Bluepoint Games teases it's next title as a "re-envisioning" of an older game

Not sure bluepoint is capable of adding content to Demon souls. They do some great work, but changing bosses movesets and creating new content would probably be a bit much.

Maybe they were allowed access to the broken archstone assets.

Land of the Giants? Right up their alley after working on Shadow of the Colossus.

Thing is, ones a good game and the other is Devil May Cry 3 ;)

Yeah...You're gonna need to try and justify how one of the most mechanically sound games ever released which also revolutionized the action genre is less worthy of a remake than a niche cult classic with average critical reception. Especially when there is infinitely more significant remake in the same genre coming out in March.

I enjoyed SotC Remake they worked on but I did not liked what they did with Wander’s face. If there is going be new additional content and improvements, I want original developers work on it.

I think that's why they're calling it a reenvisioning. The enemies/bosses in DeS are a bit simplistic now and the game could benefit from certain features found in Ds2/3.
They could add the broken archstone and some other cut content like the unused enemies (Mimic, Hyena soldiers, Wolf soldiers and so on).

Of all the work they did, that's what decided for you?

Kinda petty reason to kill an incredible game

Some studios start AAA right out the gate. I seriously doubt they ramped up to 100+ people 2 years ago to improve lighting and textures on old games forever.

goto 27 minute mark.... my guess Demon Soul's remake with some new content... although I can't rule out Bloodborne 2.

The way they are wording it, its starting to make me think maybe its not Demon Souls..

What if its a remake of The Getaway ? What if its The Getaway 3? (unlikely as I don't think Sony would be open to such a team doing a AAA game of that nature) What if its Killzone 2 remake running on Decima?

At this point they can go fuck themselves with their secrecy.

It's not like it will be anything people want, anyway.

Honestly speaking, Demon's Souls is far from a game who could deserve so much hype and secrecy
If will be revealed as their real project, I'll be legit disappointed, classic remaster or remake no one ever asked for

Man, those early PS3 days were some dark times. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Spent 2007 playing Resistance and Ninja Gaiden Sigma. Meanwhile my classmates with their 360s were playing Gears, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Ghost Recon, Halo 3, Lost Odyssey, Forza, Saints Row. I mean 360 even had an UNO game. I would've liked at least the stupid ass UNO game.

Well hold on now. Heavenly Sword was dope. Then later on they had Infamous and Naruto: UNS and Metal Gear Solid 4.

I didn't see it as all that bad. It wasn't 360...but it wasn't terrible.

Sony needs to just buy Bluepoint at this stage. I took a look at their website...I mean it's like a foregone conclusion.

I agree, It seems like a extremelly talented team, they are very technical focused so they would benefit a lot Guerrilla, Naughty Dog and Insomniac and themselves with the feedback and on top of that they seem to be really smart in their teasing techniques, they have created an amazing amount of hype for their next game without even talk about it.

I don't know, I never played any Soulborne game, and in general I don't know much about them besides being dark fantasy hack and slash action games, but I am sure they are great, and fun, which is why they have so much fans.

Still, I heard, or rather read them being mentioned so many times in gaming related articles, and on forums, that I'm just sick of it.

There is also the fact that I just don't think anything Soulborne is so outdated that it needs remaster / remake - saw some Demon's Souls screenshots, and, IMO, they look decent.

Demon's Souls is still today the best Soul game made by From with innovative features not found in the late copies.

It is one of the most asked game from PS fanbase... so something is wrong with your claim.

My wishlist is
Socom 2
Syphon Filter
Twisted Metal
Bloody Roar

Doubt it is any of these but I also don't see Sony giving Bluepoint Demon Souls unless From is involved somehow. I feel like it is a PS2 game, my guess would be ICO.

Oh one between those two would be dope!

I love ICO but it isn't bigger in scope than SOTC...

It's not hard to conceive Bluepoint doing a re-imagining/remake+extras of Demon's Souls with Miyazaki's help. Sony is very close with From Software and Bluepoint has worked on Japanese games before.
