He's trying to point out that there exist some key differences between men and women (between transgender male-->female and females too) that make your line of reasoning illegitimate. However he's using too broad an example. Calling him an incel won't make that go away. For example the cerebellum is heavily influenced during puberty and even a few years before. It is greatly enlarged in men (20-30% more dense), think of it as a relatively simple but massively parallel processing center. There are few (1-2 million) inputs that branch into billions of pathways then come out of just a few (1-2 million) outputs again. Like a graphics processing unit or gpu. It gives men and XY women (trannies) a major edge in not just decision making speed but physical/motor speed. Ditto in competitive gaming.

This is how it is with females in competitive gaming, girls form teams based upon sex, they seek it out and none of them ever go very far, because as I said it's tribalism over effectiveness. They all band together instead of trying to form a team based upon meta knowledge, chemistry and mechanical competency. They instinctively handicap themselves and limit their potential.

Guy's seek out the aforementioned in the people they play with, it doesn't matter if it's a guy or girl. Girls rarely fit the role though as they are either bonded together with other girls or they're spread so thin there's no one in the pool to draw from. They can sometimes fill the void but there's a natural reaction time disadvantage with the average female as opposed to even poor reacting males so they are generally not up to snuff.

All of these old arcade genres -- rhythm games, shmups, fighters, vs puzzle, and any obscure stuff -- have a very difficult time finding an audience among young players. This sounds like it escalated beyond the normal ribbing, joking, trash-talking, and hype of the genre.

But good on them for chasing someone out of their scene. That'll really help others feel welcome. Doesn't matter if she's "thin skinned" because most kids are thin skinned. Try a better method of bringing them into the fold.

The Melee community I think is the one with older folks, the New Smash game community is usually younger from what I can tell. Some of the top players at the end of Smash 4's life were 17 year olds from what I remember.

The competitive Smash community isn't really Nintendo's community. They serve the broader casual base, and none of this happened on their channels, forums, or games.
