Bloody Gunners. Give away a cheap goal right before half time.

Ceballos goes ok though.

Weakest link in this team is the young English footballers. Willock, Nelson and Maitland-Niles.

Lost count how many chances messed up because of their first touch or bad decisions. Not on the same level as team mates.

Hard truth.

With the height I was meaning Gomes, not Greenwood but yeh with what Gomes can do with the ball at his feat it's less of a concern that he's pretty small. Greenwood being able to use both feet pretty much equally is going to make him a real handful for defenders and he's such a natural finisher too. I'm trying not to get too excited about his potential but I could see him making that right wing spot his at some point in the season since there's not a clear cut starter for it.

It's also great that there now seems to be a regular starting back 4 in Wan Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire and Shaw. Tuanzebe being on the bench over Jones and Smalling is a positive sign too. I don't hate Jones and Smalling as much as others seem to but United have been relying on them for too long. Tuanzebe looked really solid in pre-season so I'm glad to see he's being given more chances at the club and not just sent out on loan again.

Obviously still a while off from properly challenging for the title again but there's positive signs there.

Oh sorry I was referring to Gomes about the height thing! Forgot to put his name in my post. There are so many good small players in the league now. Hopefully Gomes will have every chance, I don’t think he would have had a look-in under Mourinho.

It seems like the players mentality has improved over the summer, it was great to see the team so together after scoring. If that team spirit lasts I’ll be really happy this season. And if the last team selection hints at Ole having his preferred squad I have to say I’m happy with that too. I don’t feel Ole has been backed like the last few previous new managers but you can definitely see that he is forcing some of his own decisions. On the first day Ole was announced as caretaker manager, I was excited. But mostly just because Mourinho was leaving. Now I’m excited to see the games again!

City are a strange team. So mechanical, so good with the pressing and stifling but their attacking play is so lifeless and dull albeit productive. Also r/soccer is great for quick clips of goals.

Fuck this! The PL is gonna use VAR to give the title to Liverpool this year, what a joke.

:messenger_tears_of_joy::messenger_tears_of_joy:

So accidental handball, ball to hand, is now a foul?
I saw tons of games where the ball strikes the hand but no penalty.
Strange laws.

The rule has changed this season to stop the ambiguity. Any hand touching the ball in the area is a penalty (intentional or not, close or far etc.). It's fun for me now, but I do dread the point in the season when it's going to go against us.

Bit tricky but mostly this isn’t a foul innit? Head down he doesn’t see the ball but the arms were way off the body so could’ve been a foul too

The arm was off because somebody was pulling it beforehand. Whatever, I don’t have to waste my weekend mornings watching this shit again.

Its alright mate. Stuff like this happens all time in football and it isn't even more frustrating than diving. Cheer up, the league got a long way to go

Even as a United fan... That Man City decision stunk. There needs to be leniency for things that are ACCIDENTAL. Jeez.

Did Pogba really take the penalty from Rashford or my mates are exaggerating?

Nah, think they had a discussion. Rashford took the last one so let Pogba have it. Both of them are the 'main' penalty takers. Would probably be better for Ole to have a named individual though.

From the brief clip I saw on the news tonight, it was a decent penalty kick, but the keeper made a great save.

Solskjaer has said they are both the designated penalty takers. They had a bit of a discussion but it wasn’t really an argument or anything. I’d prefer they just have one designated person though and a backup if they aren’t on the pitch. If you have two that are both it then they’re always going to both want to take it and it’s going to cause tension.

Playing Liverpool today. Worried and not worried at the same time

Worried because our defensive side needs lot of work and now worried because we got a lethal offensive side

COME ON YOU GUNNERS!

DIdn't know you were an Arse?

Will be an interesting game. Southampton showed how to put us under pressure but I don't really class you lot as a pressing side. Firmino is firing blanks at the moment and Salah just isn't getting the rub of the green. If you can keep Mane quiet you have a chance. Trent also looked off form aaginst Southampton and had a torrid time when pressed - if Monreal pushes I think he might give us a problem. I think this game though will be decided on who can score from outside the box.

Hey! You’re an arse😒

Yeah I agree on that! Both teams are still off a bit but again, football is damn unpredictable. It’s going to be a good game

Didn't expect Villa to defeat them either to be honest....

No, me either, but when you can't score the best you can hope for is a draw anyway. We'll see if things can be turned around, but I'm a bit pessimistic honestly. Think it's going to be a very tough year - maybe the toughest in a long time. Maybe the toughest since 03-04.
