When will people finally get fed up with the SJW BS?
Wait till this spreads to everything else.
I can imagine job interviews in nearby future.
Example 1:
Interviewer: Why should we hire you?
Applicant: I'm gay/non-white/trans/non-cisgendered and I'm holding a smartphone.
Interviewer: uhh, I don't understand, what do you mean?
Applicant: Hire me or I will destroy you!

Example 2:
Interviewer: I'm sorry but you were called in by mistake. You see, you are white and non-effeminate, hiring you could destroy the reputation of the company.

I actually saw a job requirement that asked what the applicant did to reduce CO2 emissions on a personal basis. We'll be in the "nearby future" literally tomorrow.

I’m assuming the OP did their due diligence. And checked that all Pepe Frogs are banned from Dreams. And not simply post this image of an interactive 3D character.

Indeed, it's worth investigating before jumping to conclusions. One static picture may not describe the whole creation.
People who are eager to criticize the "SJW" overreactions could benefit from following their own advice.

Not going to name the person. But go on Reddit to the dream sub and the person that this happened to posted this. The original picture has his PSN ID on it as well. So you'll probably be able to see that in Dream he is a content creator.

I'm not even doubting the snapshot is legit. But was the creation banned only because it was "Pepe the frog", or is there more to it ? Dreams is more than a 3D modeling tool, that creation may have been doing more than showing a static render of a frog.

They've banned a picture of a frog.

Just let that sink in for a bit.
actually, they banned the picture of a frog that has been adopted as a symbol by some, let's say, unsavory characters

of course that doesn't mean that every depiction of it implies something malign, but when you operate on such a big market share, being the least offensive for the least amount possible of people is in the job description.

that's why for a lot of time white, bald/shaved middle aged man were the most used stereotype for a protagonist..it was not because people liked that appearance, but because it was the appearance with less features that peple could dislike.

on one hand i can see why people think this is overreacting..but considering this is basically the internet we are talking about, it takes very little for things to go really wrong if you lower your guard..look at what happened when nintendo opened the stage bulder in smash bros..time an hour and it was filled with stuff that shouldn't have been there.

it's a bad situation for people into moderation..be lax and people would take advantage of it,be strict and people will complain you are overreacting.

If folk like having nice things maybe they should lay the blame at the feet of the Far Right for hijacking stuff for their own ends. Just a thought.
It's odd that people are still trying to push the idea that Pepe is "just a cartoon frog" when it's been so politicized over the years be it by leftist exaggeration or the alt right tying it to so must racist shit and using it as a symbol to antagonise the left. The whole "it's just a cartoon frog" angle is laughable.

And you know what the best evidence of this is?; Look at the reactions when Pepe is banned. It's instantly seen as a political stance showing that Pepe is an icon tied to politics. I wonder how many people complaining here will also bemoan how politics should be kept out of gaming on other topics? it seems yet again that "Gaming should be politics free" is just code for "Gaming should be free of politics I don't like".

Look at how hilariously conflicting people's opinions are in this thread and in this one.

Nah, Sony can get bent. It's an internet joke, first and foremost, no matter how desperately the 35 year olds LARPing as 75 year old church ladies want to insist that every time Pepe shows up, "it's a political statement".

Those who are doing this are quite literally the clueless normies walking into a room toward the end of a joke saying "huh? What are you kids saying? Tell me! I'll tell my Dad if you don't tell me the joke, and he'll sue your parents". Yeah.... fuck off you grade-school abortions.

This reminds me of when some parents in the conservative circles of my upbringing banned Harry Potter (witchcraft!) and Pokemon (evolution and demon-familiars!). My parents just laughed and told us to be respectful of other families' beliefs, even if it meant banning a harmless children toy.

Personally I agree with this guy:
Private platform. If ideologues want to advocate for these things, you can always find a different kid-friendly handheld with online connectivity.

In all seriousness though, this is the least Nintendo could do. Navigating through the Super Mario Maker levels on the Wii U was a complete joke and sullied my enthusiasm for what was an otherwise-amazing game. I hope navigation (and moderation) of SMM2 is much better this time around.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
