Normalization is a thing for vectors, not society. Society isn't going to just decide that something is okay just because it becomes accustom to seeing it. It requires acceptance of ideas, not indifference to them. We don’t have gay marriage because we became apartheid to the concept. Being afraid of “normalization” is essentially admitting that your world view us so terrible that you think, given a choice, the majority of people would choose a different one.

I have a bet with a friend we decided to do a little experiment to see how far we could push it and see what our reasons are for being banned on there don't worry ain't leaving gaf.
It is nice to not always have to walk on eggshells and be allowed to speak my mind without fear of being banned and actually meet people with a sense of humor.

Well my old resetera account my reasons for being banned was advocating a war crime against civilians lol so I guess I have to find some way to top that for the record I did not do that.
I got into a discussion with some folks who denied the Japanese atrocities in China and how America was evil for dropping the nukes, and I made the argument without the nukes the casulties would have been in the millions if a land invasion would have taken place.
I am very much against war crimes for the record but resetera mods decided I was an inhuman monster so they banned me.

And remember, Japanese developers still make games, so I got to read about how Samurai Shodown's characters are too sexy recently, and there's no way the new Tales game won't get brought up (if it hasn't already). Cyberpunk (the genre, not just 2077 specifically) uses a lot of Japanese imagery because of xenophobic fears from the 80's.
(EDIT) To be clear, neither me nor the user on Twitter were in any way trying to say you can't enjoy Cyberpunk or that Cyberpunk today is racist. Only that a lot of the imagery originally came from economic fears of the time frame. Again, this is from a historically interesting point of view...
