As you say there is loads of written content which isn't ideal as it leads to stop/start gameplay.

No ! i didn't see anything " satanic " or " Illuminati " in the game , unlike Borderlands 3
first patch is out now , installed it last night , the game is much better now specifically in combat ( i have the normal PS4 )

You just need to know that AWE is an abbreviation for "Altered World Events". For those who want to correlate it to Alan Wake: the events at Bright Falls are explicitly referenced and defined as an Altered World Event, and the clicker and/or lake/cabin as Object of Power / Altered Items. The Bureau of Control investigated the events, including interviewing Wake's wife. Wake is assumed to be trapped in another dimension.

I completed Control two nights ago and I can safely say that it was my game of the year by a country mile. I've still got a few side missions left that I need to finish and cant wait to do them.
It's been a long time since a game grabbed me like this one.

Bought this at launch to support Remedy however I could. I knew this game would flop and I could buy it cheaper soon, but I really don't want to see them close.
I only just started playing yesterday. I wasn't super interested at first, but the deeper I get the more I love the world they've built. It feels a little like the TV miniseries "The Lost Room" at times, but with more paranormal shit and a neat conspiracy-laden branch of the government. Can't wait to get deeper.

I've always loved Remedy's games and this doesn't disappoint either. Quite the contrary, it's a breath of fresh air after the streamlined AAA games I tend to play. This game has become one of my all-time favorites, it's awesome and I can't wait for the DLCs. I'm a Twin Peaks fan so this was right up in my alley, it's a very unique game and I recommend it to everyone who wants to experience something new. I also really liked that it has none of this SJW bullshit, no one ever talks about that you play as a "strong woman", Jesse is a likeable character without forcing any bullshit agenda upon us. I also think that their Northlight engine could be one of the best in the industry, but unfortunately the image quality and the framerate issues prevent it being so. Hopefully they will be able to show what this engine is really capable of on nextgen machines. If you like and want to support single-player, story driven games then please buy it, you won't be disappointed.

I really wanna replay this but the fact you can only have one save going sucks balls. The loadout and mods I have are so good and I want those exact ones for all of the DLC

The powers are awesome (the first time you catch the rocket and send it back you feel like a true badass), the enemy variety is nice, destruction is very satisfying (despite tanking performance) and the story is interesting so far. Can't wait to play more.
