One X vs PS4 Pro:

All:

My guess is 99.9% native 4K 1X similar to Division 1, 1440P checkerboard on the Pro , native 1080P PS4, & 900P for X1.

But wait, didn’t SonyGAF tell me that there is a trend where ps4 pro games look and run better compared to Xbox one X?

The fog on the PS4 Pro picture makes it way more atmospheric though /s

Can you unlock the frames on the consoles?

Damn, you're right. It looks blurry on every platform except for XOX.

That's what I'll be getting to play this beauty.

Yes. This game looking and running better on the ONEX doesn’t invalidate the points made on the other games. That wasn’t a Sony GAF thing. That was a collective,” hey what is going on here?” Thing.

Wow this looks better and runs smoother than Anthem on every system. WTF BioWare?

Bioware. That's all that needs to be said on the matter. You get looter shooter fans who've never played a Bioware game before & they act "surprised" when they discover Anthem is technically a mess. Welcome to our world (i.e. fans of Mass Effect & Dragon Age), where bad framerates & glitches compete with Bethesda's own best (aka worst) efforts.

Ubisoft meanwhile mostly know what the f they're doing with open world titles & have done for over a decade. There's only been a few accidents (Assassin's Creed Unity, for example), whilst the rest is generally technically solid (downgrades notwithstanding).

As for the fog, it doesn’t need to be said but it seems some people can’t tell... the game has dynamic time of day. So yeah, you will likely see slight differences.

Just finished up RE2 100% so I get to finally play the beta tonight. Looking forward to it.

Just watched this on my phone, not ideal, but from what I can tell PRO's effects composition looks different. Yet there could be other reasons......PRO's image and colors looks to be less saturated than the rest, especially against XBONEX and vanilla PS4.

It would seem PRO is using CB4K/1620p.....XBONEX is native 4K, vanilla PS4 is 1080p and XBONES is below 1080p obviously.......

Yet, once again shout-outs to Ubi, the best multiplat developer this gen, they had their issues early on and they are on record saying they forced parity, but at least we know they're far removed from that and have given each hardware love commensurate with their capabilities for quite a few titles, and have esteemed framerate above all else too. In truth, you don't play resolution, you play frames....

Still, seeing the game running so smooth, even on XBONES, suggests that perhaps 1080p 60 could be a possibility on consoles, so that would be a neat feature to offer as an option tbh........

Having finally looked at this on a big screen......PRO's resolution looks a bit weird, I hope it's not CB gone wrong like Rockstar, it kinda looks like 1920x2160 or something weird like that.....Anyway, I hope it's not so and that there's some other explanation...

As for perf: XBONES seems to have lots of microstutter even at a much lower resolution, and I saw some framepacing issues on XBONES too......I saw one stutter on PRO and XBONEX, but base PS4 maintained a clean line throughout the video...........

The Pro looks closer to the base consoles, could be another RDR2 situation. I had the first one on the Pro and that looked quite clean, something seems not quite right here.

TGO

Hype Train conductor. Works harder than it steams.
Pro version clearly has a more stable image.
X1X less stable.

The Pro versions looks almost identical to the OG consoles. I have a REALLY hard time believing Xbox One X version of Anthem runs slightly worse than the Pro version now, it's like Bioware didn't even try.

Outside of the connection and sound issues you can definitely notice the x1x version is much sharper than the pro version...there is also a lot of texture load in issues on the pro...wasn’t sure if it was my console but I watched my sons pro and the same issue...x1x has some load in issues but nowhere near as bad as the pro

Once again the Pro obviously performs superior to the X. I think the xbox OS is hogging too much of its cpu resources which likely causes what we see in these comparisons.

I really do think the X is overhyped. If it woul....

Wait..

What?

I've been decieved. I was led to believe that the Pro was better, that checkerboard 4k was just as good as native... Maybe even better, and that the Pro always had much better frames.

What reality am I in?

There was nothing collective, it was based on a very low data base and especially not indicative of why new SDK or something that enabled the pro to do anything more than before.

texture load in on pro is fucking atrocious at times...not sure if its disc version related but there is areas i run into that are a muddy mess and npcs running around with fuzzy heads then all of a sudden bam

Wow, in some instances I swear the base PS4 looks much better than the Pro. Seems like they need to do some more optimization work on the Pro version.

The X1X version looks amazing.

Crazy. Didn't expect that big a jump.

As a vanilla XBone owner I must say performance is far from great. I see lots of tearing and sometimes the framerate drops down to 20fps.
