I just got banned from ResetEra (for 11 days) for a comment about a topic about a judge in the USA that ruled horribly in the favour of a boy who raped a girl:

MY FIRST COMMENT ON THE TOPIC:
You know in South Africa, in the townships where most africans live, the community hunt you down and cut off your penis if you have been found to have raped someone.
Often times the police are powerless to do anything because the community crowds can turn on the cops.
I also heard in some middle eastern countries (and i'm not sure if this still happens) but they cut off your hands if you are caught stealing.
I don't condone any of the above but can understand why people take such drastic measures. To send a message to others who even think of rape or theft.
What message is America sending its people with rulings like this?

My brother in law and cousins are cops and have to deal with seeing horrific acts like these ecery damn day. I did not encourage mob justice in my initial post. GTFO with that.
This is why I try to refrain from posting in thse threads because you always have some people to be assholes and try to question your posts.

English is not really my home language but the reason for my post was what happens when the justice system fails the people like it has been doing for years in South Africa. Hence the community exacting mob justice to rapists and other perperatrators. I even explicitly said in my post that i don't condone mob justice but fully understand when people do these things, probably out of frustration that justice is not served to criminals. You can see that towards the end of my response to that user that i got upset because this happens frequently on ResetEra. If you say anything that is not in a certain way, then you get jumped on by fellow users and eventually get banned because 1) you lash out at the users or 2) the mod just bans you without you getting a chance to better explain your post.
This god damn post gets me an 11 day ban. I am fully done with that trash forum. I got even got banned once for saying Michelle Obama was hot for her age.
I am fully now commiting time to NeoGaf. I hope that here my opinions and views are not surpressed as i would like to share my thoughts and feelings with all gamers on various topics.
I don't condone violence in any capacity towards any individuals and i hope that i can form lasting friendships here with fellow gamers who enjoy this hobby that i love.

Before this incident yesterday I asked the mods to remove my account from ResetEra forums after I was banned for saying Michelle Obama looks hot for her age. My account however was not removed and I thought i would give it one more chance and this honestly is the last straw.Welcome.

The reason for my ban from that place is 'rationalizing violence' when I explicitly stated in my post that i don't condone violence against people.
If my post about this gets me banned there permanently then good, that is what i want. To not be associated with that forum in any way shape or form.
I look forward to discussing many things here with you guys.

So I talk to terrisus fairly regularly. Don't know how much of the history was lost over time but apparently he requested his account be deleted after a nonsensical ban. He said he left a goodbye message that was also deleted by one of the mods at the time. I didn't really know the guy at that point and don't remember much from that era (no pun intended).
Now would he come back if he was allowed/welcomed back? No idea. Can confirm however that he's alive and well and still correcting spelling and grammar like a champ.
