Middle-earth: Shadow of War, Dead Rising 4, Undertale, Blazing Chrome and more coming to Gamepass

Wonder if PC Game Pass will see any of these?

Edit:

I see the error in my ways. My bad. Didn’t look closely enough.

Self-owned.

Yeah that’s my bad. I’ll hold the L on this one.

At least it’s cool knowing I’ll have DR4 and SoW to play on my PC soon. I’m still enjoying Metro: Exodus through Game Pass, even if it’s UWP version and doesn’t have DX11 support (forced DX12 in games causes micro stutters on my setup for some reason) or in-game benchmarking. I’ve heard other titles are proper Win32 versions so it’s all gravy

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
That's some really good games right there. I'm personally going to dig into Portia.

Nice additions. I'm currently subscribed to gamepass on pc as I sold my xbox. It remains the best value in all subscription services imo.

I refused to buy DR4, but I'll definitely check it out now. Never played Undertale either. Looking forward to trying them!

I signed up for Gamepass on PC a couple of weeks ago and have been anxiously awaiting some new additions. These look good. I need to find out more about a few of them, but I'm already interested in trying Dead Rising 4, My Time in Portia, Shadow of War and Blazing Chrome.

Because they got rid of the time mechanic completely which I considered to be the soul of the series. I absolutely loved the groundhog day aspect of the first 2 games where everything was on a relatively strict timer and it would take you multiple runs not only to level up (which affected your run speed) but to figure out the map and to understand where you had to be at a particular time to be able to save everyone and to kill all the psychos.

In 3, the time mechanic was basically neutered and you didn't even have to think about it, but at least some times you would be pushing it. In 4, they completely ripped out the core mechanic I loved and instead decided to double down on what I considered to be fun side quirks such as costumes, vehicles, and unique weapons.

So I voted with my wallet.

Edit: I'm sad that they shut down Capcom Vancouver because I really wanted them to get another crack at the DR series and for them to make it more like 2 (which they made) after DR4 bombed pretty hard. I understand that Capcom still thinks of Dead Rising as a good IP for them so hopefully they go back to what people loved about the first 2 and ignore the people who complained about the timer. Because with 4 they managed to piss off people like me who refused to buy the game and the people who constantly complained about the timer sure as shit didn't buy the game either.

I was going to straight up buy Blazing Chrome when it came out. Now I don’t have to 😁

Now if they can manage to get My Friend Pedro on GP I’ll be ecstatic.

They should have made time optional because some people (like me) prefer to play DR without it.

Problem with that is that certain survivors and Psycho appearances depend on the time mechanic. You couldn't just populate them all at the beginning of the game because there's some overlap in the environments. It would be a cluster. Also, the enemy changes depended on time as well. I suppose they could make some concessions about placement of bosses where you would suddenly have arenas, but that goes to something with 3 I intensely disliked as well. There were no longer set survivors. They were just randomly generated. They weren't named survivors with unique traits, characteristics, or scenarios you would find them in. They would just be standing on top of a car screaming for help.

Days Gone is the real Dead Rising 4.
I'm sure Days Gone is good game but it's NOT replacement for Dead Rising. My problem with the 4th game is they took out everything interesting and unique about DR series and turn it in to another open world zombie game with very crappy humor.

I have no problem with randomly generated content.

DR4 still have massive hordes of zombies to kill with crazy weapons and tools.

In original DR you can almost use anything and everything you find in the mall as weapon and overall timer meant you have think about taking best route to rescue survivors and psychopaths had actual personality and not to mention entire mall had so much detail and fun way to interact with.

The point of Dead Rising weapon system was to use everyday object as weapon against Zombies and not all of them can kill with it, some of them use it to make Zombies slip off.

Me neither in general. I do with the Dead Rising series however.

I think Danjin44 Danjin44 is thinking along the same lines as me where the time mechanic and unique psychos were the draw. The first two games always had fun ways to kill zombies if you were so inclined. Honestly with the first 2 games, I spent my time figuring out how to avoid them to get to my next mission which was on a strict clock.

NICE, just getting into Shadow of The Tomb Raider. I'll try to finish it quick to get to Shadow of War.

I got bored about halfway through with Shadow of War but it was fun while it lasted. It's a good game to have on Gamepass aside from the colossal install size (100+GB)

I have to say that they may be one to something here. Just finished Rise of the Tomb Raider. I enjoyed it so much that I bought the DLC!

I would reframe the title if you can, I know this game was being added today but I read this as basically the game was added and then dropped from GamePass rather than it dropped on GamePass.

Anyone find Undertale yet? I checked store and nothing..

Do they list games that are leaving the service anywhere? Not trying to troll just wondering if they give advance notice before pulling games.

they'll have a tab if games are scheduled to leave. no tab means no games are leaving currently. they usually give you a month i think.

mods have to do that. i would change dropped to released.

strange the game is out on PS4 not sure why it wont get a xbox release..
Because its likely one of those indie games that likely failed the idxbox process because it came first on pc, then ps4 (and eventually switch) and refused to give xbox exclusive content to make up for it.

I paid good money for this Dynex!
Honest question: Is it really that exciting when a game that's 2-3 years old pops up on Game Pass? I'm trying to understand the appeal.

I thought when you said "dropped" you meant it was there but left the service. That does happen.

Blazing Chrome is where it's at this month, although I have been wanting to play Lego City Undercover.
