Not going to lie, after her last video can't help but think that this is someone pandering. Yet I also can help but feel wrong for even thinking that. Sadly the way the world is now people pick and choose when that stuff matters and do so to forward their agenda. In this instance it shouldn't matter but if the character was perpetrated some way they didn't approve then it would be the ultimate of importance.
When I was growing up it seems like they were trying to remove labels but it seems like we're regressing as a society. Now that people have found a lucrative use for them.

T. Swift might be pandering... I don't know. But she has used black people as props in her videos before. She likely has very few, if any, black friends. Shake it off and now this... She's trying to grow her fanbase and this isn't how you do it.
If she REALLY wanted to grow her base, she should be around Asians, blacks, Latinos, etc in her photos, IG stories, hanging at awards shows, etc. Give shout outs to her friends and show her with them and that they're whatever color they can be.
But she won't. It's like that token black friend that you bring around once in a blue moon until they kill themselves or write a memoir.

I don't like this continuous pandering, this virtue signaling of "how progressive you are". Look, I like black women as well, and I was in a relationship with two, but this nonsense is just so easy to look through. This is saying: look, THIS is how things should be. Progressive politics is always in a fight with itself, as it's based on contradictions. Always talking about inclusion, while exclusivity is the name of the game.

This video I'm indifferent to it. Do i think Media pushes that perfect world , were all accepting of one another yeah. It's media trying to sale a dream, music is like that as well.
Yeah interracial relationship is just one thing that they push among other things. The question is, is watching these commercials doing enough to a person to influence them , i highly doubt it.
I'm not saying that they aren't trying to push this or pander. But i doubt it's having any REAL effect on any average person who already has there personal preferences set. The only way i see preferences changing is if that person is thrust in a situation where there personal interest or lack of maybe challenged. But that happens with everything.

Also... You can't force someone to like a person they aren't attracted to. Tons of white women aren't into black men (the vast majority aren't into us), a lot of white men aren't into Latina chicks, a lot of Asian women aren't into white men... You can't pander enough to make me want to marry a white woman, either.
The music videos (some of them) are trying to show "hey,I don't see color" ... Yet... Lemme get off this post... I'm getting ticked off

C’mon dude, men are in to attractive women, and women are in to attractive men. I put a super attractive person of any race/gender and the vast majority of people will smash, that goes double if they are financially secure. The only people that don’t have specific fetishized interests or they are making a political statement.

You put a hot girl in front of me regardless of race and i'm plowing her.
Now some groups of women i may have a higher preference for than others. but all in all if that hot women fits what im looking for in that point of time. Im going after her.

Agreed. I just can't get with the politics. Even though I like talking about it. I get that you can't always get away from it but ... It gets exhausting when everything is a left or right issue.
And I hate pandering and tokenism.
I see a lot of attractive women of all colors, but my preference is black women.

LOL! I'm not angry at all. I just don't agree with some people here that don't like "that guy" being picked for the lead male role. I don't think it's a problem at all. Like zero percentage of an issue. Especially now that it's been found out that he's one of her dancers. For all, we know he's already had sex with Taylor Swift by now anyway.

I don't "think" it's pandering or marketing manipulation at all! There are ZERO signs that point to that. Plus like you said, this is NOT how you get black and/or brown people to be interested in your music. Like if anyone on her team thought that, they should be FIRED immediately.
If she wants to grow her fanbase, all she has to do is update her sound. Do what Myle Cryus did and get with black music producers and writers. If her songs can get on so-called "black" radio, then she can grow the fanbase.
