The original game, excluding the dlc, wasn't really that big, so...

I hope it also has +150% lowest FPS compared to part one.

TLoU had lows of 12 fps or so on PS3 no idea how this deserved any kind of GOTY when the most important part of a game - the gameplay - suffers for eyecandy. 12fps+150% =30FPS.

If they target how TLoU remaster ran on PS4 then I can't complain. That was much better. So ND please remember you are making a GAME first and foremost!

You've been saying nothing is coming and also been saying it's a completely new game, that right there is already a contradiction, perhaps to cover both bases later when ND announces LOU2 MP officially with details.....

They started working on Factions, but was evolving so much and their ambition for it got so big, they decided that they would not be able to finish it by the 21st and that shoehorning the LOU1 MP was not enough and did not meet their standards for MP in the latest version of the game.......So they said, we'll focus all our resources on SP for now and flesh out the MP to the standard we want it later on........

So, it's simple........MP was cut out of the February 21st LOU2 game, MP will not come in that package......LOU 2 for now is standalone, but they are working on that ambitious LOU2 MP for a later date, they have not and won't furnish details till everything comes together......They don't want to lead anybody to a wrong conclusion this early, so closer to the launch of this MP, they will give details on the game/mode and their ambitions for it.....
Please read again and focus on what ND said and not what think/wish.

Original game even without DLC was about 15 hours which is good for campaigns nowadays and it tended to have relatively open areas. Also people who aren't good at things like percentages or fractions are claiming the factions mode was 50% of the last game, uh... no. If you're just arguing "there's two game modes so it's 50% of the game" then okay... I guess but that feels pretty disingenuous and missing the point of what they meant by 50% bigger. Let's look at it this way, take all the factions maps and line them up and have the campaign be going through those maps, how long do you think that campaign would be?

I dunno. I actually like the debates. If every thread was just people praising a game, it would be pretty boring here.

I like the engagement, good or bad.
(I have nobody to talk to, and debating on forums is my only human interaction :()

Titanic was called the Ship of Dreams, and it was. It really was.
Content looks like it's top notch again, But, I personally don't like TLOU and I have severe doubts the sequel will change that for me. I'm still in this hobby for the gameplay.

TLOU 1 was one of longest biggest story based games out there. i was suprised how big it was for so linear game. i wasnt in hurry so spend over 20 hrs or so . it felt even longer maybe because was so interesting story wise.

I think people forget Neil kinda had to pick up the pieces for Uncharted 4 after Amy Hennig got the boot.

He himself said they've taken this long and made the game this big because of the story. So, while I too wasn't a huge of U4's big open spaces and overall length I have to give ND the benefit of the doubt that this time they'll do it right.

all of our levels are bigger and wider

I hope not. TLoU's level design was its chief strength. It was dense, appropriately claustrophobic, actively encouraged engagement due to close quarters, and managed to avoid bloat all at once. A bigger, wider TLoU isn't what I want.

There are a lot, and I mean a lot of big arenas in TLoU 1, big arenas didn't mean less cqc before so I don't see that being the case now.

Remember the big or wide linear path concept that they used in that game, they are probably doubling down on it like they did in U4

The fact TLOU2's MP won't come late already tells you how much he knows about the subject.
My issue is with the math, obviously he didn't get the point. Fact is, is that it's best for everybody to get as much value as possible for their $60, and, if this game didn't have MP then it'd be a pretty big step back from the previous one and that wouldn't have made any sense to me.

Devs promoting game size. What a concept.

Reminds when Legacy of Kain on PS1 was "100,000 screens and 100 hours of gaming"

Or maybe I'm the best gamer in the world who beat the game by probably going through 2,000 screens and 12 hours.

There is no way I came close to walking through 100,000 screens.... getting out an online calculator, even if a gamer walked through each screen in 1 second without doing anything else like fighting, exploring, cut scenes etc..... that would be 28 hours straight of walking from one screen to another.

Ya, m'ok.

(Fun fact: I just googled it..... and the old German box of the game said 160,000 screens, but UK/American versions are 100,000. lol)

Define value, because this discussion is quality vs quantity.

Could be better but the game generally ran between 25 and 30 fps. Far from the game breaking performance you are trying to paint.

As long as they wont go full open world with this, I'm happy. Games like DQXI and XC 1&2 showed me you can fun exploration in your games without being open world.

That's what she said because she loves you, the minute you separate, you will hear the truth........

The in thing nowadays is to lie about games and companies you don't like, but then if a game you like run in the teens, you say.... "it's pretty smooth, I had no problems playing at all..."

It gets so bad, it's just like the guy who said DC chugs so bad and it runs at 10-15 FPS, maybe even lower. Nobody cares about finding the truth or getting objective data anymore, they just say the worst trolling lies they can..... Bare in mind, anybody playing TLOU for the last couple of years, should be doing so at 1080p 60fps, 1800p 60fps or 4K 30fps.....locked.

Value is both quality and quantity-based. The amount of content in a game is quantity and is therefore objective, no? If the game didn't have MP then it wouldn't have had the same amount of content as the first one by default, no matter how much PR they'll throw at you saying that it's "bigger!!".

It's like the Star Wars Battlefront situation, even though the game's MP didn't have much content so it's not a completely fair comparison, but that game would have had so much more value if it had included the exact amount of features as the original games. I personally think that if TLOU2 didn't have any MP features at all, then it would have taken a huge step back in comparison to the first game and not everybody has to agree with me on that.

Okay, so if they go all out on the singleplayer and increase it 50%, that's more value + increased production values over any other 1st party exclusive.

You still get more of both, with a focus on quality.

Besides, I bet you were one of the people complaining when out of nowhere it was announced that TLOU1 would feature MP.
Or are we gonna act like it wasn't tacked on and just happened to be popular?

So you should read again because you just don't underdestood what is written.

I'm fine because I proper read it already and it is clear what the tweet says.
Yeah, no read it again. They nowhere stated that there will be no multiplayer of TLoU2. They staded that they will be working on it. It will come, no doubt in my mind.

Read again... c'mon... they are direct saying TLOU2 won't have MP anymore.

"However, you sill eventually experience the fruits of our team's online ambition, BUT NOT AS PART OF THE LAST OF US PART II."

Stop the bullshitting.
You have the FACT in your front already.

Same things every developer says about sequel most of the time. But I'm not saying like it's something bad. That is definitely great! Though it has to be detailed on the same (or higher) level.
