Speaking of JoJo what did you guys think of the Stone Ocean arc? The ending was twist that I never expected.
Steel Ball Run any better or worse?

My least favorite arc. Messy stand battles, very few interesting characters and the twist at the end feels awful. Whataburger mentioned this a few pages ago but Pucci just feels like he has plot armor 90% of the time.
Steel Ball Run any better or worse?
Wildly regarded as the best part, I think. At least in the West.

I haven't read Stone Ocean but I know how it ends, that conclusion is very unique to say the least.

Steel Ball Run is top tier JoJo, I had an absolute blast reading it, seeing it animated in 3-4 years is going to be nuts.

It was mediocre. Weather deserved better. SBR shits all over it.

Man, Ufotable went all out with episode 19 of Kimetsu no Yaiba.
I really hope they continue working on this and don't pull a OPM season 2

I've hard sort of an Anime revival lately. First it started Evangelion because I wanted to check it out on Netflix, then I watched Kill la Kill, then Death Note, and now Im thinking of watching Black Lagoon again.

Ufotable's work is always so solid then they go nuts when it calls for it. They're probably my favorite studio right now because of how good they are at adapting things.

Vinland Saga anime is pretty nice so far.

I can't wait until the time skip though, Adult Thorfin is such a good character, teenage/edgelord Thorfin starts to grate me after a while

Reporter Blues is so good. Kenji Kodama and Akio Sugino + Italian - Japanese co-production makes for a really unique series. I admire how many different scenes, settings and camera angles they use in every episode. I felt it was longer than 20 minutes. Very rich production values covering many aspects of that era (interwar Paris). Plot is relatively simple but very enjoyable. Filippo is one of the best anime cats too.

Why don’t you watch new anime’s? There’re plenty of good ones

Speaking of Ufotable, how is God Eater? It's one of their few shows I haven't watched.

As much as I like Vinland Saga

Thorfin is kinda the worst character. Teen Thorfin is too angry and edgy but then adult Thorfin goes too much into the oposite direction and is good and anti violence to a fault. Ultimately I vastly prefer the first part though as the supporting cast was much better.

Fair point, but I vastly prefer good guy Thorfin over edgelord, best character is probably Askeladd though.

I love all the dark shit below the surface of HxH. Every character that seems nice or normal on the surface are monsters, and most of the assholes or primates face irredeemable villains are really decent people who were shaped by their environment.

I hope the later parts get animes, because I not going to suffer through Togashi's increasingly chicken scratch "drawings" to keep up with it.

At least Miura stays consistently good at art. Togashi generates a bunch of scribbles a couple times a year.

Regarding HxH I only watched the anime and it’s basically over after the chimera ant arc (which by the way blew my mind) the manga is still going right? Does anyone know which chapter of the manga is basically the last episode of the anime? I’d love to see how it continues but not sure which chapter the chimera ant arc ends in the manga.

The manga is indeed still going though it has an uneven release schedule since it's constantly going on hiatus. If I'm not mistaken I think there haven't been any new chapters this year

According to a quick google search if you have watched the entire anime you should pick up the manga at around chapter 338.

Yeah I read somewhere that it’s constantly in hiatus. Like berserk.

Thank you I will. Is it still as good as the chimera ant arc? Or is there a drop in quality?

I'm still anxiously awaiting the dub of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. I heard it was coming to Toonami, so I hope to see it soon. The hype it's getting right now has me intrigued.

It's different.

I don't want to spoil much but in the new arc (at least so far) Gon and Killua aren't around and the focus is shifted to another existing character (Kurapika). It's also way more dialog heavy, with encounters being more in the style of battles of wits and political intrigue than straight up fighting, so there's plenty of chapters which are mostly just characters standing around with walls of text to go along with it, lots of "but if he knows that I know that he knows that I know then what I should say right now is...".

But is still really enjoyable if you are into that sort of thing, and as usual it has a great cast of characters with unique abilities

I'm fine with either version usually, but I'll usually watch it dubbed as I just find I get more emotionally connected with the characters and jokes work better if I can just straight up hear what they're saying instead of having to read it.

Live-action dubs on the other hand, no just no. Always will watch the original version if it's available.

I do love how I had a co-worker who refused to give dubbed anime a chance ever.......and then Black Clover came out and he was all, "well fuck, guess I'm breaking my rule, I can't stand that goddamn scream for one second longer".

Why would you watch a even worse Naruto?

Rhetorical question desu

Then you shouldn't have included the "you" in it, sounded nothing like rhetorical to me.

Also, for the record, the Japanese directors of Cowboy Bebop and FLCL loved the English dubs for their respective shows. Just FYI in case the thread starts devolving into anyone claiming dubs are always inferior to be some "fact" or bullshit like that.
