Could quite easily be a second party developer like Insomniac.
wanted to say the same. it is the same as xbox bought most of their studios which made games for them anyways and got praise, in that time, i was - wtf? the same with Insomniac.

so, it is not a bluepoints games. interesting.

E3 still resonates with me, but I'm old school. Early 40s. Historically its always been a huge event throughout my whole gaming existence. Sony and Microsoft are in different places right now. I'm primarily an Xbox guy these days so MS's commitment to e3 feels like a commitment to its fans and to gaming. They are rebuilding their brand and e3 still matters to lot of people.

If I'm primarily a Sony guy, yeah it sucks they are not attending. But if they feel they have nothing to gain besides fan service, and they dont feel that alone justifies the trip, well that's a fair strategy. Drop some trailers and do a Nintendo direct style video and call it a week.

I do think MS being there can only bring momentum to Xbox tho, and I believe its the right choice. I'm glad they are doing it.

Phil himself said 40x not 117x which this would indicate.it will be around 2.5 gb/s
I am aware ... sometimes you have to lie for the better to out class the competition...

anything can happen can be 40,117 or in between. Would melt the internet if it 117x.

also it’s older tech , perfect for consoles ...

Bungie (not likely) or remedy which Imo isn't that big of a deal.
I doubt that it's Bungie since they made a deal with NetEase for their next game.
As for Remedy, it seems likely considering that their games haven't been selling as much as it should. I really hope to see Alan Wake 2 running on a next gen machine(s).

There is one issue . We keep hearing devs praise ps5 ssd and literally non of them talk about xsx ssd.
I don't want to put my tinfoil hat on, because it also doesn't matter that much. But when Sony and Microsoft deliver their devkits to developers, do they leave stuff out on purpose? They must know that people talk, and the chances are probably higher at multi-platform studios, so maybe they don't put everything in their devkit?

Well anything is possibility but what is more important? to surprise sony or to have games make use of your ultra fast ssd when ur device comes out to show fans why it is worth the money ? The choice is theirs to make i guess.cause if you keep that away from devs they wont utilise it.

Surprise Sony, since those devs are also working for PC, so they already have constraints of shitty PC's without a fast SSD. I can't imagine multi-platform game studios developing games for at launch that will utilise the SSD in such a way that the game is just not able to be downgraded to a lower version that only uses a HDD. Only first party studio's do these kind of things at launch, and I'm even doubting if this will be delivered at launch.

Putting my tin foil hat on I wouldn't be surprised if this story was actually put out by MS as a part of their jabs at Sony. Sony will be talking about their SSD speeds at their Feb event, so MS leak it before Sonys event to show that their SSD is as quick or quicker (depending what SSD Sony actually end up using)

So they will put somethung expensive in there that no one is gonna use ?whats the benefit in that when even in their pr they say 40x and not 117x .

So to sum it up we believed they put an ultra fast expensive ssd in there that they wont mention in their pr and they wont give it to devs to use it. May i ask what for ?

I wouldn't put it past Microsoft. After all they were the same company that had 2 hidden GPUs in the Xbox One that devs still haven't been able to find. One was hidden in a 3D stacked layer and another in the Power Brick. We'll just have to wait until they surprise Sony with it any day now.

Lmao

Full blowout in PSM [2]. Price and release date for E3. Plans can change tho but I don't think sony is that idiot to ignore The biggest gaming festival of the year in the year of releasing brand new generation.
Tommy, you must be a good guy. And perhaps you even understand something about some things, but this message once again shows that you do not know anything
Of course, you "protected" yourself by writing that plans may change, but let's be realistic. Such things are not solved even within a month
And Yes, we both know exactly where you got this "Big Studio purchase" from. The guy from Twitter who swears he knows more than he says)

Bad news (?) first - Good news very soon (BIG acquisition)
Can you provide something a little more concrete that. I want to give you the benefit of the doubt, but this is vague. Maybe a hint on the studio? An ETA on the announcement? A prediction on whether it's a small studio or some sort of Megatron?

One is Zen 2 @3.2ghz and other is 3.4ghz
One has 12.5TF +dedicated RT cores
Other has 11.8TF for now
16GB GDDR6 for both but one has 4GB Gddr4 and other has 6gb Gddr4.

You mean DDR4, right? Not GDDR4....

Can you fake insiders at least do some research first??

"Plans can change"

Another fake insider exposed...

Like I said in the beginning, I don't know if Sony or Microsoft do these kind of things... You are correct that it doesn't make any sense for their PR to say 40x if it's 117x. Although that might be because at first it was 40x, and now they've changed hardware? I don't think the console is in production yet, so there might still be some changes.

It could just be that MS upgraded the SSD.

Yeah the SSD is what worries me most about the SX. If they can’t match the PS5 one, or at least get pretty damn close, I feel it’s game over.

The trouble for me is that the next generation won’t be on the ray tracing battle ground, or the flops background, but which has the best SSD.

Still, MS provided kits late, and there’s a long time to change something like this still. Stranger things have happened. Let’s just hope MS get the right idea.

Oh man, I really need some official info, I feel like I am going crazy. Every day as soon as I wake up I check here and on Twitter if the damned invites for the PS5 reveal have arrived yet :pie_grinning_sweat:.

Bluepoint did Titanfall for the 360, so they could be considered multiplatform.
