The multiplayer in the original FEAR was perfection.. nothing was more satisfying than drop kicking my friends in the face over and over while they bitched and moan from across the room during LAN parties.

First time I meet the girl, I get tense.

Second time, same.

Third time, I realize she isn't attacking, she's just teasing you.

Fourth time, the same.

Fifth time, the same.

After a while I realize the girl never, ever, EVER threatens your character. It's literally a haunted theme park without any sort of menace whatsoever, until the final battle.

And that killed the tension faster than a knife cutting butter.

FEAR is probably one of THE worst horror experiences I've ever had the displeasure of playing on my X360.

AI was good in the enemy soldiers, but eh … that wasn't the reason I played that game.

Criminal Origins Condemned was a LOT better. Both 1 and 2.

THE Complete bundle with all DLC and the 3 games is on 5 dollars in STEAM.

I Play yesterday F.E.A.R. and its still a amazing game, i enjoy it a lot , more than the current games of this generation.

I love the Sound of the Bullet time effect.

The graphics have their time, but i still enjoy them... and actually i put in Max Settings to everything.

FEAR 2 Project Origin still looking so great in PC in my opinion.

The original more than held its own and surpassed some of the other big hitters of the time, Far Cry, HL2, etc. 2 was an excellent balls to the wall action shooter, creepy too but not on the same level as part 1.

I really must give 3 a go, I know the critics hated it but you never know.

I played it at launch, hated it and gave up on it like 1 hour in. Gave it a second chance years later and thought it was kinda decent actually. Just don't go in expecting the same quality as the two previous games. Set your bar low. :p

I watched that video, such a shame. Fear was so awesome. The first one and perseus mandate. The second one was a bit different and I didn't enjoy it as the first one. The third one is just garbage. And it was not even made by Monolith, as far as I remember.

Chances of us getting a new FEAR game by Monolith are slim to none. But, not all hope is lost. There is some good news for fans of the fear series. There's a game made in the Unreal 4 engine by the name of Trepang2, and it's inspiration was Fear. I've played the demo and damn it really captures the first fear feel.
I believe the game is scheduled to launch in this year and I did play the demo, and I guarantee it will satisfy that FEAR craving.

Demo is available on steam.

Just going to link this, in case anyone gave up on it because of the slowdown problem or is thinking of buying the game.

I finished the first one, and loved it, but haven't played the expansions yet. I hear the sequels are a step down.
