Quick question

Why are there credits after and before every mission on Metal Gear Solid V Phantom Pain? I never saw that in any similar game (like Zero Dawn or Spider-Man or GTAV)

Still playing Persona Q2 and also playing Bloodstain Ritual of the Night. I hope I can finish those two games before Fire Emblem Three Houses comes out.

This is 2017 all over again, too many games coming out so close to each other.

Just finished Kiwami 2. What an ending!!! What storytelling! Simply superb. It had me at the edge of the seat with tension. Made me crack with funny moments. Enjoyed the pacing and gameplay.
I hope they make Kiwami 3 soon.
Next I'll play 0.

Also playing Astrobot and getting mind-blowin by ti. (I was lttp to PSVR)

ULTROS!

People seem to like me because I am polite and I am rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks.
Stardew Valley and Bloodstained

Easily some of my top games this gen.

Finally wrapped up Pokemon White 2. played without using items in battle.

my hands-on experience with the mainline pkmns are gens 1, 2, 3, but I was itching to play a pkmn after having not playe done in a long while.

something definitely felt off/different with the gameplay and the game design.

it felt like MUCH less of an adventure and severely lacking in puzzles/intensity. Felt like nothing was logically thought out and balanced. Felt waaaayyy too linear and simple. Just nothing was deep enough for me to want to care or know much more than....catch and fight. Cities etc. were unnecessarily big and empty. there didnt feel like enough NPC interaction and side quests that would bring you on tangent missions or areas.

HMs felt entirely useless and just roster slot occupying.... maybe I used cut 1x, surf to do a mandatory traversal a few times, and strength maybe 3x to push a boulder a square or two into a hole. warning: thinking is not required here.

the battling needs an overhaul though...i felt like fights used to be harder or last longer. whats the point of leveling stats if it always just comes down to super effective one shotting. it felt too easy to always have a team of super effective killing machines. no twists in opponents play styles or line ups.

features felt unnecessarily tacked on and useless. just bloatware.

anyways, I was really stoked for the switch pkmns, but after having spent 80 hrs in White 2, I'm kinda hesitant to dive back in. I think these later pokemon games are better suited for the diehards and challenge streamers.

Just played the witness and Sonic Mania for a bit. played both a few hours each.

witness was nice until I realized all the puzzles are dot mazes...great. good game, but not one I want to spend too much of my limited spare time on.

sonic was pretty magnificent, though I just wasnt in the mood to keep the journey going. I experienced it enough to enjoy the nostalgia and platformer kick

currently playing:

Path of Exile PS4 - Just hit Act 2. now I've got a lot of gripes with its UX, but its certainly scratching that itch for a hack n slash diablo clone adventure. enjoying the loot kick im on right now. I'm pretty overpowered, and nothings too revolutionary so far (neat skill and economy mechanic). but its enough for what I want right now. Dunno how long itll last for me. I may tire of it in a couple weeks though.

Yeah, I still think the pinnacle of the series is Emerald version. One they moved to 3d things started going down.

The first RDR was one of my faves from the last gen, but the sequel felt less like playing and more like work. Mind you, I only played for 5 hours so I gave it another chance. Now that I got past all the story exposition, I works a whole lot better, but I still can't get hooked 100%. So I play smaller Gamepass games in between RDR2 sessions. My favorites so far have been Steamword Dig 2 and Void Bastards.

Went back to the South Park games that I never beat, heard they're not too long and I neeeeeeed to finish some of my games.
I will load up Destiny because of the news and get as much bright dust as I can to prepare for the new changes.

I just bought Detroit and Persona 5 complete, so they will be after South Park.

The sequel feels more like a nonstop tutorial

If one to one and half hour per week counts as playing then I am playing ZOE MARS on my PS4 Pro^^ The Art Style aged quiet well for a 4K Game the gameplay not so much . . . Wished we would have gotten hour ZOE 3 before Kojima was canned.

Spider-man-finally bought the expansion pack during the Days of Play sell. Playing the first DLC currently.

Path of Exile-still in act 1, but enjoying it so far.

Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu!-finishes the game and the little end game stuff I cared to do. Solid 8/10 game.

I have the phantom pain played for a few hours haven't touched it in years.

I’m actually playing them both at the same time - and they’re incredibly similar. Only metal gear solid V came out four years earlier ( obviously one is man versus man while the other is man versus machine )

Plugged in all the DDR stuff (PS2) this weekend and I've been playing that. Whew, I need to be in better shape! I have all the US-released DDR games for PS2, so now I'm trying to go through each of them and unlock the extra songs.

My two older kids are also trying to get better at DDR. They've tried it a few times before but didn't show much interest. Since arcades aren't much of a thing in my area, they are experiencing DDR at home instead. They are terrible but they're getting the hang of it quickly.

I haven't checked my Brain Age in a few days. The Dr. is going to scowl at me, I'm sure.

I achieved two more fresh scores on my DOJWL leaderboard (third place slot, both times). I am getting close to another leap in score, I can feel it. 🤞

I'm still playing Ghost Recon: Wildlands, when difficulty is set to extreme and most of UI is hidden, it's almost different game.

Not sure what to think about upcoming sequel Breakpoint. Map seems smaller and I don't really care about Diablo style looting.

Borderlands 2 - Very fun so far but the tone gets on my nerves after a while

Breath of the Wild - Great except for weapon durability

Dragon Quest XI. I've beat it already few months ago, but now I got back to try get few last trophies needed for platinum.
I was planning to do that as well but Switch version is coming out soon enough so might as well wait for that to come out so I can play it with all the extra features.

!!!!?!??????

How are you able to play that many titles ? Don’t the controllers (button configuration) get confusing switching from one game to another?

No not really. I'm playing a few games by myself and a few games with some friends. I like to switch up what I'm playing because I tend to get bored pretty quickly.

Currently replaying Bloodborne. I ordered the EU GOTY version in order to play the DLC. Haven't gotten to the new stuff yet but I am enjoying the ride.

Seems like the FROM games I have are the only games that actually feel like "games" and are worth replaying. Everything else I have played this gen is either a purposely created time-sink or a narrative experience with crap gameplay.

I just replayed Dark Souls 3 and had a great time, especially because I did so with the unpatched version (thank God for physical copies). The Fume Ultra Greatsword is amazing when it doesn't suck. White Hair Talisman sneak attacks are so much fun. The big spears are actually good (Gargoyle and Dragonslayer).

Thanks to gamepass i got to try some different games. I'm playing astroneer and thumper.

Thumper is a brutal rhythm game with cool music and visuals.

Astroneer is like minecraft in space.

FINALLY a demo for Children of Morta is up on Steam. Y'all should check it out, it's pretty fuckin awesome.

Thanks for pointing this out. This is a lot of fun! Demo got extended through the 24th too.

Reminds me a lot of Hades which I’ve also been enjoying.
