Klee asked for a ban because of how hostile that thread was, they were making fun of him because he touted out what seemed to be "Unrealistic specs" because he said that the PS5 is gonna be more powerful than Xbox Series X, he said XSX is a bit over 12 TF RDNA, and PS5 is more powerful, like 5% or 7%.

That's all.

And he was the 1st one who HEAVILY HINTED at Xbox Series X being revealed at the VGAs.

It's hilarious these blind fanboys don't know a thing about SSDs. I have a 3,000 gb/s SSD and it does jackshit for gaming right now. Can't wait for Sony's implementation which actually works.

You are absolutely right. Just like my car and wifi6 analogy, you still have to improve the engine, and you still have to improve the wifi speed, you cant just only improve on the inefficiencies. I am hoping that PS5 will be in the double digit TFLOP range, but lowballing it to 9 something TFLOP thinking that it may not be needed to produce next gen 4k 30-60 fps graphics. There are also lots of other factors that determine hi fidelity graphics that need to be accounted for, and it will be up to Sony to deliver an effective message on what PS5 is capable of.

Well, you can say that It's a hint, that hint wouldn't make Klee comment about it, and Klee was verified twice by ResetEra moderator and they have stated that he is a "credible" source.

Klee wouldn't lie about this stuff for clicks and fake news, the guy has been in the gaming industry for more than 20+ years, he was the 1st one who said that both consoles' GPUs would be more powerful than AMD's RX 5700 XT (9.75 TF), and look now, Xbox Series X has 12 TF RDNA, it is more than 20% more powerful.

Yup, pretty much. I like the guy... But it is obvious that his subconscious preferences impact the wording of his assessments.

If Xbox doesn't have the higher power and exclusives to take full advantage, I can see how he might dread the start of this new generation.

I still think he's a good guy, we are all susceptible to preference etc.

Despite mentioning a new console gen, it sounds more like he laments the state of gaming in general. Seems he feels like there will not be any new major games which create a new experience.
He should keep the topics of new gen consoles separate from this type of commentary IMO.

Still I honestly expect Sony to make something traditional looking like older consoles, just a lot thicker. I don’t expect a tower, but I do expect some more volume compared to the Pro.

Every Gen we get a Debbie downer and every Gen we get few games tht innovate. Now whether they are his cup of tea, thts another story. Psvr and their games in general created a whole new experience this gen. You also have games like Dreams stepping up in terms of creativity, concrete genie another, etc last Gen it was little big planet, tear away, Journey, etc. I mean there's more but I hvnt played them all.

Alright so E3 is dead and irrelevant... remind me again how many huge exciting events Sony has put on in the last couple years? Do State of Plays count? A couple Wired magazine articles? Are you seriously telling me you would rather have a 20 minute state of play vs 2-3 hours of exciting stage reveals during E3 2020? Everyone keeps talking about a hush hush PS5 reveal event in February that might not even happen. At this point it's fan fiction. What if Sony decides to skip E3 this year but has NO plans for an event prior to TGS which they may also not even show up to? Do you really want to wait that long? What if Sony figures "Oh hell, we won this generation. They're going to buy our console either way lets not bother to show anything off and then surprise drop a new system on them at the end of the year so they blindly run to the stores foaming at the mouth desperate for anything we put on the shelf!" You people should WANT Sony to show up to E3. You should WANT them to come out on stage and wow the world. What if they had a reveal event in February with only one or two games shown but then came to E3 and showed like 10 new PS5 games? You seriously wouldn't want that? You'd rather an isolated event in February and then a 30 minute robotic state of play to show off a few games? I don't get you people... you should be hopeful for Sony to show up as much as possible this year both at their own events and anything larger like E3.

I wouldn't think any dev or insider even has that info. Sony won't be disclosing the PS5 form factor until the official reveal, hopefully, in mid-February. I mean they tweeted the days before CES about The Future Awaits at #SONYCES2020, and even got the developer from Santa Monica Studio (God of War fame) to show up only for Sony to unveil the PS5 logo, the one that my 3-year old nephew drew earlier last year. He's from the future!

This is sad; end of an era. E3 didn't have to go down this way. For a long time it was like the mecca of videogaming meet-ups for seeing the newest games and hardware. At the very least it helped with getting people and teams out of their own bubbles every once in a while.

I think it still has its place but clearly they gotta think about how this should function better. That said, I still think Sony skipping E3 is a mistake, at least THIS E3. They wanna skip E3 2021 and after? Fine, sure. But if you're gonna be done with E3 at least say goodbye with a bang, plus E3's still the biggest gaming convention to the mainstream, the exposure is only a good thing.
