Grandia HD Collection will launch for Switch via the Nintendo eShop on August 16, publisher GungHo Online Entertainment America announced. Grandia HD Remaster for PC will follow at a later date, while the already available Grandia II Anniversary Edition will be renamed to Grandia II HD Remaster.

Hope it's not too long of a wait for the PC version, I've been looking forward to it since they made the Grandia 2 remaster. Both are great games!

I paid good money for this Dynex!
Cool -- was worried this one disappeared into the ether again. Waiting for the PC version, because I absolutely don't trust the Switch port, but I'm excited. I never did play Grandia 1 past the first town.

I'm really interested in this but need some more info before buying...I still have my copy of Grandia II for the Dreamcast...love that game!!!

I have never played Grandia, so I'm interested in this. I just don't have time to begin a new JRPG in the midst of all the other games.

It's good but it takes a while for the real story to kick off, the first few hours can be really boring, it picks up though and the battle system is really good.

For what it's worth, I heard the English VA for Grandia's main character say "The spiirritt sword" like 2 minutes into the game and turned it off. Do not want.

So, not being subjected to that should make the opening more palatable.

I think you can change to Japanese VA, it was an option in the E3 demo.

they get you excited first, then they bring the bad news . I'm guessing $29.99.

That's bad news? That's a great price for 2 games with a very decent effort going into the remaster.

Collection Of Mana was $39.99 for ROMs. My guess is 40-50 bucks, and go on the Wish List for a good long while.

Grandia 1 is one of the best psx rpgs. It conveys going on an adventure better, than most other rpgs of that time period. Battle system is top-notch and the characters are charming as all hell. Still own a physical copy, but tempted to double dip.

Other fun thoughts: Remember when GungHo released Grandia II on PC and was like "hey guys, we want your feedback; what would you like to see us bring back next?" That was 2015. 4 years gosh darn years ago.

So, I'm guessing we can expect Lunar sometime around 2056.

Is Grandia good?

I loved Grandia II on Dreamcast and still have my copy, but like many JRPGs it has the kind of story and presentation I could only appreciate as a teenager.

It still has my favorite battle system of all time though.

If that's the kind of response they give when asked about the price, I'm expecting it to be overpriced.

The reddest of red flags. $40 minimum, outside shot at $50.

If the price was going to be attractive, it would’ve been announced already. Keeping it veiled in secrecy is not a move that inspires confidence.

No physical = no buy. Then again I'd probably only buy it if it were on ps4. Aside from Mario, zelda, etc I dont touch my switch.

No physical no buy. Both games probably don't even equal 8gb. So it can be put on a 8gb card.

Stop being cheap. You could do physical for the $39.99 you are charging.

I have no issue with $40. For a couple of significantly spruced-up ports of RPGs, that seems fair. That said, I'm going to to buy it until it's out on GOG, so I guess I'm kinda petty, too.

Its impossible to justify this. I paid 5.99 CAD for grandia 1 on ps3/vita years ago and I could easily buy grandia 2 on pc for dirt cheap. Man you if you buy this you're part of the problem.

The fact that they held the price until the eleventh hour shows that they really don't respect the suckers who are buying this.
