Why we allways must have some type of go games on phones and not real games with normal controls like console games?

Presentation was pretty decent. I want to try this but as we're overseas, it's probably not going to have support for any place in the US even if I download it from the JP app stores.

Mobile has both.

I should say Mobile is the best place to play all DQ games.

As much as I love DQ (no not Dairy Queen) as much as I’m definitely skipping this. Ooorrrrrr I might have it on stand by and check it out when I go out for a walk

From what I've been reading about this game, there are actually NPC's out in the world that you can talk to and they give you quests. As someone who loves the Dragon's Quest series more than the Pokemon series, this sounds absolutely amazing.

Doubt we'll get it in the states, but still sounds amazing.

Just came to say I have been playing this game for about a week now. And it is way better than I was expecting! Its very cool!

This is actually, suprisingly to me, a decent jrpg. But with some walking involved to get to quests and special events. Evey time you start a new quest you pick a location on the map (usually just a few blocks away) and then you go there to trigger a boss fight or to meet an NPC etc. And your neighborhood map starts to get populated with the DQ towns and castles etc. Once in a while a big moster like a troll or dragon will spawn in the map, which seems to be this games ver of a public event. Very cool.

I was expecting some kind of monster collection game like pokemon go with some really dumbed down combat. But no, the combat in this game is legit. 4 party members and your typical jrpg style combat.

There is an auto attack button that lets the AI pick the attacks and spells. But its really only good vs low lvl monsters or lower than player level. But against bosses and harder mobs this is a legit JRPG with a fair amount of complexity for this kind of mobile game. And you have to manage you mana and pick attacks wisely.

Monsters liberally spawn in the world. You don't even need to walk around just to grind out some levels. You really only need to walk to advance your quest level. And the lvl of monsters in the world is tied to that. So if you dont do quests, you will never see higher lvl mobs.

My only complaint about it, is the same as I would make about any normal mobile game tropes. Like it has loot boxes for armor and wepons, and a currency type (gems) that they hand out for free initially liberally but later becomes harder to come by without paying real money. But there is still quite a lot here for non paying people like me.
