And the fact that the Mods and Admins behind ResetEra are doing everything in their power to hide this, tells me they've got some skeletons in their closest. Especially since they were so quick to condemn Evilore when accusations were thrown at him.

Back before the split I got dogpiled in a thread that was about someone breaking Trumps walk of fame star. I essentially said that it was escalating to stupid levels. After a bit of back and forth, I quoted MLK. I got informed that he was a wife beater and that anyone who quotes MLK's position on non-violence is a racist.

The majority on resetera will never change. I truly believe that. Sure, there will be some who will wake up, realise that they've been manipulated into holding extreme views and leave...but the majority? No chance. They're so heavily indoctrinated into their little cult that they truly believe that they're the moral arbiters of all that is just and good that they'll never look at the situation critically and realize just how hated they are. If they're willing to hunker down and attempt to weather this storm, which any normal person would want to get the hell out of the way of, the only way I see them coming out of their little echo chamber and getting help is kicking and screaming.

These bans are fucking laughable, and just seem like stuff any sane person would say. The first ban is for not thinking pewds is a nazi personally responsible for Christchurch. The third ban is for saying that going back to 20 year-old games to find "problematic" content is pathetic (which it is). But what really cracked me up was the second ban where OP is banned for saying that not all women are goldiggers and she was actually banned for "misogyny". How the fuck is standing up for women, misogyny, these people are seriously mentally ill. It seems to me that place only supports women if they have penises.

Before I became a member here I used to just read the neogaf forums on and off for years. I remember watching how this place was slowly taken over and held hostage by those moral authoritarians.
It was a bit scary to watch. How you'd see people banned every day and how it sent a message of which narratives were acceptable. An ever increasing number of normal opinions and interactions were becoming a version of hate speech and the bans just kept increasing in frequency. It was slowly turning this place into an echo chamber where everyone had to think the same way.
What drives someone to want to control what others can think and say? I guess it's because many of the narratives they hold to be true would fall apart if opposing ides were allowed to be discussed and examined. Just label everything else as hate and enforce an authoritarian safe space.
Then the best thing that could have happened, did. The crazies became so insane they just couldn't handle being among normal people anymore and split off. And thankfully that happened because from an outsiders perspective this place was completely taken over by the worst kind of SJWs.
It's the only reason I'm here now.

I’m not a conspiracy theorist, but I’m starting to think there might be something to the theory that the mods who picked up and started ERA had that whole exodus planned.
It’s amazing how they were able to send everybody into discord servers, and somehow the mods had a list of GAF refugee discords that they then used to give access to ERA, which magically was built and up and running within days.
No way things run that smoothly and coordinated if the GAF exodus was spontaneous.
Like others said, I think the mods wanted their SJW haven to run as they see fit. We are now witnessing the results. They regularly attempt to doxx and destroy people for thought crimes. They also happen to target THQ employees for the 8chan AMA despite the fact that the people they target likely have nothing to do with the whole
8chan situation because apparently everybody at THQ is complicit.
These people are fucking psychos and I guess they needed ERA to allow this garbage to happen because I doubt even GAF 1.0 would have been ok with targeted doxxing campaigns and regular threads threatening supporters of the President along with all the other vile shit they post.

Another thing I find interesting, or sad really, is how miserable all these people seem to be. There seem to be more threads over there about how depressed they are or people contemplating suicide. That’s not normal and it’s concerning how many people over there have some serious mental health problems. It’s also not normal to see oppression and injustice with anybody and anything that doesn’t fit their ideology. It can’t be healthy.
I mentioned before that I tried to suggest to these people that if you are finding yourself feeling depressed and hopeless, it’s a good idea to step back from the news and social media and focus on things that make you happy or give you hope for the future. Spend time with family and friends. Enjoy a hobby. Learn something new, maybe something that can help you grow in a career or start a new career. Realize there are so many opportunities to find happiness in life and you don’t have to be stuck spending all day reading and worrying about things in the news that we personally have little control over.
I of course was called out for my white male privilege (I guess they just assumed my race and gender) and basically told to shut up. The message went right over their heads, so I guess the cycle of depression continues for these people. I honestly feel sorry for a lot of them.

God, when I first joined, he was the one mod that was actually nice to me in that he engaged me in debate and it seemed like he was listening to your arguments unlike other mods who had a god complex. He was the mod that was involved in the (in)famous jbaird thread. I genuinely liked him. Then I watched as he got called out and caught for editing his posts and got de-modded. Then his spiral back into drugs and his plea for help for his mom (I think it was his mom) where he took the money to get more drugs. Then the pedo stuff at the end.
I know GAF gets a black eye about him specifically, but I honestly think that

had a soft spot for him. He just gave him chance after chance after chance. We all knew about his struggles with drugs and we wanted him to get straight. But the pedo shit caught us all off guard. We were so caught up in his other demons that his really nefarious one blindsided us. He's a broken man and he's in a cell where he belongs.

Basically, I think they are more scared about them finding out that they are two faced moreso than whatever that chat had in it (we can have the AOC debate for YEARS and there is room for it). I think it's a bit of a different scenario than what is being argued against the loli stuff being censored by Sony. There, we're arguing that since AOC is younger there, and the games are made there, then they are going by their own laws and we should take that into consideration. The entire aspect of being 16 and being in a consensual relationship with an older person is an entirely different debate that needs more time to it than what I alloted.
But I think the bigger issue we're missing is what would happen if other people who they depend on to get the inside scoop or get leaked info see this, especially since we all know that they have their connections everywhere on the web, so we know there could be some indie dev (say Tim Schafer or Zoe Quinn) who also could have seen that, or maybe Microsoft or Sony. They showed that they favor favoritism and nepotism above having their standards apply to everyone. The second we saw Cerilium (sp?) condone the actions, we knew there was more to this and that the people who were in the chat would not have been punished if they said this same stuff on the mothership. This creates a high double standard, and will also make companies that they have contacted about things like the Nintendo Game and Watch man think twice before taking them seriously. Their pull to have companies cower to their demands would go down severely if they saw that they don't even believe what comes out of their own mouths most of the time. Think about if you're a company and you get a call from one of those regressive lefties or religious righties, only to find that they don't practice what they preach. You'd just laugh your ass off and hang up the phone, block them on social media, the works. THAT'S what's at stake here. They might not care as much about you seeing that the Discord server exists if it wasn't for what you saw them be allowed to be talked about, and what kind of opinions they let go.
Remember, MARZGURL posts there, and has been about the #kickvic stuff. THOSE are the kinds of people Reset is trying to not piss off, and if they saw anything like that where Reset was talking out of both ends, imagine the pitchforks and torches coming after them from those they are pretending they are allies of.

I told people I would be conservative about what I found about those people and I still will. However, there's one particular point I would like to address and for that, I need to throw some small bones.
This discord server and some of the people who were spending their life in it (SinCityAssassin, Schuelma, LordKano, Mpl90, Lite_agent...) are all closely related to the infamous "Media Creates Sales" Threads on Resetera. Those threads are weekly threads who covers Japanese video-games sales (loli sketchy stuff included, of course). There are literally thousand of those threads on Resetera. If someone was participating in the secret discord server, there's a big chance they were also posting in those "Media Creates Sales" threads. So, at the surprise of no one, a group of people who are participating in those "Media Create Sales Threads", the same group of people who are interested in how "Senran Kagura : Peach Beach Splash" and "Atelier sketchy fan services" performed in Japan are also a group of creepy perverts who crave for minors. Each time you start to dig a little about one specific member, you start to stumble into suspect stuff.
For example, I would like to present you Lite_Agent, a Resetera member who post in every Media Creates Sales Threads on Resetera. It's like a ritual to him, he's often the first person to post a comment on those.
