Good call, I've got 23 in right now, did you want an invite? We can start off as one and if we hit too many (PC) users we can split off, but maybe at some point I can access all my stuff without having to buy it twice.
As long as the existing clan gives a few trustworthy & active Steam users whatever permissions we'd need (if any?) to group up/manage stuff easily then I'm personally happy. I have no idea what is locked off to Admin only in this Bungie system, really.
Dropped you a PM with the banner stuff and I'll ask the Steam group what they want to do.

Sounds good, I stole the White Flag GAF look. I'd be glad to add a couple more admins (as we are pretty casual as is) if they want to group up for the time being.

*EDIT - Steam/PC and PS4 Clan pages added to OP

I never finished the first Destiny. I had the trial for Destiny 2 downloaded since it came out. Finally played the intro today. That was a pretty damn good first impression.

I missed out on most of Yr2 the Forsaken grind was just too much for my liking managed to hit 600 on 2 characters and 598 on the other ran last wish etc

So I decided to grab Shadowkeep using some credit on my account and played through the campaign. I’ve hit the grind to 900 currently at 860 and I’ve lost any motivation to carry on. I don’t know why but when I fire up Destiny it just feels like same shit different day to me and I’m not enjoying myself.

The endgame quests are just so boring go here shoot this enemy 1000x, use arc weapons, get auto rifle kills etc etc nothing really new to me.

I was a HC D1 player and enjoyed parts of D2 yr1 and loved the Last Wish raid but Shadowkeep is Just missing something it’s like the progression system is so dry and beige. The PL is still the same it makes no fucking difference what your PL is you are still not a god.

Is there good loot to be have doing the legacy campaigns? I read somewhere that I should finish when I'm at 900 cause the last reward will be above that.

Not alot to be gained from the legacy campaigns. Your end of Shadowkeep reward from Ikora will be a 4-5 power increase for a slot, but I'm not sure if the Zavala one from Red War is scaled up or not anymore.

*Edit - If anybody here shoots an invite for the clan, lmk here or PM just so I know who I'm approving :)

Finished the Shadowkeep campaign... I'm disappointed by how small and short it was. I expected another Forsaken, but I guess I was wrong.

that's the downside of the season pass model, DLC stories never develop until months later...some never to finish it seems. They get so worked up sometimes on the modes like Gambit, Menagerie, and this seasons Vex whatever it's called that unfortunately things like story and more guns tend to fall by the wayside

So does that mean that we're not really getting any other story for this DLC? I know they're releasing some content over some period of time, but to me it's unclear how much of it will just be activities and how much of it will be story.

I played both the original and 2 up to Warmind (I think). been playing on Steam a bit yesterday after setting up the cross save. I kinda like it and probably will get Shadowkeep also. but is there any point on getting Forsaken? I assume Shadowkeep doesn't cover the Forsaken stuff?

Joined the PC clan. Got Shadowkeep. You guys need to stop bitching about the lack of story and short campaign or you're going to make me regret spending money on it before I even play it :messenger_loudly_crying:

There's quite a few good guns in Forsaken, but I'm not sure if they're just tied to that DLC or if it's available for everyone now. Stuff like Ace of Spades quest would be good for PC since hand cannons dominate

Forsaken is ok, not necessary. I'd advice if you play the game and get into it buy it.

Story is fine IMO, I think you'll see the story continue in all the updates kind of like the Dreaming City with the Queen's Court.

Something something Riskrunner; Sunshot and Graviton Lance rewarded duringThe Red War.
Update: The Red War no longer awards exotics around Io; or otherwise. Perhaps the one from Osiris and Warmind also no longer do. :messenger_sad_relieved:

Less reason to replay the Legacy campaigns unless you are joining a friend who never has.

thanks. I'll probably get both sooner or later. will get Shadowkeep for now and hopefully it'll let me get some of the Forsaken stuff too.

Started the red war legacy campaign. I'm enjoying it, I can see for people trying to go fast into power level season ranks it's not the most effective. But every mission is leveling up the clan :p

So, Forsaken is the Queen's storyline?
If so, I'll have to buy it.

Yeah the story of Forsaken focuses mainly on Uldren Sov mainly, and evolves into deeper story with a Curse on one of the destinations and Mara being in charge of this zone, as well as keeping a secret that turned out to be the Last Wish Raid Boss. The story progresses through weekly milestones in the Blind Well (Zone in DC) leading to a couple cliffhangers that still have not been closed off.

I’m on PS when it comes to Destiny 2 but just activated cross-save so I play on Xbox too. Now I don’t own Forsaken nor Shadowkeep on Xbox, do I have to buy them both there or just Shadowkeep?

Unfortunately, you need to buy it for all platforms that you’ll be playing on. New light didn’t fix having to double and triple dip. Maybe in the future they’ll have a multi-platform version that costs a bit more, but it can be installed on all platforms instead of buying each individual version.

This, sadly. I think the season pass content still follows your characters but they really need to clarify that. Probably no need to double dip on Forsaken given how much of it is available in the base game. Still not ideal.

Ended up getting Shadowkeep only on Xbox

Would be awesome to combine the PC and PS4 clans - or is there a Discord I can join for the PC group since I'm already in the PS4 clan? I play both systems now.

You could join the Steam group and therefore the group chat to get something going for PC.

grinded the whole night and get to 910 now. mostly did Strike and Nightfall with some Crucible. got thrown into a few Strikes I don't remember ever doing too, so that's cool. gona work on getting some exotic quests done.

can I get an invite to the Steam group/clan/whatever please? I realize that I was in a clan in PS4 but there's like nobody in it now. current Steam ID is Carnival Of Stupid

edit: got it, thanks

Binged on destiny this week(end). How do i get itens with more than 900 light power?

From what I understood you need to do activies that give out powerful gear rewards. Like weekly challenges, I think you can see the destination with them with the yellow icon.

Hmm. Got into the pryamid and feel close to the conclusion. Feels pretty lackluster. I'm enjoying it and I think the crucible is improved, but I'm not really enjoying it compared to forsaken.

To be fair, we have a whole year of small story additions to forsaken that helped the story not end on the cliffhanger.

Folks, I haven't played since the forges. Is this worth getting? I don't have a guild as well.

If I buy the expansion does it include everything for the year?

On ps4 btw

I expect this thread to contain less amounts of weaponized autism from those who actually play the game.

Yea, I want to the raid it tonight too. The loot all looks great.

Didn’t expect the Vex offensice area to be as large as it is for temporary season content. I expected forge size initially. No idea how the rollout is going to be for further content aside that we’re getting more.

Tons of enemies. 6-player match made activity. Actually causes slowdown on the pro. Generous with loot drops too.

I was happy and overwhelmed with the content and stuff to do day one. Now I’m reminded it just started.

The absolute worst thing about destiny 2 is this right here. Also can't even join a guild unless you do this same thing here. For as many strides forward bungie takes, this is a huge hole. The main reason I have never done a raid or joined a guild. Not complaining to you fyi. Just venting about how this is one of the biggest flaws.

Not sure what has changed(maybe all the newbs or people that have come back but the new people don't have exotics like these guys) but last night I played 3 rounds of crucible. Got 3 eliminiations and 6k damage in 2 of the games with my Go Figure. I could not have improved just by playing apex

You can join clans in-game.

I don’t think random matchmaking for raids would work AT ALL. Too mechanic heavy and requires voice chat And specific load outs that should be discussed with your team beforehand.

They’ve addressed some of these concerns... and not by offering matchmaking, but designing similar activities like the menagerie, dungeons and mini-raids quests like zero hour, and whisper. And ironically, those activities have loot that you kinda need in your pocket to raid successfully no less.

All of those offer an experience similar to raid. With jumping puzzles, huge and unique set pieces, boss encounters. Most are three-man activities.

The menagerie is 6-player that attempts to be a casual bite-sized raid-like mode. It introduced mechanic similar to those you may find in a raid but they had to design it by having a “no fail state” just to make it enjoyable with a group of micless randoms.

Nor do I want to see raids ever simplified. There’s a barrier of entry.

I could see them moving the app features in-game but I’m not convinced it would ever be more effective than the mobile app Itself. I do think it’s rather impressive tho and a necessary tool for players who want to be more engaged. You can manage your vault and equip items. Create and search for teams and invite them directly to your game from the app. Far less cumbersome than lfg website alternatives.

And if you’ve just started. You got a long way to go before you even have a usable raid loadout.

There’s not too say things can’t change more... I mean, nightfall kinda has matchmaking now for lesser difficulties. But to make those harder it’s just a power level increase and modifiers. It’s nkt the same as a mechanic driven activity. You can’t just scale a raid back to make it casual friendly with ruining it entirely.

Seems like the feedback is kinda split on this one, buy or not? Ps4

I'm a casual player, but enjoy the game

If you haven't played since the forges I'd pick the game back up first and see if you like the menagerie and how the armour/upgrading/season pass works now, then decide if you want to buy the moon stuff.

That's where I will start, good idea.

I'm updating it now. That damn copying takes forever!
