YouTube ad was posted an hour ago but clearly wasn't supposed to go up until tomorrow. And, it's Epic Store exclusive.

Haven't been this excited for a game in years, nice to finally have a date for it. Hope they have another loot chest edition so i can have one to go with my BL2 chest.
I'm awfully excited as well. Which is something with how much I despise Pitchford.

As a console gamer I find it ironic that pc gamers hate epic store in the same way a PS4 gamer may hate Xbox.

I mean yeah their policies suck but atleast you don’t have to buy another $400 system just to play the game.

I would rather buy a $400 system to play a game than use the Chinese government store and good point, since I have an XBX, I can tell Epic to piss off. I will tolerate a gamepad over a mouse/KB in this scenario.

Nice conspiracy theory. Do some actual research and you will find there is no actual reason to worry.

This is a huge grab for epic store, and the art style of borderlands is somewhat similar to fortnite, some collaboration content could be happening, in that case the exclusivity money hat could make more sense than the other exclusives.

I don't give a shit if it's an exclusive. I'm still gonna buy it if it's a good game. Yeah it sucks that it's not on steam, but thems the breaks in this newer world where epic is bending over and tossing money at any major game developer that is releasing a potential blockbuster game. I may be buying it, but I'm still not happy that I have to play it through epic's shitty launcher. I just hope it's denuvo free.

I'm sure Epic Games will start scream queening about how they locked this one down and people will tell them to shutup. Glad to see BL3 showing up but it's always disappointing to see exclusives for any platform / store, and I'm dubious they'd get the sales numbers they'd want because of the whole 40% of Epic Games playerbase didn't have Steam installed thing. (Which I'm assuming is because they all signed up for Fortnite and represent the younger audiences they havent made it out of YouTube videos and web based games till then.) But only time will tell if people latch on this properly.

I hadn't thought of that. There does seem to be some natural cross-promotional and development opportunities between those two games. I guess as long as it's done well and isn't overly exploitative it could be fun.

Surprise Suprise, Epic has their Astroturfers out in full force in this thread, no need to call out the names, it is as plain as day, pathetic really.

I'll just buy it on PS4. Will get it again on PC whenever it releases on Steam. Epic can lick my hairy asshole.

Remember when "PC exclusivity" meant it was going to be the best looking game at the highest possible frame rate, because they didn't need to downgrade the PC version to match consoles?

Now, "PC exclusivity" means "still available on console, but the PC version is stuck with a vastly inferior software launcher, that's still missing several important features you've been using for years."

I say all that as a console owner who will be buying the game there instead.

Gag. I don’t want bloat on my computer. Thank god wasn’t very appealing to me. Though I was thinking about getting the remasters on steam. They’ll probably make it exclusive before it comes out.

I am getting it on PS4 because everyone i play with is on PS4, but even so i dont understand how people in this thread defend Epic when they are basically removing their choice of where to buy the game on PC, instead forcing them to buy it on an inferior platform.

I honestly don't give a shit about anyone else that's not me when making a purchase. Game is working as intended on another launcher ? no worries, I'm in.

That whole fuss about Epic Store is a smoke screen. Where was the outrage about LoL not being on steam for the vast majority of gamers to play it on Linux before 2017 ?

its just embarassing all around

I have waited years for BL3. I don't blame the publishers at all for taking the easy money. But I can wait longer until it's not on the epic store.

which features need you for a single player game?

Epic=GOAT ...I love how they in zero @#$% given mode, you don't like what we do..move tha @#$% on 🤣🤣

Me/or console gamers all have to do is press A button on xbl and it starts pre-loading, or cop that at BB. Problem solved 😎

Well
Literally just started playing through the games in anticipation for 3. Guess I'll be playing it in 2020.

How about you do your fucking research and see that EGS scrapes your PC for files that it has no right to access. "Muh friend list" is not an argument when Steam has perfectly working API that you can use. But of course that API needs user to login through Steam and Tim can't have that, that would give the power to the consumer while he is all about developers.
which features need you for a single player game?
How about workshop support or Steamworks, which means games do not relly on other servers outside of Steam and even if the publisher himself goes down, the game is still playable thanks to Steamworks.

I don't get what peoples deal is with having it on the Epic Store. I must be one of the few that doesn't care if I have to have 1 extra launcher to play a game I want to play.

I just need to play the first games first.
I am lucky enough to play them with the update so why not.
Also I don't care if it is only on Epic Store.
If it is good, then I am happy.

I don't know why i am bothering replying to you but it's not just about being 1 extra launcher. It is also about how scummy Epic is by stealing games by bribing them with wads of cash to be on Epice Store only, this fucks over everyone but the developers, god forbid gamers be upset about this. Also, Epic is half owned by the Chinese government and Epic is already spying on you. You probably already knew this but are feigning ignorance.

Steam is not your friend. They where close to achieving a monopoly. This will only make steam better in the long run.
Look how fucked GPU prices are.. and how abysmall the jump was in the new RTX line. Nvidia basically has a monopoly in the high end.

I prefer steam above epic. But i like steam to change. And work harder to get those “exclusives”
