E3 is finally almost done, and thank goodness it is. Gaming has been a central part in all our lives, and as the years go by these events seem to be getting worse. I feel like gaming industry as a whole is not getting any better. Especially compared to the 90s-2000 era. This has been the worst E3 I can remember, so instead of making the classic "Who won E3" thread, I've decided to put a negative spin on it.

For me it was Bethesda:
  1. Dedicated way too much time on telephone games nobody cares about
  2. Exhumed Commander Keen for a phone game
  3. Virtue signaling from staff was unbearable
  4. Instead of apologizing from the F76 fiasco Todd cracked jokes about it
  5. Overtly woke games
  6. Making a cloud engine instead of updating to current standards their Gamebryo engine
  7. Last but not least obnoxious paid NPC shills that screamed at every little fart
Doom eternal was the highlight of their show imo
Vote and discuss your choice.

Bethesda was slightly saved by the awesome Doom Eternal. That game looked so good and was my game of E3.

Ubisoft on the other hand had absolutely nothing.

For me both Ubisoft and EA was........bad, really bad. It wasn't even funny bad so you can at least laugh about it, they were just painfully (that I physically felt) boring.

It's not an easy choice buy went for EA due to them just not having enough things but it dragged on for so long. However, Microsoft handled their first party games the poorest. No campaign gameplay in gears 5 is atrocious. Halo infinite trailer adds nothing to the game. The trailer for outer worlds does nothing showcasing the strength of obsidian which is their quest design and writing. Those horrible lego implementation for their titles are pointless. Nothing for AOE4 which is an rts game developed for 2 years is also insane. They can't be considered as the worst simply because they have far more access to resources and announcement from third party which make them always worth a watch.

I know Bethesda is leading, but Doom Eternal and Ikumi Nakamura saved it from being a total shitshow. EA on the other hand had no redeeming qualities. Anthem did so bad they weren't even allowed to show their face lmao

Oh I see. Apparently an Xbox fanboy who hates Nintendo judging by his posting history.
How is it different than one of the biggest Sony fanboys on this fourm voting Xbox the worst?, which you did. I mean i dont like Nintendo, and hate the Switch, but i voted for Google.
Whether you hate Xbox or not, no way was it close to being the worst conference.

I initially voted Bethesda, but upon reflection I realized how disappointed I was in the Star Wars game. I realized that there is no SSX. No real amount of anything at the EA conference, so I changed my vote.

GerAlt-Right. Ciriously.
Here is what I had hoped for:
1. Fallout 3 and/or New Vegas remaster - Nope. Biggest fuck you to Bethesda
2. Splinter Cell - Nope. Fuck you Ubisoft.
3. Deus Ex. Be it remaster of Human Revolution. Sequel to Mankind Divided - Nope. Fuck you Square Enix
4. Legit bombshells and surprises from MS. THIS WAS THEIR GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY!!!!!!!! Instead, a bunch of CGI trailers - Fuck you Microsoft.
5. Metroid Prime trilogy - Fuck you Nintendo
6. New Nintendo revision hardware - Fuck you again Nintendo

Admittedly 2 on that list is the only one that had a realistic chance of happening.
Number 1 was a big deal to me, because the PC version of Fallout 3 is godawful. I've tried patching it, using online mods, but the game just is constantly crashing and freezing on PC. Playing it on PC is not a viable option. The game badly needs an update to be more compatible with modern hardware, similar to Skyrim SE. 3. is also frustrating because it along with Hitman are really the only Square Enix franchises I care about. Pretty much every big last gen game from Square Enix has been re-released on current gen EXCEPT FOR HUMAN REVOLUTION. WTF!!!!!!!!!!

Sony did me good by not showing up, although I am a little disappointed because it would have been awesome had they come in and announced a State of Play and formally introduced the PS5 and some exclusive games.

Honestly, the best video game related thing that has happened these last few days as far as I am concerned is that the original xbox Splinter Cell games are now backwards compatible. But that also became another "fuck you!" when I see that they're $14.99 each. Fuck you again Microsoft.

Fuck you E3 2019. Fuck you.

I voted Google, due to my dislike for Google Stadia and the "streaming games is the future" nonsense.
Same here. I mean technically Bethesda was the worst. But all their phone games and virtue signaling won't affect my enjoyment of Doom Eternal. I find Google to be far worse. A subscription on top of paying for the games and the fact that streaming is pretty much not feasible for most of the planet.

Was EAs conference really that bad that its beating Bethesda? 😮

Its a public poll lol

Yes, IMHO, it was. It was just so... Uninspired. Everything about it was just "meh"... Even as an occasional Sims 4 player I was like.... And that's it? :D

I have just noticed that the poll was public. lol
But I'm not about to shame him, or her, I guess there's enough people that did not like the Nintendo Direct.

Ea then Beth then Ubi for me.
Ea only has SW that I might be interested in, Beth has Doom Eternal and ubi has nothing for me but I liked their show a bit more.

EA had so little I completely even forgot they where there :messenger_unamused:

Bethesda by a mile though, they where the chosen one, DOOM 2016, Dishonoured, Prey, Skyrim, Fallout 3/4, Wolfenstein etc... and now they have Todd up on stage looking smugg and making jokes about their incompetence smh.

It's actually tough to select a "winner" here. It was terrible all around. I'll go with EA though, that Star Wars single player game...my gosh...
