Days Gone [OT] Days Gone B Gud

No you can't. Some weapons droped by A.I can't be stored. In the early games you can just count with your pistol, melee attacks or weapons by enemies with can't be stored.
You need to advance to the next camp for buy weapons and those weapons yes you can store, but we're here talking about Copeland camp.

Sigh... again people keep telling this over, over and over again. I even surprised if someone really play the game or saw the story. You know the Deacon beat hordes before the initial plot don't you? He have being doing this for survive as much he can. Don't make much sense, aside from the 'bike' problem in the early of the game. As you can see, its easy beat hordes with a handgun.

Don't get me wrong, Days Gone is one of my favorite games this year, but some arguments really don't make much sense for someone like me with spend so much time in this game. If Copeland can't sell guys at least give you the option to store the weapons you get from the other bikers.

Btw, you reach the Hot Springs Camp more early than Lost Lake just by making the story mission.

Copeland's is not the only camp you have initial access to. Lets not forget that the prologue where Boozer gets his arm torched by the rippers takes place at Crazy Willie's in Belknap, which is basically Hot Springs territory.

Copeland's is the smallest camp in the game and basically is a tutorial device to teach the player the way camp economies work and to drive home the importance of your bike as a survival tool. It also matches the fiction that the camp with the biggest fixation on the right to bear arms, is the only one that doesn't sell them to anyone.

Bottom line though, the restriction is mainly to give incentive to the player to visit Tuck and co at the Hot Springs, which fleshes out the grim and hopeless nature of the world Deke and Boozer find themselves in at the start of the story.

This game is longer than I expected, can someone let me know where I'm at in the story?

I just finished the part with Sarah at the community college.

i'm not as far as you are, but I would suspect that you are getting towards the end. I'm enjoying the game a lot outside of a few bugs I've encountered.

I'm at
the camp where Sarah has been working with the militia. I thought there would have been more to their reunion unless its still to come.

Not so far.

I expect better to be honest. Anw, I try finish the fast I could because
The militia territory its a lag showcase party. Wish Bend adress that, but by the reddit post not anytime soon. You and your buddy are close to the end.
Funny fact: Most of those scenes are actually removed or adjust to fit the 'one ending' scenario. This game is suppose to have many endings, but was removed. As you can see, the militia arc its not the most solid part of the story.

Started playing recently and cleared my first horde today. Took my time. Picked out the stragglers first one by one. Then used Molotovs and fuel tanks while hiding in the bushes. There were some really tense moments. What an amazing experience it was.
The game looks downright gorgeous and has great atmosphere. Now the gameplay is growing on me too. One of the best game experiences in quite some time for me.

latest patch adds gyro aiming:

Played plenty of FPS's in Dreams with this. No idea why more shooters don't have gyro aiming, it's really precise, like mouse precise. it's just more limited in movement than a mouse you it's more for fine aiming than full control.

Finally got around to trying this as my mate lent me her copy. Just about finishing up around the third camp and this game seems pretty damn solid so far?

Looks remarkable on the Pro with HDR also. Absolutely beautiful.

Anyone else think Deacon is an selfish asshole and has a somewhat simple mind? This has to be the most unlikable protagonist I got to play with.
But I finished the game because I liked the gameplay and the graphics were beautiful.

I don’t think selfish is the right word but he is certainly angry at the world. I liked how he acted that way to blow off steam.

It’s realistic in how lonely he is.

Love him personally. Really don't see what's not to like about him, he's just the classic "lone-wolf" outsider.
He's not looking to be anyone's savior or any kind of hero, just to take care of his own and survive in a dog-eat-dog world.

Every time i log into my PS4 there's a +10gb patch. What the hell are they doing to this game?

Yeah while i appreciate the support, the size of the patches is too much. This game mustve downloaded like 100GB in patches alone. Not everyone is on an unlimited connection man.

Thread bump. Sorry.

Just got this. Love it!

I can’t believe I went almost 5 months avoiding this game because of the negative reviews !!!

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with it. And it’s fun as fuck.

If Red Dead Redemption 2, and Horizon Zero Dawn and The Last of Us all got great reviews then this should be getting the exact same score because it’s a culmination of all those games! With better graphics.

9.5 out of ten

Next time watch some gameplay, read some feedback from people you trust and trust your own guts and not what a wannabe journalist tells you, reviews these days are only usefull if you forget to buy toilette paper and you have a printer at home.

A byproduct of highly reactive free radical biochemicals produced through cell respiration interacting with free-floating lipids and proteins. These excited molecules interact with fluorophores, which can emit a photon. Decon uses this to produce a distance, front facing light.

It's all very scientific and accurate and totally not a bizarre overlook by the devs. Don't question it.

Oh trust me, I did

I just assumed it would be one of those open world games like Horizon Zero Dawn and Red Dead where I end up rushing through just to be done with it.

Red Dead felt like a constant tutorial and Horizon got laborious from the repetitiveness.

Days Gone is just really fuckin cool. I was prepping myself to feel the same way about it as Red Dead and Horizon, both of which I finished BUT immediately sold. Man was I wrong

I just reviewed and gave it a 10 on Metacritic in the user section

Its a strange game, and I think different people (with different play styles) will have vastly different experiences with it. Its hard to review, the game is so large and epic in game play and size, not sure what to even compare it to. (I guess Horizon and RDR2) I have no problem recommending DG over either one, but with that said... its hard to review as to me there is some technical and pacing issues. So.... as strange as it seems its probably my second favorite title right after Zelda OOT, but I think I would only rate it a 8.5.

Great fun fucking game with some technical and pacing issues.

Its like a mash up of quite a few games including Rage 1 to me as well.

This has been waiting on my ps4 since release day. The amount of updates they released is crazy. It updated almost weekly since it's release date. I wish I've deleted it and reinstalled once I will get my backlog to it :p

So I started a NG+ run on Survival II and I’m just as sucked in as I was the first time playing. I just love the world, writing and characters so much. And that Focus + Shotgun point blank never gets old.

As for Survival II, it’s really not that bad at all. I thought hunter vision would be permanently disabled, but you can pop it for a few seconds every few seconds to see what plants are around or to make sure you’re on the right path to your destination. Not being able to fast travel is like the only real bummer, but it does make you appreciate the depths Bend went to to make this game undeniably beautiful, plus you get a much better lay of the land if you need to ride everywhere.

Enemies definitely do much higher damage, but with my Deacon fully upgraded and with my advanced arsenal of weapons so early on, I’m such a powerhouse that I don’t even notice. There certainly doesn’t seem like any ammo or supply shortage in this mode. I’ve double checked to make sure I’m on the hardest difficulty a couple times already because I’m so surprised at how doable it is.

This makes me wonder - in 20 years, when I will want to play my old console games as a grandpa.... I whip out my dusty ps4/360 and how the hell do I update my games then

Gyro aim was the best thing to happen to this game. I enjoyed this game a lot. First PS4 game where shooting didn't feel like trash cuz of sticks. Def wanna do New Game+ and I saw they have endless horde/enemy challenges which seems fun as heck.

New Game+ on Survival II difficulty is a blast and totally doable.

That's good to hear. I read ur little comment above mentioning that too. I played on hard my first time and it wasn't too bad. Being able to get way more headshots helped and that one machine type gun is so fun against hordes.

I think I'm gonna try to do all the hordes and nests just for the heck of it then do NewGame+. Plus there's other games to play for now!

Thinking about giving this a try again. Have the updates improved the glitches?
Also, I'd love a first mode like RDR2.

Okay not sure if I'm the only one to experience this but - The Autosave for this game was a bit...aggressive. Be careful with auto-upload to Cloud Saves when it comes to this game.

turns out I had 350+ save files + 7gb worth of saves uploaded to PSN Cloud Saves - which is an issue since I apparently bumped into the 1000 object limit on PSN cloud saves.

While I did have fun with this game, having roughly 1/3rd of my PSN Cloud Save limit dedicated to this game was a bit much.

After playing this for over 35 hours, I've decided I'm done with it. Opinion, with spoilers:

+ I felt the game should've finished when Deek went south (and without finding Sarah alive). It had reached a logical end point here and all the stuff in the south is really just a rehash of what you did in the north.
+ Weirdly, for two people who haven't seen one another for 2 years (and who assumed each other were dead) Deek and Sarah sure didn't seem that happy to be reunited and kept giving each other a hard time.
+ Those fucking birds.
+ If the militia was going to be in it, they should've turned up many hours sooner.
+ MORE fetch quests?
+ Amusingly, I read what happened for the remainder of the game and ... Ha! I made a guess that Sarah somehow created the freakers and was no trying to cure them, and was spot on. BUT I had also guessed that O'Brien was trying to weaponize them and might become some end boss mutant thing. I was almost right.

So, overall it was a good game, but not a great one. 7/10.

Hey guys, this game is currently on sale and I'm tempted to buy it. Is it worth it??

I feel that this will become way cheaper (if not free on PS+ in the next months and the Steam Winter Sale is so near that I'm afraid to buy and not play it...

Is this a must-play or just a ok experience?
