Just finished watching. Super funny stuff and it tackles the current day subject matter even more Bluntly than Chappelle did. Way better than his last special, which I felt was probably the worst one he's done.
This one was closer to classic Bill Burr. I wouldn't put it up there with his very best material but it's a great special and like Dave's special it's letting people laugh at the absurdity of our current times in a way they really need to.

As a socialist I have plenty of reasons to be bothered, these morons not only have poisoned political discourse and distracted from real issues like growing inequality and poverty, vast corruption and the hijacking of our democracies but they've also made a mockery of the left by pretending to represent us and using their journalist and tech industry buddies to solidify that narrative. Not a socialist, but I agree with you on all your points. The current "issues" that are being trumpeted by these extremists, who seem to be controlling the direction of the entire political left, have pretty much buried all the real issues like you mentioned, wealth inequality, and growing corporate influence and power over people's lives.
It's good to see some mainstream entertainment that doesn't feel like it's trying to subtly indoctrinate me into a cult. I hope this trend continues, I'm pretty tired of every movie, game, and television show all feeling like they were made by the same people with the same opinions.

IMO it’s more accurate to say conservatives were perpetuating slavery and liberals were abolitionists. At the time, Republicans were the liberal party. Lincoln was anything but a “state’s rights!!!” small government conservative (though the modern GOP wants to claim to be “the party of Lincoln”)

Saw his show in Manchester which was a build up to the special, it was a really good set but he needed to drop the whole American impersonating Dumb Yanks to an English (/British) crowd. It's always been a cheap and weak method to get laughs, and he's better than that.

Being pro / anti-SJW isn't the aim. I would agrue more than half of the people on GAF are more toward the side of SJW stances than not. It's extremitisim that's, personally, I am "anti". Probably. Most people would say that they're just more on the side of justice for all. Which is what everyone should be. I take the Big Boss approach of it. In MGSV, Big Boss was questioned about the Les Enfant Terribles, in which he didn't see his clones as his "sons", but he rather would treat them as equal human beings. I've always had that mindset with woman, trans, gays, queers, ect...they're human. They're trying to figure out or have figured out who they are.
