Keep on imagining what you want to believe I said about FF VII when I clearly didn't, that is you own problem.

There is one thing I will concede that you are right about and that is I got confused and mistakenly named FF X instead of FF X-2 as that is the game that was released mid PS2 era(2003) from where on FF basically fell into irrelevance until the remake of FF XIV like I specified.

You basically confirmed what I said, you just used a lighter term and called them low points from FF X-2 to FF XIII-3 is literally mid PS2-era through almost the end of the PS3 era when FF XIV was made just like I said. Only this wasn't a low point it was almost the demise of FF franchise and extinction of SE.

Lying doesn't do you any good. You said FF was receiving hype because people have been waiting for years.

You did mean FF7.

You're not trying to damage control when I started showing facts.

How was FF barely successful in the west when 7,8, and 10 sold millions in the US?

The fact that you keep ignoring my questions shows me you're afraid to admit that you're wrong.

yeah, it's probably gonna come out much later, otherwise they would have announced it already.
Let's be real, at least 80 percent of the console FF fanbase is on playstation.

I didn't mean FF VII, just like I didn't mention 8 yet here you are bring it into the conversation when it has nothing to do in the discussion as I never even mentioned it. I mistakenly named FF X and admitted that and meant to say FF X-2. I even earlier specifically said that FF basically lost relevance from mid PS2 era, which was when FF X-2 was released till the remake of FF XIV that is a fact even you admitted, but just tried to label it differently.

You are literally stumbling over your own words, just stop acting ignorant.

I am certain it will come out on Xbox just like Nier.

As for popularity can't disagree much there, but FF XV was received pretty well on the Xbox so it probably has gained more following especially with so many titles now being back-compatible and enhanced as well on the XOne. I think the fact that it is a action game now will have a much bigger crowd interested.

No one is stumbling over anything. You're not even acknowledging your previous statements because you know you were wrong.

You tried to downplay FF7's hype by saying the only reason people are excited is because they have been waiting for so long.

That is a LIE.

I'll ask you specfically since you're scared to even acknowledge those post you have made.

Was Final Fantasy 7 popular on the PSX and is it one of the most popular RPG games in the West?

Simple question.

I acknowledged what I said and meant, what you interpreted in your own mind even though I didn't write is out of my control. And you keep doing it over and over.

I never downplayed FF VII just FF as a franchise that was in disarray and in near collapse. I also never said anything about FF VII not selling well in any of my comments that is all in your head. What I referred to was that the reemergence of the FF franchise with FF XIV and FF XV reinvigorated the audience for a remake of FF VII to new levels that coincided with the climax popularity of the FF franchise, which it hasn't experienced since it glory days on the turn of the century.

I won't comment on PSX and FF VII popularity on it as it was a Japanese console that I am unfamiliar with and I don't have information on. As for FF VII's RPG status as a game and its popularity in the West you got to define what you consider "most popular" Top 3, 5, or 10 overall I personally wouldn't put it into that category, if your speaking for its time when it released, yeah then definitely.

Who else did a drinking game whenever that booming voice announced WORLD PREMIER? I pretend drank a vodka shot every time and then pretended I needed to be in the ICU for alcohol poisoning by the end of the show.

LOL. Just lying.

The reason those titles have been hyped is due to them being hyped for 3+ years.

You clearly stated the titles I mentioned were hyped because they were being hyped for 3+ years.

And FF wasn't anything more than a CGI title that was barely successful in the west till XIV and XV

I replied to you about the 3+ year comment and you said FF was barely successful in the west til XIV and XV.

No one misread anything.

You just flat out lied.

So were eyou wrong for stating that the only reason why FF7 was hyped because people were waiting 3+ years?

Here again is you not reading what I say and misinterpreting what I write.

I said the anticipation of 3+ years has elevated its hype to this level. And yes I also said the FF franchise started to vain and came close to collapsing by losing its popularity until the remake of FF XIV and FF XV, which allowed FF VII interest to peak at such a level. If it wasn't for the success of FF XIV ARR and FF XV that brought back the FF franchise hype, the hype around FF VII wasn't going to be this big. The fact that FF VII is also now a Action game compared to turned based game alone expanded its horizon to a whole other level that was first pioneered by FF XIV in the franchise and taken to the next level in FF XV from which FF VII is the next evolution from. If FF VII was still a turn based game, the game in this age and time wouldn't get half the hype for it thus it is ridding on the hype and success execution of FF XIV ARR and FF XV as much as its own history, which is why it is a remake and not a remaster for which people wouldn't care half as much bar the hardcore fans in this era.

Nope. That's not what you said.

My reading is fine, you're just trying to chagne what you said because you were caught in a lie.

The reason those titles have been hyped is due to them being hyped for 3+ years.

THE REASON those titles have been hyped is DUE to them being hyped for 3+ years.

The reveal for The Last of Us Part II and Final Fantasy 7: REMAKE were hyped when they were FIRST announced.

And FF wasn't anything more than a CGI title that was barely successful in the west till XIV and XV

TILL

You said TILL XIV and XV.

You CLEARLY stated it was barely successful till XIV and XV.

It was successful WHEN FF7 released.

Just stop it already. Fanboys like yourself just can't stand it when you're wrong.

My reading is fine, anyone who isn't a fanboy can see that you're lying.

Your hilarious with the mental gymnastics your trying to pull of in your mind.

Are you trying to tell me people were more excited about the actual announcement than when they are about to play the game according to your logic. The game has been building anticipation for 3+ years, how do you not get this. Hype rises the closer the releases day approaches.

And yes FF was barely successful until FF XIV ARR and FF XV, because you yourself admitted their "low points" spanned half the PS2 era and almost all of PS3 era that is a span of around 13 years or so. Just because you were successful as a franchise at one point in time does not make you successful for your whole existence. FF was awaking out of a financial slump that almost bankrupted them. You wouldn't have called FF successful during that period now would you. And if you want to get even further into it, if it wasn't for the combat that evolved through FF XIV ARR and FF XV there wouldn't be near as much hype for a turn based FF VII remake, so those titles directly attributed to the hype of FF VII remake piggy backing off of them to new highest of popularity for FF VII Remake.

How old are that you don't get these simple logic.

Do you know the FINAL FANTASY MOVIE is what hurt them and not the game, right? :messenger_tears_of_joy: :messenger_tears_of_joy: :messenger_tears_of_joy:

They lost millions dollars due to Final Fantasy Spirits Within. This has NOTHING to do with their games.

I know what you're going to do now, you're going to say, "It's still final fantasy is what I was talking about."

No, you tried to blame this on their games and try to make it appear like the bad quality of games was the result of their downfall.

Final Fantasy X-2, Final Fantasy 13, Final Fantasy 15 are ALL considered low points in the series. This has NOTHING do with with sales.

Final Fantasy 13 actually sold well. One can argue that they had more finical trouble with Final Fantasy 15 because of how long it took for them to develop the game.

Just because you were successful as a franchise at one point in time does not make you successful for your whole existence.

Nearly all major Final Fantasy releases sold well.

So yeah, I caught you in another lie.

Wrong. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Do you think the combat is new?

Let me give you a hint? Kingdom Hearts.

Mitsunori Takahashi worked on Kingdom Heats II, which was considered the best in the series.

It's clear you don't know what you're talking about because Final Fantasy 14 battle system is similar to Final Fantasy 11, which was their first "open world" Final Fantasy game. This combat system carried over to Final Fantasy 12.

So everything you said in this quote above? All BS.

You're literally trying to make stuff up as you go, and you're EASILY getting exposed with facts.

You are hopeless my man you keep digging your own hole just deeper and deeper.

You are acting ignorant and this has basically become a exchange of you just talking and making up points I never made. If you can't stick to facts and points one makes in their rebuttals please refrain from having discussions with people. This is the most unconstructive exchange I have had on the internet in ages. So congratulations on being the first fanboy to be blocked, an honor I was certain was going to fall to TLW, but you took the cake by a landslide. (y)

You didn't post any facts. I caught you lying multiple times and you posted no source whatsoever to back up your claims.

You have facts, I don't.

When you put it like that yeah, but gameplay of these games might come later as the year go by.

But yeah i agree, some games like Ori, Cyberpunk and Gears of Wars 5 they could have showed some gameplay at least
Yeah and GoW5 comes out in a few month...and still no real gameplay trailer just some wobbeling faces😂😂
