We live in strange times. A game that was released 22 years ago, that looked like shit is being remade and looks better than the CGI movie that was released also years ago. Its almost a gift to the Adults that still have "a children in his heart" but the conflict is..... "Argghh i dont like the dress of Tifa, Cloud looks like a punk, the Summons arent cool etc".

Don't have to tell me twice! While some people are nitpicking on minor details, I'm here ready with bags of cash ready! FF7 is my favorite game of all time, and the amount of love they put in this remake is phenomenal. People are worried this will be episodic and cost them $300+ for the full game? Well I'm ready to pay $1000+ if a game is designed for my inner fanboyism, and this remake thus far is pulling all the right strings!

It is looking very good. Here's something I really hope they'll do but don't know if they will. A lot of areas in that game begged to be explored, but you couldn't. I haven't played the game since the 90's, so maybe you guys can refresh my memory on the names of the areas, but...
I wanted to explore more of that. I know not all these areas will be in the first installment, but I hope we don't get corridor areas. Take advantage of these being in installments and make these areas large and bring them truly to life!
The area where you go with Sephiroth in the flashback. The mountain where you find the materia. I wanted that to be open to more exploration. The area where Aeris died I thought would be cool if you could explore more. The Temple of the Ancients I think it was called? Is another I wanted to explore.

And I also love Final Fantasy XV, to consider it one of the best Final Fantasy ever made.
So, as a fan of the saga,
I suggest you also play
Final Fantasy XV.

I will pick it up, I am slowly making my way through my back-catalog. So once I have Persona 5 done (also my first persona game) , I will get into FFXV!I advise you to play Final Fantasy XV.

I think there is a 'big in japan' sale this week on PSN, so hopefully it is on there.
The fact that these will all be playable on PS5 makes every purchase even more worth it and I want all the essentials of this generation.

This is square enix. They haven’t had a good final fantasy game since 10. (Not including the MMOs. But even 14 pre ARR was trash.).

The voice acting industry in Japan is super competitive. Yuki Kaji, the VA who voiced Eren from Attack on Titan, is one of the best VA's in the industry, but even he fails 90% of his auditions.
So I wouldn't worry so much about the Japanese voice acting.

Dude... It was fucking incredible back in the year 2001. The visuals, voice acting, presentation etc. all set new standards in the genre with the only downside being the lack of a more open world.
I think it still plays well and it will always have a spot in my heart. Of course, I was 16 at the time it came.

That’s revisionist history right there and I HATE that. You need to look things how they were at the time of release and FFX back then was freaking amazing.
So anyone knows will we get full game in March 2020 because I don’t see anywhere part 1 in these trailers? They are presenting it like a full game.

That voice acting is terrible. If you are going to push Jessie how about cast someone with a less annoying voice. They should have a mode where they display chunky dialog boxes like the original with no voice acting.

I never thought Square Enix would be able to pull this off after FFXV.

you confuse nitpicking of a couple of seconds of new footage with "hate" most people will find lots of stuff to love about the game and the people now bitching (out of nervousness more than anything) will be the first to buy the game lol
I borderline love everything about it, for the most part ff7 already got the remaster a hardcore minority of people expected and wanted via mods and ai upscaled backrounds.. so everyone gets his remake.
It literally couldnt work out more perfectly for SE and FF7, the timing of ai upscale mods for a remaster being ready at borderline the same time we get the big AAA remake as well lol its perfect.

Not gonna lie, when this was first shown it looked awful. The kind of cross gen type mess where lights penetrated things like walls, models and textures all had very different quality, it was all over the place. And the gameplay/story changes seemed like sacrilege.
Now?
The gameplay/story changes still worry me, but god damn if this isn’t a beast of a game in the visuals department. One of if not the best looking game of the generation.
Now then only issue i really have is that while I own a PS4, I also own an oneX, and I game 99.9% of the time on the X. I want this game on the god damn X... and I know that if I play the waiting game, it will come. It’s all but guerenteed that sony have a 6month/1 year deal in place.
So I’m honestly on the fence about buying a pro just for this one game... ugh... because I don’t even want to try this on a normal PS4. My pc is more than good enough to run this in 4k Max, but again, no talk of PC.
So while I want to wait, I know that I’ll end up buying it on PS4 anyway... I did the sale with Crash, then got it again on X.
I just wish they would come out and say for definite one way or another, as it’s bloody annoying...
