The gimmick was that I just listed one per letter. Cryptoadam was more in my mind in terms of Trump, so I listed him. Which, in this case, is also a case of different debate cultures, while you are pretty calm in my memories, Cryptoadam is pretty "loud", which lets me think of him first.

There's already Super Mario, so no. Maybe if he was just named Mario? It was just to illustrate that it is easy to list a lot of Trump supporters by limiting to one per letter and only using memory and very recent threads, i.e. there are tons of Trump supporters on this site, which made the claim that one suspects someone must "hide" them extra strange for me.

Even if I was angry about that, there would only be five potential people I could be angry at: Excelsiorlef, that stalker guy (McDoogle?), the anonymous mod who banned me, the anonymous admin who made it permanent or myself. Chances are none of those are on the list I posted (100% sure on excelsiorlef, stalker guy and myself), so I am pretty confident in saying that I hold no grudge to anyone on the list in terms of being banned on Resetera.

I'm not here to fight people. It happens at times, especially when people start bullying others (and, lately, especially Nobody_Important ), but it is not my intent to come here to pick fights. And, again, my previous posting regarding Trump supporters was not an aggressive act anyway.

At least with Nobody, that does not make any sense, because he is not permed at Resetera, but has a live account (and uses a different user name anyway). For me, let's just say, I consider it a pretty stupid idea to post here to get a Resetera account unbanned. Resetera mods have enough to do on their own site and will certainly not evaluate postings here for the purpose of overturning permanent bans reviewed by administration. Additionally, if I were here solely to ask for contact details for Resetera administration to get unbanned, how come I have probably amassed hundreds, if not north of a thousand postings since I was banned at Resetera?

Yeah, it's a bit strange to hear that this place is some kind of alt-right website just because people are allowed to disagree with each other.

It's the same with the "Gamergate subreddit" KotakuInAction. Sure, some of the posters are a bit suspect and the sub is pretty biased BUT if you showed up there posting stuff that the Resetera stereotype of a Gamergator would post then they'd probably just ban you.

In truth KiA is just people whining about stuff they think is wrong or unfair, sometimes rightfully so, sometimes not, but it's not some crazy unhinged hell-hole of hate, racism and sexism.

I think the counter-argument to this is that the alt-right etc are so subtle and so amazingly deceptive that you don't know what's happening until it's too late. You might think it's just lads saying that The Last Jedi is shit but before you know it you're donning a white hood and burning a cross.

So you might think NeoGAF is actually not pro Trump and not hard right but actually that's how we'll get ya.

Change the demographics involved though and those talking points have to take a back seat and in-fighting is pretty much the logical conclusion.

Where I see a brutal assault that should be condemned in the strongest terms (which it has been) others will just be looking for how this confirms their worldview.

'Tweren't no sacrifice. It be a suicide. I realized that if I couldn't say something even that mild, I wouldn't find the kind of intellectual stimulation I was looking for there... ever. First thing I did when I came to NeoGAF was argue that the Civil War wasn't about racism, and when I somehow emerged without being banned for downplaying racism and supporting the Nazi south, my first thought was, "oh, the discussions I can have here!"... and then I went on a week long shitposting spree, because the town drunk can get away with anything.
