It's weird cause they have a decent amount of talent, but it's the same 12 guys rotated on Dynamite each week. I've seen results for the Dark show (Sorry I'm not wasting time watching YT shows to keep up with TV), but why they aren't using more of the roster each week baffles me. Last week is the first week I just flat skipped AEW. Don't give any craps about IC vs. Dustin and BUcks, same with the rest of the card. It was a weak week. Why aren't Jack Evans and Angelico on TV more? Why does Kong not wrestle?
Yet we get boring Cowboy Page every week like clockwork. Hagar needs a match or two before he becomes a joke who's just there for show, let him squash one of the little dudes or a Private Party kid or something.
Issue I think we are about to see is reports that Khan isn't happy with the cash that he threw at everybody early on (Not sure what type of ratings he was expecting from wrestling in 2019?) and the offers are gonna be rough for other fed guys to go there instead of stay in WWE, or try ROH/Impact for the cash along with Indies. They desperately need more talent, and really need a midcard title belt too.
Unless they have huge indy offers, sign Brodie and build up your midcard. Luchasauras needs somebody to wrestle that he isn't two feet taller then.
They are quickly in a weird spot cause of the massive deals to the EPs and first signings without any type of talent building program for up and comers. They need to work a deal with a major wrestling training school or something before there just isn't talent to sign and we get the same matches for the 8909th time

I will say, the videos for the Dark Order should have happened before their debut...and whoever let Evil Uno wrestle without a shirt should be fired. He looks 1000 times better covered up, same with Jericho. Problem is they went from meaningless jobber team to getting these hype videos within two weeks of eachother. They should have just disappeared for a couple months and then fire up these cult videos leading to another member and some momentum. All this for Stu and Uno isn't going to help them

They’re a talented team who were working in quite a few places (Chikara, PWG, ROH) around 2008-2012 but suddenly vanished. I believe it was due to some visa issues. Maybe they were working some Canadian indys. I know The Young Bucks loved working with them so that will be why they were brought in. I’ve also heard Uno is especially liked backstage.
Totally agree that the video packages should have been run before their debut. There being such a long period between their debut and the video packages left a lot of time for people to not give a shit about them. Also the creepers need to go, or at least not be so cheesy and low budget.
AEW needs to do more video packages in general. They’ve really done a pretty bad job about explaining why you should give a shit about anyone outside of a few people like Jericho and Cody. They expect you to already know everyone. And that’s fine for people who do but they need to be able to grow their audience beyond that.

You mean you don't want to see Page vs Pac for the third time in a month? I wish Dustin was on tv. I'd watch dark but when he's on it it's usually some tag team or comedy shit. AEW really does just feel like an indie show with a big budget. Just a mishmash of whatever.

I think them only having a handful of PPVs a year has meant they struggle to structure their shows. WWE having monthly PPVs means there’s always something they are building to. AEW just feels like they are just doing stuff for the sake of it until they can properly start building for their next PPV a few months from now. As an example, Hikaru Shida beat Britt Baker and the commentators talked about how this was a big win and established her as the #1 contender. Then the following week she lost a tag match where her partner, Kris Statlander, got pinned by Emi Sakura. So she loses a match right after becoming #1 contender but I guess at least she wasn’t the one pinned? But then the following week Statlander pins Shida so I guess she’s now #1 contender? But why then did she take the pin the previous week? Maybe there’s more to come that will make all that make sense but it just seems like there’s no momentum to anyone and so how are the crowd meant to get behind anyone.

WWE has bought up all the talent in recent years and won't let anyone go. It's no surprise that AEWs roster is thin. They should really partner up with ROH/Impact. Neither one of those companies is going to make any headway for the number two spot anytime soon but they have pretty good rosters that could help them fill out their shows. Just imagine the Briscoes in there with the lucha bros or Brian Cage mixing it up and making almost everyone else look tiny lol

My guess for TLC match with Bray;
Bray comes down in Fun house type attire, the match is back and forth. Miz gets the upper hand, almost beats Bray. We see the real difference between Fiend taking punishment and Bray being weak without the mask.
The lights go out, Fun House starts on the tron, its Daniel Bryan clean shaven and in a sweater. He has a puppet dragon and berates Miz for what hes done to him over the years.
Meanwhile Brays slipped on his mask from under the ring, stripped off the jumper & jeans and become the fiend, hits claw and win.
From there Bryan wears his more dragon related clothing, maybe has a prop or two.
Brays their top merch seller, DB Yes movement was a huge merch seller, combine them both but without making Bryan to hokey and its guaranteed money.

-- Even with an appearance by CM Punk, Tuesday's episode of WWE Backstage on FS1 fell in viewership.
The show averaged 127,000 viewers, drawing a .06 rating in the 18-49 demo, down from last week's .08. That marked a drop of 11,000 from last week's 138,000 viewers which was the second highest in the history of the show thus far.
The episode featured an interview with Baron Corbin where he discussed last Friday's dog food segment on SmackDown. Punk also gave his thoughts on Seth Rollins' heel turn.
This was Punk's second appearance on the show. His first on November 19th remains Backstage's most-viewed airing at 180,000 viewers and a .10 in the key 18-49 demo.
Here's a look at Backstage viewership since debuting in its normal time slot:
November 5 -- 49,000 viewers
November 12 -- 100,000 viewers
November 19 -- 180,000 viewers
November 26 -- 121,000 viewers
December 3 --138,000 viewers

Los Misioneros de la Muerte, Ultimo Guerrero, Villano III, Dr. Wagner Jr, Gedo, Jim Crockett Sr., Bearcat Wright and Paul Pons all got voted into the Observer Hall of Fame this year. That's the most that have been inducted in a long time.
Don Owens, Stanley Weston, Jun Akiyama and Sputnik Monroe all came within a few votes of being included too.
The Hall of Fame issue is always a good one for learning history so I'm looking forward to checking it out if I get a chance.

Only watched about half this event, seemed like steaming shit, but I guess I expected that coming in.
What really gets me is that I have family in MN and can get there in a few hours and thought about going to TLC...until I realized there were no finalized scheduled matches prior to basically SD. Why should I pony up a few hundred bucks for tickets to a PPV that the WWE doesn't even care about. Seriously, just don't do a December PPV if you don't give a fuck and are building towards the RR. I hate this stupid not announcing matches til the day before or day of stuff, that is some serious bullshit for the paying audience there.
Kind of zoned out during main event but Kairi was clearly concussed early in the match. Charlotte definitely seemed very unprofessional knowing there was an issue in this match.

Raw numbers last night were not good, as even coming the day after a pay-per-view and without a big football game, the show set the all-time non-holiday low with 2.05 million viewers.
The previous low was for the November 11 episode that did 2.06 million viewers, but that went against the San Francisco 49ers-Seattle Seahawks game that did 15.98 million viewers. Last night's New Orleans Saints vs. Indianapolis Colts game did 11.06 million viewers.
The only episodes in the modern era to do fewer viewers were shows that aired on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve this past year.
The show started low, meaning not much curiosity or interest coming off TLC, and as is the case with most wrestling television shows, lost viewers throughout.
What was rare is that in 18-49, besides NFL related shows that always beat Raw, it also lost to three episodes of Love & Hop Hop as well as Below Deck on Bravo in the 18-49 demo.
Overall, Raw was 12th for the night, but only lost in overall viewers to news and football related programming.
