Are they stupid? I wanted one but removing the TV capability is a no go. I am sure it still has the USB-C connector so maybe modders can reanable it but sorry. This is just stupid . . . in my opinion. I know they are after the kids but don't remove the best feature!

Motherfucker .. I just bought a switch yesterday

Solely to play Pokekon

I'd imagine you can probably take it back. Feel for you man.

About time Nintendo announced this! Just waking up.

Anyone have specs yet? Is it "more powerful" as speculated than the OG Switch?

The Switch no longer "switches".

Also, what's all that about looking on the box to see if a game supports handheld mode? Do some games not support handheld mode?
Mario Party requires joycons not plugged into it to work. I like the colors there is no excuse for the Switch to only be black in the future. Also I really hope they fixed the battery on this thing.

Very few, Super Mario Party is the only one I can think of. Basically, any game that absolutely requires the use of Joycons being separated.

While this is cool and that price is sweet, I'd rather stick to the original. No gyro controls for some games was a turn off for me.

It's the version that I've been waiting for. I'm not sold yet though, right now I'm only interested in Link's Awakening and the new Pokémon which seems to be in trouble. Not sure if it's worth the money, maybe better to use them for PS5.

The front is ugly lmao

Who wouldn't guess why they made a handheld only version for lol
They couldn't even go for transparent buttons like the vita. Those white buttons are gonna yellow so fast.

I think it's an extremely dumb decision to make it nor TV play compatible through a connection cable or something.

how hard would that have been to accomplish?
It was called a Switch because you could switch between tv and portable. So ???

After playing Cuphead I was thinking of buying a Switch but all the rumours of new models has made me decide to wait and see what happens. I wouldn't buy this one because it can't be used on a TV so hopefully they'll announce the pro version soon

This thing launched solely for reaching that multiple switches at home" goal, and I assume the original Switch probably gonna have some price cut too. Need to know all the specs especially battery life. A good gift for kids for this holiday imo.

Did people honestly believe they wouldn't remove the connect-to-TV feature in their cheap model? Come on. It was so obvious.

Why would anyone ever buy the original again when they could get a Switch Lite, with better hardware, TV connection, an official Pro Controller and still save $30...? You telling me they'd want that shitty plastic dock? "HD Rumble"?

OK if the Dock alone is $90, you're already at $210, I'd like to think that removing all over features removed here would result in a price drop greater than $10.01
At $150 this would be perfect.

That said I was going to spend $200 to replace my sons tablet since he busted the screen and this may be a better alternative.

Internally, the Switch Lite is largely the same as its older counterpart, with 32GB of storage space and a MicroSD card slot to add more capacity. However, it uses a more efficient processor, according to Nintendo. This, in turn, means its battery life is roughly 20%-30% better. The heat vents at the top of the hardware are also smaller, which enables the overall reduction in the hardware's size.

Still looks uncomfortable and remember how XC2 runs on portable mode?

They should have used this still on "triggers" instead
