Square Enix has delayed the release of Final Fantasy VII Remake from its previously planned March 3 worldwide release date to April 10, the company announced. It will be available for PlayStation 4.

We know that so many of you are looking forward to the release of Final Fantasy VII Remake and have been waiting patiently to experience what we have been working on. In order to ensure we deliver a game that is in-line with our vision, and the quality that our fans who have been waiting for deserve, we have decided to move the release date to April 10, 2020.

We are making this tough decision in order to give ourselves a few extra weeks to apply final polish to the game and to deliver you with the best possible experience. I, on behalf of the whole team, want to apologize to everyone, as I know this means waiting for the game just a little bit longer.

With MLB The Show 20, Persona 5 Royal, and Cyberpunk all within a few weeks of eachother, FF7R is going on the backburner for me. I'll wait until it's like $30 in the summer.

This is going to be worse than 2017... 3 years ago everything was kinda spread out (HzD, Nier, Persona 5, RE7, Nioh etc) between Jan and May, now everything seems to come out in March and April (Nioh 2, Persona 5R, Doom Eternal, RE3, FF7R, Cyberpunk)... I guess FF7R has to wait a bit until I'm done with Cyberpunk2077

Midgar was more like the first 15% of disc 1 lol people remember it being larger than it was because of all the story scenes and location variety.

But the scale is changed drastically in the remake. Cant make a value judgement one way or the other till we find out the real content quantity.

No, I'm paying 60 bucks for a reimagining with so much more content the original had, to the point it'll have a lot more adventures and interactions with the characters I fell in love with in my late teens.
