The Witcher III Wild Hunt

PC : Native 4320p @ uncapped framerate

Xbox One X : 2160p Dyn (2160p~1480p) @ 30fps or 1490p Dyn (1490p~1080p) @ 60fps

PlayStation 4 Pro : 2160c @ 30fps with drops or 1080p @ 30fps

PlayStation 4 : Native 1080p @ 30fps with drops

Xbox One : 1080p Dyn (1080p~900p) @ 30fps with drops

Nintendo Switch : 540p handheld and 720p Dyn docked

i never thought this was coming to Switch but i knew if it did it would be SEVERELY GIMPED and by that i mean running at 540p on ultra low settings.

it's great that the Switch is getting more titles like Doom, Witcher, Wolfenstein, Skyrim etc... but it's just not powerful enough to run them at the same resolution as a PS4/XB1.

and honestly i don't see Switch Pro being much better. running on a battery is always gonna fuck you up and a portable device doesn't have great airflow for cooling.

Hi, i've seen that probably GTA V will be launched on Nintendo Switch.

1st: Take Two Interactive wants to support more to Nintendo Switch after those unexpected well sellings of Civilitation VI on Nintendo Switch.

2nd: After releasing The Witcher 3 on Nintendo Switch is more probable that GTA V is on Nintendo Switch because It was launched in PS3 and XBOX 360 before. And those consoles are inferior to the Nintendo Switch.

3rd: another Sand Box GTA style has been released on Nintendo Switch, Saints Row: The Third . Game that before was launched on the PS3 and XBOX 360...

4th: An "impossible" game, The Witcher 3 has been released on Nintendo Switch. A game that has more requirements that GTA V.


After those spects.... If Rockstar Games doesn't release GTA V on Nintendo Switch is because they don't want , because they can perfectly port that game on Nintendo Switch

I'll be buying this game for the 5th time. Haters gonna hate but it's going to look decent on small portable screen. As long as it can hold reasonable 30FPS it will be an amazing port.

Actually, just adding a little bit more (faster) RAM and upping the clock speed on the CPU & GPU would be huge. Of course, we would need a die shrink. It wouldn’t be huge, but would stabilize frame rates and allow for 1080p.

The downgrades are massive already and no actual gameplay has been shown. Expecting a consistent sub 30 FPS experience.

Interested if anyone who already finished the main game and both DLCs will start the adventure all over again just because it's on Switch? Personally, Witcher 3 is one of my all time favorite games, and I spent over 150 hours playing it on PS4. But I won't be double dipping on this one, regardless of the portability on Switch. Curious of what others think.

1080/900 30fps on the base consoles

One X has a 1080 / 30 Quality mode and a full 4k / 60 fps Performance mode.

Everything struggles in Novigrad though, that'll be the test for the Switch.

Halo 3 on 360 was also running sub 720p and the game looked fine. I actually just bought DOOM 4 just to see how it looks on the Switch, massive props to id software if it has higher res than 2x2 pixels. Fucking stoked!!! I am major league surprised by what the Switch can do, honest to God I am.

Game of the year complete edition is like 20 bucks.

If you haven’t played witcher 3 and have a prope home console or pc... go buy it now and forget about the inferior, full retail priced, Vaseline edition .

Nice to see CDPR use the Skyrim approach and port it to everything regardless of how shit it will be

It’s very easy to read thru the typical 16-year old switch shit post of port begging or pretending to be excited about something en masse when no one actually fucking cares or buys it ... like bayonetta. Or fucking packing shit in cardboard with labo... but someone already said that’s amazing here too.. glad y’all happy paying 100$ for ducking cardboard... I can get you some from a dumpster for free.

Guest characters in smash are bigger than game announcements actually featuring those characters.

Well it is fucking amazing, as an owner of high-end PC and PS4 Pro I am legit happy with my purchase. This is my PSP 2.0, I got about 12 years out of my PSP when I switched it for smart phone and now I am switching my smartphone for Switch. Having a device that can play AAA games on a train/plane/car is just mindblowing. As a person who didn't mind the graphics in Halo 3 (which were objectively not good) or who is willing to play Drakengard 3 on PS3 with its 15 fps or NAtURAL DOCtRINE on PS4 (just go and look at the screenshots from that game, looks like a shitty ps2 game) I can get past the fact that I won't run the game at 60fps at 1080p if the trade is that I can bring the game with me anywhere. The thought of playing DOOM 4, Xenoblade 2 or Fire Emblem Three House when I go on excruciating flights like Prague-Dubai-Tokyo is very comforting.

Pretty sure the web browser embedded in some fancy fridges can give the Switch a run for its money.

Impressive that the Witcher 3 runs on that thing at all, 320x480 revival hype.

This is technically impressive, but I can't imagine this will give someone a good experience. Sometimes just because we CAN do something doesn't mean we should do it.
