It was yesterday (April 14th). Rest in Peace.

Prolific author of many different fictional books and short stories.

Locusmag pays its respects.

Though there are so many words of his that've stuck with me over the years, I'll leave it with this:

All beds became deathbeds at last.

Fingerlickin' Good!
Haven’t heard that name for a long time. I remember reading Free Live Free and There Are Doors a long time ago

Neil Gaiman also spoke up, having been a big advocate for Gene Wolfe over the years:

Who? Anything notable?
If you like sci-fi, Fifth Head of Cerberus.
If you like fantasy, the Wizard-Knight duology.
If you like historical fiction, Latro in the Mist.
If you like magical realism, The Sorcerer's House and Peace.

He is most-known for 'The Solar Cycle', a series of 12 books starting with Shadow of the Torturer.

He also has a lot of short-story collections worth looking into, if you like that kind of book.
