If we're talking about EDs, a lot of shounen shows have great ones, including FMA and Inuyasha. Here are a couple from Inuyasha since I feel they're not as well known.

Chihayafuru season 3 is here, boys.
I've been hyping this up as the greatest thing since sliced bread, but the first episode wasn't a homerun. Oh, it was good alright, but I expect every episode of this show to be spectacular. Some of the music queues and the comedic timing were off, and the jump to a Fujisaki training camp without explanation was a little jarring (I don't remember this being a thing but I could be wrong).
I continue to have high hopes though. This is Chihayafuru after all.

The best anime this season is probably going to be Hoshiai no Sora, as long as they keep it up. It's really good so far.

You're nuts. I don't even know everything else that's airing and I can tell you that Chihayafuru 3 will be the best. How can it not be?

Yeah, no, anyone who just decides they "know" what someone else will like and just suddenly pours a condiment on their food without permission is in the wrong. In middle school, when we got pizza and breadsticks for lunch, someone just "knew" I would like ranch dressing on my breadsticks and poured some on mine even after I said I didn't really like ranch anyway. They insisted I would like it but soon after realizing I was not going to eat them period now at least had the decency to go buy me some new ones.

Synopsis

On the precipice of a cataclysmic drought, the Star Readers of the Shin Yogo Empire must devise a plan to avoid widespread famine. It is written in ancient myths that the first emperor, along with eight warriors, slew a water demon to avoid a great drought and save the land that was to become Shin Yogo. If a water demon was to appear once more, its death could bring salvation. However, the water demon manifests itself within the body of the emperor's son, Prince Chagum—by the emperor's order, Chagum is to be sacrificed to save the empire.

Meanwhile, a mysterious spear-wielding mercenary named Balsa arrives in Shin Yogo on business. After saving Chagum from a thinly veiled assassination attempt, she is tasked by Chagum's mother to protect him from the emperor and his hunters. Bound by a sacred vow she once made, Balsa accepts.

Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit (or Seirei no Moribito ) is a Japanese fantasy novels from the Moribito Series which spans twelves volumes and written by Nahoko Uehashi. Only the 1st two volumes have actually translated in English and released to the West before stopped because of lack of demands for the translation of the book. Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit has been adapted into numerous media from manga, radio drama, anime adaption, and TV drama (which actually continue into the second volumes of the series). I will be discussing the anime adaption as I just finish watching the show. If you like the show and want to see more, I would look into the Manga or TV adaption as it continue the story to Volume 2.

I have a to say, this is one of the better fantasy drama anime I have watch for a while. The story line is simple and it have the rescue the princess scenario but in reversal. This isn't a terrible as the story flows at a nice and steady pace throughout the series with some minor slow down which is mostly use to to go into character development of the major characters. One of the major strength is the strong character development between the main characters. One of the star of the show is Balsa, the spear wielding warrior woman. She is one of the strongest and very unique female leads in anime I have watch for a while. She has a strong sense of right and wrong while have process many skills in fighting ability which you notice during battle scene in the show. For Chagum, he is basically what a prince would be minus the arrogance. Weak, don't understand certain things that a normal people do as he never go through hardship. This two characters at opposite end have a good development between them and you start to see their relationship get stronger when both are develops more as each episodes pass by. This is also help with other supporting characters in the show which have a certain amount of development because of their association with Balsa and Chagum, The various reference and flashbacks begin to make sense as series progresses and it will help the audience to understand more of Balsa's character even more and how it change her as a person.

For the animation, it's very beautiful to see. Majority of the background animation is beautiful (a bit of Ghibli look) and take some design influences from Asian countries. For the character animation is fluid and smooth. The character design is mostly trying for the realistic look for the most part.

For the music, you got Kenji Kawai who is well known and made amazing music and you notice this in the show. The music actually help push the tone quite well for the scene and use it wisely to express the scene mood and you notice this during battle and important dialogue scene.

Overall, a very well done anime which not many people talk about (kinda a hidden gems). Would recommend the show if you want something in fantasy and want a strong female characters with good character development between the two main characters and a story which get very interesting as you continue watching.

Sup, surprise you're kicking in here. I post on and off from show I am currently watching right now. I am still going through the Patlabor TV series right now and might look for another anime show in my collection.

Did you not see the end of the episode? Also he still has the hottest girl of the three, and likely the school, terribly in love with him.
lol not yet Tortilla kun. Also the fact that they made Pansy hot and everybody calls her ugly is a total fail.

Hey at least it didn't turn into one of those ones where the nerdy girl ends up being beautiful and the MC instantly falls for her.

I'll try to hit this place up more often & hang out. A LOT more, lol.

@SLoWMoTIoN
Yeah, lots of standard tropes incoming, but who cares when we finally get an MC that's not a complete red-faced, shy, loser 24/7.

I'm surprised Ahiru no Sora went with the main characters beating the other team pretty good at the beginning of the game. All setup for their wings to be clipped of course, until the older brother shows up and hopefully blonde Yankee eventually learning how to dunk.

The Key trilogy (Air, Kanon, and Clannad) handled their MCs a bit better than the usual fare. Sure, IIRC they could be a bit oblivious to some of the girls' interest in them, but they balanced it out by being frequently snarky in an entertaining way. Admittedly it did make them feel similar to one another but they usually had a unique backstory and such to differentiate themselves.

I liked the lead dude in Haganai too. I could see viewers getting frustrated in him with how he seems to ignore the girls' romantic interest in him, but they actually address it in the Season 2 finale in a pretty dramatic way that I think most viewers could understand where he's coming from. Really sad they stopped there, it was a fun show and to add insult to injury they ended on a cliffhanger.

At least the Isekai this season, Animal Mask Wrestler and Cautious Hero, are much better and funnier than the stuff from last season.

Yes, I haven't watched the former, but I saw the first episode of Cautious Hero earlier this week and it was legit funny. It helps they're really good at nailing the over-the-top reactions the goddess makes. It's tough to get me interested in modern isekai due to so many feeling similar and not offering a unique element (Re:Zero, No Game No Life, and Konosuba are basically the only ones from this decade I've really enjoyed) but I'll continue this one.

Also watched After School Dice Club's first episode. Nothing fancy, just a nice little slice-of-life involving board games (actual real ones too).

Haven't watched anime for long time. Recently binged Attack on titan season 1-3 and its pretty good. Also watched One punch man season 1. It was okay.

Currently, getting through Jojo diamond is unbreakable.

Dragon Ball Super Moro manga arc really stimulates anime cravings, Moro is on another level, we're talking about a villain who eats planets like snacks. This will be a blockbuster when it gets fully animated to the masses.

I know .....I know the manga is always better but there’s only so many hours in a day and so much shit I want to watch and do.
I wish I could sit for days and just watch and read.

Kengan Ashura deserved better than CGI and heavy censorship. It was actually painful to watch.

So yeah I've re-watched Fate/Stay Night Unlimited Beito Works both seasons and damn. I liked this show way back when I've first watched it (2-3 years ago I think), but I love it now. Even fucking Emiya Shirou doesn't annoy me as much as he used to (kinda ironic because Archer is my fav character). I feel like everything "clicked" for me now to fully enjoy it, presentation and fight scenes are unmatched too, imo. And Archer getting that last kill was hype af. Where should I go next with Fate series? there are so many Fate shows it's kinda underwhelming. I've thought about watching Heaven's Feel movies right now..

Ah, and last thing:

Since the original adaption sucks, playing the fate route is probably the best way to take in the first route. Then the UBW show and then the Heaven Feel movies (of which there will be 3 total). I watched the original anime when it came out. It isn't the best lol.

Also you can watch Fate/Zero which is a prequel to Fate. There's a couple of spinoffs you can view whenever you want.
