Today, during an Xbox Showcase livestream from London, Playground Games Creative Director Ralph Fulton talked about the future of the studio, also in relation to innovations like Project Scarlett and xCloud.

Asked how he feels about working on consoles like Xbox One X and the upcoming next-generation hardware codenamed Project Scarlett, Fulton explained that it’s a thrilling experience, but it also comes with pressure.
“It’s an enormously thrilling experience for the development team, really being at the start of something which is clearly going to change the way that games are consumed, but it also comes with a lot of pressure. You have to think about where you’re going to make your investment, and you have to think about all players, not just the players who have moved to the top spec console.”

He also had a comment for the upcoming cloud gaming initiative codenamed Project xCloud.
“What really excited me about it was that vision of enabling people to play the games they want wherever they want. […] I can totally see what an exciting future that is. It’s something that we at Playground look forward to be part of.”

Speaking about the future, Fulton mentioned that the studio will continue to support Forza Horizon 4, and at the same time they will continue to grow the team, and collectively work on “the project which is as yet undisclosed, as yet top secret.”

Im really thinking they will reveal this project at X019, since it will be in England. Would be cool if all the british teams had something to show there.

Nah, I think we're looking at a Scarlet launch title, or maybe reveal next year for the following year. Trying to think what's a better launch lineup, you don't want to stack the first year to much but a bunch of mega titles could really be ready for launch year considering where the development cycles are for Forza, Halo, Fable.

I think Microsoft might be telling them take your time but, we wont be showing this until its 100% right to show and ready to drop within 12 months after reveal. No more crackdown situations.

but Phil said they want to show something this year, they don't want another X018 situation. So maybe Ninja Theory's other project from the Hellblade team? Even if they show Fable, they don't need to launch next year.

They'll show something, not Fable but. It would be considered one of their big 4 when it comes back they'll save it. Hellblade I could see, they had several titles in development apparently, maybe the single player one to appease the crowd?

Just because the generation is changing I don't expect the usage rate of Forza to go down, can you imagine Microsoft without Forza? They'd be out of the console business.
Have to strongly disagree with this.

No one game is critical to a consoles success. MS can be without Gears, Forza etc and Sony can be without Uncharted and Gran Turismo and their business will not be affected in the slightest.
