Tifa Lockhart removed from YouTube Auto complete function

Well this is something new. Looks like Tifa got censored on YouTube. If you try to find specific characters, or topic on YouTube you normally get a auto complete function which helps you with your search. This also works for every FFVII Character EXCEPT Tifa. The moment you Type in "Tifa L" you will not get ANY results anymore. Even with "FFVII And TI" it does not work anymore. Guess her Boob controversy was too much for YouTube and the people need to be protected from boobs discussions.

Stuff like ISIS totally works. So Tifa Lockhart is now on the same level as Hitler which also does not auto complete.

And before someone asks. Google Auto complete works still fine with Tifa.

To show how popular Tifa is.

If you can still search for something on their search bar it isn't actually censorship.
It give you less exposure. For marketing it is the worst case scenario. Hell on Google type in Tifa and it is the top Result. This is only the case on YouTube directly. And I would call this censorship if people want to hinder you to know that this character exists.

Is there even a gamer that isn't 12 that doesn't know who Tifa is?

What kind of excuse is this? You think it is Ok? Especially when you can search for topics like ISIS massacre etc? I know 2 words so far that does this. One is Hitler and the other one is Tifa
Calm down Dunki. I was merely stating your comparison is really out there.

This is not google. It is YouTube. Google Search and auto complete for Tifa works like a charm

Oh I'm sorry, I did not realize that YouTube will not be fully integrated into Stadia with the social connectivity.

It is all a part of the same conglomerate.

I still point and laugh at Stadia.

This could be some kind of wayward algorithm at work.

For instance, any search term that is likely to bring up a ton of semi-pornographic content will generally not auto-complete; it could be that so many lewd-ish "Tifa's assets" videos started popping up that it got automatically flagged, somewhat by mistake.

No that I approve of this but you can still search for Tifa and 9 out of 10 results will be Tifa videos.
Are there really that many people going "I'll search for Tiffanny on youtube...wait Tifa Lockhart what's THAT? HOLY SHIT!!!"

To bring more imprtance to it

Lock at this

Isn't this a fairly standard and expected result?
Tifa sees a small spike in interest prior to E3 as there's anticipation that she will be shown, and then a big one as she gets her revealed and every big gaming site, community and youtuber talks about it. Then, once everyone has seen the reveal, talked about it and moved on to something else the interest starts normalizing and going back to its standard value?. If you look at the 2018 part of the graph, interest in her tends to be on par if not slightly below Cloud and Sephiroth

Is this only because she's busty?

It sounds like this is not only Google's doing. I'd imagine you could look up other sources of large breasts and get an autocomplete to help you along your way.

It kinda makes sense that Sony could have some hand in this, given the whole censorship thing...though I don't see how this would happen.

Overall, it just feels...petty.

Aren't basically all searches on google or youtube controlled in some way? i remember reading some stuff about how their searches are not just about finding the best matches to what you want or might want but they also follow some editorial parameters set by google, somehow along the way google decided that they should behave like a publisher.

Strange.
It seems to me another one of those "fake protections" promoted by Google and YouTube, for random reasons.

An unusual thing.
But not so much as to bother me at least.
(since you can still search Tifa on YouTube quietly)
[with the difference that YouTube does not suggest its name, for no reason]

Guys! Guys! I think I get it. It's obiously Square that asked Youtube to remove all imagery of Tifa, so people would forget how good (and busty!) her character really was, so to quell the controversy on her new horrible character design.

You have to be a little creative:

It'll generally refuse to help you with any breast-related term; and "huge..." is right out, which I find funny.

To be fair tho:

She kinda looks bustier than in Advent Children which is the only real comparison to make with how "real" the characters look now.

Could be at Square’s request. When Conan O’Brien reviewed the newest FF game they cut out all his pervy remarks. I don’t think they liked all those remarks in his Tomb Raider review.

they recently released a dissidia trailer for Tifa i doubt this is Sque Enix at all. hey will lose so much exposure

Google is infested with ideologues. Scary shit.

Yup reminds me of when ACG mentioned in pod cast that he could not get monetised for the longest time even though he met all the criteria, sub count etc., and it was all because someone at Youtube just didn't like him.
