Regardless of side on the topic of Israel, there is a complete lack of respect or empathy in that thread. Then again, that thread had nothing to do with politics in the first place, and the moderation did nothing to get it on track. But yes, you're right on the "wrongthink" bans. The forum will never "die" but I wonder when it will become the "perfect" bubble; it's getting close to that point.

No bias aside, I'm not going to pretend Israel doesn't have its own share of controversy.
Opening a store in Israel is problematic, but no more so than doing business with China, or importing millions of barrels of oil from Saudi Arabia.
Basically, the world is already too hypocritical for it to make a difference and for us to look "moral".
Also, chances are any technology you're using basically has Israel involved. Intel invests a ton of money in their Israel branch for example so better throw away those CPUs if you intend to boycott!
My own personal opinion, I'm not actually against the state of Israel. I do get annoyed though that both Democrats and Republicans throw blind support behind them and the billions of dollars they receive as a result but other than that, I don't really care what they do.

I can give credit to Israel for being a major powerhouse in technology.
The USB stick was invented there, they made some nice guns (the Uzi submachine gun and Desert Eagle pistol are Israeli), they also make great strides in converting salt water into clean drinking water.
Nothing wrong with having diplomatic relations with them. But that's all I want. When it comes to the West Bank/Gaza dispute, we shouldn't pick a side.

I was there more time than him. I already notice that the forum was a putrit place with barely any discussion(many of them are afraid to post and receive the tag "banned" for whatever the reason they want, including me). But it took me a time to realize there was more of a prison than a discussion forum. Most of times it sounds more like a kid running the entire forum, reading every piece of post just waiting for a juicy ban and jumping for joy when they do so.
Not much different from Sonic Stadium though. The admins there act like nazis.
