Stadia finally gets achievements system promised at the reveal over 1 month after launch. (Oh, they were there the whole time just hidden because....)

On the off chance that there is one thing that gamers love to do, it’s to pile on achievements. Sadly, when Stadia propelled it could not see achievements, among a clothing rundown of different highlights. Be that as it may, even though you couldn’t see the achievements, Google said they were being included out of sight from the start.

Beginning on December 19, Google, at last, pushed out an update to see your achievements. Consistent with its promise, achievements have been quietly piling on out of sight this time, and now there is at long last an approach to see them. You can look at all the achievements you’ve earned the previous hardly any weeks by review it with either the Chrome program or your Chromecast Ultra.

To see them utilizing Chrome, click on the companions’ list symbol and afterward your symbol. When you’ve entered that menu, you’ll see another catch under “Settings” for Achievements, alongside a rundown of the ones you’ve earned most as of late.

In the wake of tapping on Achievements, it will give you a rundown of the games you’ve played that help achievement, alongside the complete number of trophies and what number of you’ve earned up until now. You can make a plunge further by tapping on the game itself to see the names of the trophies and a rundown of what you have left to open.

After shipping a controller that had one button not work until an update weeks after launch people were wondering where the achievements were, another feature said to be ready for launch some months ago.

Now it seems that Stadia finally has achievements. Kind of.

Oh wait, my bad the achievements were there at launch, you just couldn't see them BECAUSE THEY WERE HIDDEN THE WHOLE TIME for no real reason. You needed an update to finally see them.

Google said they were intentionally hidden from the start.
Can we get a reason why? No? Okay......

That's the Stadia quality assurance, you never know what will happen because everything is random and done spontaneously for no reason.

This is some kind of joke right? This was an early April fools joke and this was a fake product the whole time surely? Right?

stadia just came out.
took sony fucking years to get those xbox achievements.

what again are we shitting on ?

Oh, Sony announced there would be trophies at the PS3 reveal and they would be available at launch?

No they didn't.

Remember when Sony revealed the PS3 controller and one of the buttons didn't work until an update after launch?

Never happened.

There is a profile or this is just achievement per game with no global score ?

Not a clue, you'd have to buy a Stadia to find that out.

Hey guys rumble is so last gen.
We made these non rumble dualsticks 3. Because we can't make gyro work with it.

Poof.

Wait it is the future please come back?

At this point you are just looking for some reason to be outraged.

Let them alone for a year (also make sure nobody you know buys it, as it's not a finished product)... Then maybe they will bring in the features, or they will just kill this product in a dark alley.

Now they (Sony) tout some new HD rumble or something as a next gen feature!

The Ps3 never promissed trophies on release, it was something that it was a success on the 360 and Sony decided to implement on the console.

The Ps3 was released in november 2006. The trophies were announced in june of 2008 and was released on the update 2.4 in july of the same year.

WTF does this thread have to do with Sony?

I tip my hat to Google for introducing achievements into Stadia, some gamers are all about achievements.

Actually, after some years of having achievements in most game platforms I can see that some people have a real problem with them. It is like an addiction or OCD. I don't give a damn about it, but as someone who has OCD to some extent, I just feel bad for how many gamers get exploited by the achievement system.

It is a nice feature nonetheless, but I see people living and breathing for it. It can gets scary sometimes if try to confront those people haha.
