Yup! I knew we are top 3! Coming second doesn’t surprise me at all. But where the hell is Kuwait though? Them not being on the list makes me doubt this list

Would be more interesting to see it broken down by per capita.

Both Canada & Australia are significantly behind the U.S in population, yet there's only a 5% difference in total obesity.

Canada is surprising. I thought y'all were constantly running away from bears and towards hockey pucks, how are you fat?

It's the Tim Hortons. Every morning, it's not unusual to see long ass lineups at the drive-thru just for someone to purchase a single cup of coffee.

It always makes me cringe from both a health and environmental perspective that people can't just walk inside and order food.

They need to bulk up for the cold weather. They're not fat just 'husky'.

Australia is the real surprise. I thought everyone there was in beach body shape. Must be all the alcohol and BBQ.

It looks like all the Chick-Fil-A locations here in the city on an average lunch hour.

"And I thought nobody liked those homophobes!" I said ironically.

In Netherlands most people go to work..everywhere...with a bicycle. Thats why people there always in good shape

Americans and Saudis need to exercise more often because that table is not looking good

If I lived in Brazil or Italy I would do everything in my power to not be obese just due to the sheer number of extraordinarily attractive women around me
I guess you are a fan of hairy legs and mustaches... Hey, I don't judge. I don't know about the hairy legs, but I think I could work with mustaches. Maybe. It's not a dealbreaker, is what I'm saying.

I lost 30 pounds when I lived in Japan in about two months. It was a combination of diet and exercise. Basically ate meat, rice, and ramen and had to walk hours every day just to get places. Now I just drive around in a mobility scooter and eat a tub of ice cream with a ladle.

And wash yourself with a rag on a stick.

People aren't getting fatter, its just that we always had what was fat wrong. People are just becoming normal weight, fat people in the past were actually skinny we just didn't understand it back then.

Now back to overweight influencers who can tell me how great a life it is to be morbidly obese.

The whole world eats mostly processed foods. Processed foods are laden with sugar (in various unhealthy forms) and refined sugar makes you fat. This trend will continue in a bad direction most likely - unfortunately.

And it's not even good coffee! The donuts are awful and the breakfast sandwiches taste like the powdered eggs are mixed in the slop bucket they wash the toilets with every night.

I wouldn't say it's completely worthless, but it's not exactly highly accurate either. A skinny fat dude with low muscular mass and high body fat might be normal weight while a muscular protein monster techno viking with low body fat might be a fat fuck according to BMI.

Yep.

When I was in my early/mid 20s and weight training a lot my BMI would say I was overweight because I was low body fat, high muscle and heavy.

Now in my mid 30s I train way less, my diet is way worse and although I'm a lighter weight my body fat percentage is way higher and I am in far worse physical shape despite my BMI actually being better than it was in my 20s

I’m American, can confirm a lot of obese people are here. This is why we need guns, because we’re basically defenseless cows.

Being fat is bad for your health bro

You l be prone to heart disease, metabolic syndrome, diabetes, respiratory disease, low back pain...

Its much safer to be skinny than fat

Not saying skinny is good..its not....but better than being obese/overweight...

im trying to lose my weight too now...im slightly out of shape...

35% is actually pretty good considering the amount of sugar out there. It's everywhere and obesity is the ultimate dilemma in America and will continue to back it in a corner.
