rather than being expected to patrol the forum 24/7.
For example: duplicate threads, or threads in the wrong category. Just report those.

Only time I've used the report button on here was to let the mods know to close a thread of mine that someone else had already started. I'm pretty anti-reporting. Can't ever remember using it on other message boards too.
