Man walked over 300 miles to have sex with 14-year-old girl, prosecutors say

I agree with you fully, cause it’s obvious and apparent his intent.

Entrapment laws are finnicky, i don’t think totally useless, but they should be more specific.
Maybe my head is just clouded up with examples I've read like...... cops hiding, and leaving a car door open hoping to catch car thieves.

It goes both ways I guess. Cops dicking around. And also crooks being asses. So a case can be made for either side as to which side are being bigger pricks.

I actually always wondered about this. There was no minor involved so how can they charge him? Intent? Gaf lawyers what do you think?

I also considered if his lawyer would use entrapment but the guy wasn’t forced or manipulated into doing this, he could of easily not engaged and not travel. But then again we don’t know the exact tactics used by the agents who did this operation and as someone in the thread already mentioned, I wonder if he’s mentally sound. I find it hard to believe if he walked 300 miles, he’s mentally healthy.
He is a repeat offender though. So I don't think a mental case plea applies. Then again, walking 300 miles and looking like a total retard, maybe he's gone insane lately.

In 2011, Winnebago County prosecutors charged Jenkins with two counts of repeated first-degree sexual assault of the same child, but those charges were later reduced to four counts of child abuse. He was sentenced in 2012 to four years of probation.

According to court documents, between July 1 and Sept. 30, 2011, a 7-year-old boy told a Neenah police investigator in 2011 that Jenkins would grab or rub his genitals and tell him they both would get into trouble if he told anyone.

An 8-year-old boy also told police Jenkins would squeeze his genitals and buttocks and tell him police would arrest the boy if he ever told anyone, according to court documents.

When an investigator interviewed him, Jenkins said nothing had happened and that both both boys were "making the whole thing up," according to court documents.

Jenkins later pleaded no contest to four reduced charges of child abuse by recklessly causing harm and was sentenced to four years of probation, according to court records. A 360-day jail sentence was stayed.

I'm not defending the guy in anyway, I'm just curious:

Isn't it illegal for the police/government to make you incriminate yourself like they did with this fucker?

I'm not a lawyer, but skimming articles about entrapment, for the cops to have a case, it has to be something the accused has to go out of there way to be a crook. And it has to be something they know is a crime.

If cops put a wad of cash randomly on the sidewalk and someone takes it, the cops can't jump out of the bush and say that's theft. The person has no idea where or why this money came from. It's likely going to be a case of finders keepers.

But if I'd assume (maybe I'm wrong) if cops purposely left a Brink's truck with the back door open with money for the taking, and a guy ran over and grabbed a bag, that would be a crime.

Some guy he blew in the bus stop bathroom.
In downtown Toronto, there's this bus station at Bay/Dundas (I'm assuming it's still there). It's a weird area because it's near snazzy office buildings, borders the eastern part of old Chinatown, and there's some cruddy old buildings in the area, but also the huge shopping mall is right there. You never know what kind of people will be in that area.

All I know is when I used to park near that bus terminal to see my friends downtown years ago, I swear the people you see coming off those coach buses.... the first thing you'd think is how the fuck did some of these people even afford a coach ticket.

Now I know!

I'll never understand people who are balding that don't shave their heads. Also, he did the walking? That's not chad behavior. Should've made her do the walking.

Lawyer could go for entrapment, can he?
Yep, that was what I was getting at. What StreetsofBeige wrote in regards to the background makes the case a safer thing though. He may have been targeted but it was certainly reasonable, especially considering the previous sentence.

What the shit. We put potheads in jail for far less than this.

LOL! He must have been so pissed when he realised he'd been tricked. The look on his face must have been priceless. Serves the fucker right.

I think some people do this in the UK too from what I remember.

It was documented on TV once about trapping potential paedophiles.

There is one journalist who is 21 but looks 14 and did this to catch as many as possible. You would be surprised how many she caught on Facebook alone and some are family men!!!

Ya know, I fall into the 'No mercy for Pedos' camp. Like rape it's a crime that's worse then murder since the victim is victimized their whole life.

Buuuuut...
By the looks of this guy I'm guessing he has a mental problem. Most likely some functioning disability which most likely creates issues with choices as well being mentally stunted (most like the mind of a child himself.)

I would put money on the fact he was an easy one to lure.

If this is the case he needs to be institutionalized, clearly he cant be around children.

If this isnt the case....throw him to the hounds of the prisons. Let them decide his fate.

Hasn't he heard to old parable about the internet; where men are men, women are men, and children are the FBI? But seriously fuck this guy.

No way.

Isn't the world a totally equal place where stereotypes don't exist?

I would have never guessed a pedo would like a shabby asshole.

I was thinking (rolling a set of random dice), the pedo would be a clean cut guy who looks like a banker and drives a Jaguar.

/S
I mean he looks like the kinda guy who has to walk 300 miles for the chance to have sex (underage or otherwise).
Your second example definitely exists, they just own their own private pedo islands, and have fancy lawyers to shield them.
And if the fancy lawyers fail - they mysteriously kill themselves in jail before having to testify about any of the other banker looking muthafuckers that they knew.

99% of people who openly advertise themselves as "underaged girls" or "drug dealers" or "hitmen" openly looking to talk to someone interested in them for sex/drugs/a hit are for sure some kind of agent. They're busting them for intent, usually.

I mean shit, you get agents counter-stinging each other at the same time.

Damn...now you reminded me of that Embarrassing Bodies episode where they had to do an Operation on a guy who couldn't pull his foreskin back as he didn't wash the smegma on it for 5 years.🤮
Is this story the source behind your username change?

The defense could say something like "The guy actually has a fetish where he is attracted to older men who act like young girls online!"

Gotta say I agree, and cases like him are why we need insane asylums again. He clearly can't be firing on all cylinders. Get them out of society and in a nice padded cell where they can get the proper care they need.
