If Nvidia is smart they will bundle this game with an RTX 2080 and give a discount on the card. This might give me the push to buy an rtx

If Cyberpunk was staying as a pure RPG then the framerate loss from raytracing might have been acceptable. If it's leaning more towards being an 'action rpg' then thanks but I'd rather have a more responsive framerate than the better reflections.

I don´t care, it wont improve the appearance of the game radically and even if I buy an nvidia card to play this game it will run like hot garbage with RT, prices here are crazy so it will have to be something like the 1660:

I've yet to be impressed with any raytracing demo they have shown so far. Maybe it's because I've been working with "real" 3D render engines for years, but none of this stuff looks significantly better with RTX than without, and some games like the recently released RTX version of Quake 2 look downright hideous compared to the original.

You need to be some kind of a fanboy to pretend there is absolutely no valid reasons to chose an AMD card over an nvidia card.
I really see no reason except better prices if you get a good deal.

That is a sad truth.

PS. I don't use neither AMD or nVidia... I'm PlayStation's fanboy if you want to use tags.

Don’t know what you are on, I worked with Vray (an offline raytracer for example 3D studio Max) for years and the stuff I did with lighting, was even years back ahead of what we have now.. the stuff that they do now with RT real time in games is amazing, and a real jump forward for the games industry, in realism. Games that are old, lake geometry and textures, but something like Quake RTX looks way better in the lighting and shadowing department, art direction is another beast ...

I think we all know what's going on there 😏

in all seriousness thou, it's an ad for a drink which the main selling point is u can mix up 16 different flavors, so I guess that's the point?

Well, chosing amd or nvidia hardware is a far more complex situation than chosing a console, there are way more factors that can lean the balance, you have not given it much thought.

Let me put that way.

I don't care about any... for me makes no difference witch one sells more or have the better hardware... the only interesting part are how they build their architectures.

But I know ray-tracing is not a waste and there is no reason except price to buy AMD cards today.
nVidia is at least two generations ahead AMD in GPU tech.

Amd should take note and launch a gpu with ray tracing hardware same day as cyberpunk + make bundles

Would be smart to make up how they are behind.

As of right now it is as simple as this. Do you want better performance? Go with Nvidia. Do you want lower TDP typically? Go with Nvidia. Do you want Ray Tracing capability? Go with Nvidia. Do you want to save a bit of money but less performance and higher TDP typically with higher thermals? Go AMD.

How old are you exactly? Ray Tracing in gaming has been the holy grail for many many years, do some research and stop being all butthurt AMD is behind the curve like always and will not even have limited Ray Tracing until late 2020.

So you know the past, therefore you know the future, that´s some awesome logic there.

Wrong, there is plenty of valid reasons to buy AMD cards today, not liking nvidia is one, for example.

Apparently i know it better than you do considering that Nvidia brought mainstream Ray Tracing to the masses and now everyone including AMD, Microsoft and Sony are adopting it. So yes, i do know the future and it is not hard to see it when it comes to Ray Tracing.

You might also prefer amd features, superior performance in your favorite games, bigger more future proof memory buffers, the looks of amd logo and Lisa Zu, etc. There is plenty of valid reasons to choose AMD over nvidia. But for some reason everybody has to prefer the features you like or you are wasting your money lol.

You know the future, you will not drop the arrogance, I´m done with you.

am not buying this on current gen consoles lmao. sub 30 fps

am waiting for next gen version. yeah I get that I can build a gaming pc and all. too expensive and I just don't like to play that kind of games on pc.
