For those who died on the first bounty (Butcher).

You can go to the Map, scroll left to the Bounties icon. The bounty can be activated through there.

I think there's a time reset still.

This is my GOTY so far. I'm having so much fun. Just patrolling the streets and exploring the city is fun.
I died so many times. It's easy to underestimate low tier enemies. But they are so aggressive and flank you so fiercely. Me and my squad got wiped more times than i'd like to admit.

after some time and patch updated game worked again. went to lvl 6 and its getting more interesting as im allready got some new missions from beta. but im still curious what to do with crafting and buying new stuff, use them or not ?? because if i craft blue gear , then in streets i only get worse loot all times, never i got anything better then i crafted myself so its kinda pointless and makes loot useless at least on lower levels. and buying new gear is kinda they neveer have anything good so i never bought nothing . loot loot loot and you will find better stuff eventually.
using some different assault rifles then i was in beta, finding some weapons that penetrate very well trough everything and others just dont do same. i like that weapons are so different. thats very cool .

i wouldn't craft until lvl 30/endgame. save the resources, even the best gear you craft will be bunk after a few levels

Do you guys have any clue why I don't seem to get Critical Hit Chance bonus? I have 3 items that all have attributes +2.0% critical chance. However when Icheck my character stats there is 0% critical chance and 25% critical damage. These are my items main attributes and part of set bonus.

Do you have any attachments on your weapon that lower the crit chance?

well it's all about pacing. if you want to get 40 hrs out of the game over time and leave it at that then yeah go ahead and craft away. just don't expect your best gear to carry you beyond that

game should somehow make that loot by gear that you using more or then more random not fixed on places and boxes. would be cooler to loot stuff. because if i crafted gear for lvl 6 i wont find anywhere gear better even at lvl 7, so it makes that loot no needed then with crafting. they should make it more balanced or smt. when later i guess i will loot blue gear too or even purple then it will be more interesting i guess.

I could open my second apparel cache and got the awesome honor guard jacket. But I have no idea how I got the key for the cache. Is this a random drop?

So I’m a little behind schedule but I should finally hit lvl 30 today and start speccing for a skill power/turret/chem launcher build. I loved having high skill power in D1. That sticky bomb was devastating to lower/mid level enemies

Pretty sure you get a key from leveling up sometimes. I could be wrong tho
Makes sense. I need to watch more closely next time. I was pretty excited when I got that jacket though. It removes the bullet proof vest so you can see it better. It's like 450 premium credits I believe. It looks so cool combined with the pilot glasses.

Also

If you’re on PC and you are too cool for the GAF Clan, thanks for breaking my pathetic little heart

I am on PC. Just ran the benchmark... kinda curious as to how it compares to others here. got a 6537 score at 1440p on max settings

About the apparel keys, you also get key fragments with those proficiency caches when you level up (in higher levels only I think). 100 key fragments let you craft another key.

I'd probably be jumping on this if I didn't already have Anthem and didn't get the D2 pass. But this game is prob better than either of them, ugh.

Anthem’s gameplay is still a gen ahead of TD2, not even exaggerating. It’s not just the flying and verticality — it’s everything that encompasses actually playing the game in terms of combat and traversal. It’s just so much more FUN and satisfying. The insane graphics, particle effects, explosions, abilities, ultimates, etc., are so damn fun to experience that I still managed to put 50-60 hours into a looter shooter that doesn’t even have an endgame. That’s a remarkable achievement and a testament to how fun the combat and core gameplay is.

WITH THAT SAID 😄, Division 2’s gameplay ain’t bad either, especially with the lowered TTK (no more guys wearing a t-shirt taking a full clip to bring down). The amount of content, features, options, answers to every little niggle one could have about this type of game... it’s just amazing. You gotta play the full game to understand how well-put together this thing is.

A looter shooter with Anthem’s gameplay and graphics + Division’s everything else in terms of features and end game could be game of the gen material.

It’s hard for me to agree that Anthem is a gen ahead gameplay wise when the very fun, but simple, combat loop of Anthem is almost literally all it has

Controlling my Jav was really fun, but that’s it, nothing changes

Loot seems pretty good so far. Not only are there brand sets, each pieces also comes with bonus that is of particular type, which is used to unlock additional set bonuses that require either more or less than X of type Y stat to activate. Add specializations and random rolls on top and it's a pretty good system, and that's before you even factor in exotics.

It's a huge step up from the first game.

Regarding the bug making some skills disappear as soon as activated, from Screenrant:

It seems that the skills in The Division 2 aren't working as planned, as players on the game's Reddit page have been complaining about a serious bug that causes skills to ignore their timer and end as soon as they begin. The bug causes the Ballistic Shield to instantly disappear, which can result in a player being slain, while the Drone skill also fizzles out straight away, causing them to disappear a few seconds after they are summoned. The game treats the skill as if had been used normally and causes the cooldown to activate as it would under regular circumstances. The community manager of Ubisoft commented in the Reddit thread that they were aware of the issue with a brief statement:

"Jumping in to say that we are investigating this internally and that we appreciate all the detailed information provided in this thread.
/ Johan"

Hope this is ironed out quickly. Kind of surprised it made into retail

Just took out the first bounty, The Butcher

Most exhilarating shit I’ve done in a game all year so far. What a tough son of a bitch. Fucker was coming at me like a Termimator and I just unloaded my 12 gauge on him.

All those blue goodies that spilled out of his body afterwards :messenger_open_mouth:

I feel like I'm missing something with specialization sidearms.

When you take that perk, the game gives you an L30 sidearm with no gear score that's completely useless at the point you can get it.

Maybe it's an oversight. Anyone know? Googled but can't find any discussion.

I died on that asshole the first time and once someone pointed out you can reactivate failed bounties I went after him again, 5 levels higher. Still almost died :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Like a muthafuckin piñata.

Love it.

There are many missions that capture that excitement. It’s so crazy when I’m playing as careful as possible and make a mistake suddenly finding myself surrounded and have to panic my way to a safe vantage point and regroup

That’s something desperately missing from Anthem, imo

Man enemies can cut you to pieces so quickly if you aren’t careful.

Some of these control points are brutal.

yeah that's what i like compared to the first game. just doing random side stuff can still get you creamed if you're off your game a bit

"the dark souls of loot shooters" lol

Yeah they don’t tell you how to reactivate them. Had to figure it out on my own. No biggie.

My first control point in WT4 was amazing.

It was Hyena controlled. True Sons were attacking at the same time. A Hyena convoy roles in mid-fight. Intense. :messenger_horns:

This has really curtailed my desire to play all the time. I'm still loving it, but it's hard to play solo on higher levels when your turrets terminate after a few seconds, sometimes right away. It started for me after that 920MB update. Oh well, 30hrs in a week is probably sufficient.:messenger_grinning_sweat:

Yeah honestly it’s starting to really bug me as i inch closer to endgame and am fighting tougher battles/missions.

Needs a fix ASAP

On Monday, the Deflector shield was the only ability to do this for me. Today, it happens to the turrets, the drones, and the hive.

Oddly enough, the half-shield that allows you to use a primary weapon works just fine. And paired with an assault rifle, it's actually a beast. Almost as good as the D3-FNC gear set in Division 1.

I’ll try that shield out, thanks for the tip.

As for turrets, I’ve completely given up on throwing them. They always reset for me if I throw them. If I double tap for quick deploy it’s 50/50 whether it works or not

Early impressions - I'm just getting into the game (level 4 after a few hours), and I'm really enjoying it so far. It's so refreshing that after the initial load, there's basically a complete absence of loading screens throughout. The whole experience seems really streamlined and polished. I especially like the augmented reality overlay - it's my first foray into this series, as I didn't play Division 1, so it's new to me. It all feels responsive (from controlling your character to menu access), which is one of the QoL things that enhances the experience. The whole gameplay loop is also superb, and has that "one more mission" level of addictive gameplay down pat. I am finding the main missions a tad long though, playing through solo, but I suppose that could be attributed to the methodical nature of gunfights.

Graphically, it's not mind-blowing, but is definitely easy on the eyes on the PS4 Pro., particularly in areas of bright sunlight. The world itself is just so well-crafted. I haven't had much in the way of framerate issues at all either, as others seem to have had. The music also took me by surprise, as I'm really digging the synthwave-esque vibe to it - though I wish there was more of it. Ambient sounds (and music) seem to be lacking a bit too, as things generally seem a bit dead at points when trekking between points of interest. Sure, I suppose it adds to the feeling of desolation of a post-apocalyptic world, but I'm finding it a bit jarring at times.

The gunplay is pretty strong for a 3rd person shooter as well. I'm notoriously terrible at these kind of games, and after feeling frustrated very early on, getting slightly better weapons eased things a bit. It feels manageable and fair so far when played as intended (as a strategic cover shooter), which is all one can ask for, I suppose.

I'm still getting acclimated to the nuances of the inventory and such, but that should come with a little more time spent playing. Hats off to the devs - this feels like one of those "labor of love" kind of games, that puts the player's experience at the forefront. I'm looking forward to diving into it more deeply, and trying a few missions with friends later...but yeah, so far, so good.

Alright, at least on Xbox, I believe they fixed the Skills glitch. I've successfully deployed the assault and flame turrets about 5 times each. Before, I could drop them and they'd disappear, sometimes right after I dropped them. Anyway, if you've been having this problem give it a try and see if it works now. I'll be so happy if it stays like this. Playing without skills is a bitch, especially solo.

This probably doesn't make sense but the skills glitch appears, to me anyway, to be location oriented. Like, I can be in one area and not have an issue, I fast travel to another area and its glitched, fast travel back to the previous area, glitch is gone.

Its weird, man.

Oh well.

About to ding 30!

Pardon my naiveté, but I'm still really early in the game and I'm trying to figure out the ideal way to manage inventory. I see that Projects sometimes have requests for gloves or armor, so I don't want to be caught later on missing out because I don't have any of those laying around. Should I not worry about that and just donate what I can to current projects, then sell (or deconstruct?) all my junk?

I deconstructed until I stopped getting anything (maxed out material inventory I guess). Then I donated to all projects I could. Then I just started selling everything until 30. You can deconstruct or sell and still keep one or two extras on you at all times for donations

I can't believe it took me over 10h to notice that the dot on the inside of the crosshair moves on its own - is that the difference between accuracy and stability? I figured outer crosshair is stability and inner is accuracy (bullet deviation). Can someone confirm?

I can't say for sure at this point for Division 2.

But for Division 1, accuracy dictated reticle and stability dictated bloom over long firing periods.
