Ninja Gaiden Black.

Beautiful graphics and effects in silky smooth 60fps.

I’d argue it was the most accomplished technical game in its era.
Ninja gaiden looks detailed polygon wise (especially character models) but without shadow buffers, normal maps and shaders on textures it looks like a game that could be made on GC or even PS2. It looks like game made for PS2 from the start and later on ported to xbox, because even water is not using shaders, while pretty much all other xbox exclusive games used shaders at least on water surface.

GerAlt-Right. Ciriously.
Splinter Cell CT and Chronicles of Riddick.

IMO, nothing else comes remotely close.

I know a lot of you are mentioning Doom 3, but the xbox version was soo drastically downgraded from the PC that it's hard for me to include it.

Splinter cell 3 and Riddick looks better on PC too, xbox version is pretty much low settings equivalent. Splinter cell 3 on PC has shader model 3 features, higher resolution shadows and much improved textures, the same with Riddick. Doom 3 on xbox has a little bit rebuilded levels, but other than that compromises are similar like in these two games (what's more doom 3 has no dynamic resolution scaling unlike Riddick)

Can you guess during first second witch screenshot is xbox version and witch is PC maxed out? Personally I cant, I have to look for subtle details in order to tell a difference and that's how doom 3 on xbox looks for the most part. IMO Doom 3 on xbox was very good port and it looked even better on CRT, becsuse on CRT low quality textures and low poly objects imperfections are masked very well, while on PC low poly objects and textures just hits you in the face.

And here's Splinter Cell 3 PS2 vs Xbox, I can tell a difference immediately without looking for suble details. According to you doom 3 looks drastically different on xbox, so what word you will use to describe difference between PS2 and xbox port of splinter cell 3?

Riddick: Amazing textures, lighting, and shadows. Shit animation.

Chaos Theory: Amazing animation, lighting, and shadows. Decent textures.

I choose CT.

List is pretty good with a wide variety. I'd throw in that Otogi was one of the best looking games on the system. Maybe not best, but better than a good majority of the ones on the list. But it's a toss up between Chaos Theory, Doom 3 and Chronicles of Riddick.

1. Rallisport Challenge 2. It looked great and had the flawless fluidity of an arcade machine.
2. Morrowind. Because it's the full Elder Scrolls experience. In 64MB of RAM.

OG Fable should be up there
Fable had a few things going on behind the sciences that I wished more games had adapted, like that your character gets scars every time they die.

It was a small thing for me until I watched a friend play and his character looked like an emo kid with a razor compared to mine.

I have voted for some early titles: Halo and Dead or Alive 3. Those were just two of the games that made me want to get the system. As a Dreamcast fan, when I bought the system a disc with SEGA GT 2002/Jet Set Radio Future was included, so I couldn't be happier!
