Well he spent hours downloading games that arent operating. Plus others have validated his complaints. And apparently he got the game to run on Steam with no problem. Id be shitting on the service as well. Are some of you guys that hellbent on defending everything? Did he hurt feelings by talking negatively about Gamepass on Windows?

The Windows store itself is pure garbage but the Xbox app is great I have no complaints

My point still stands. Never said his points arent valid. But clearly he's not too bent outta shape about it so why bother making an entire thread to shit on it?
I had Forza horizon 3 do the start an install and not track progress thing. Lost 40 gigs of progress. So I got it fixed and moved on. I didn't want about it online.

I'm only sharing my experience. I'm totally frustrated with the service and I wanted to know people's opinions about game pass. I only gave up searching for a solution because I tried everything already, and the last option is getting a fresh install of Windows (which is not worth doing for me). This is a space where everyone can talk about their experiences, give their opinions and also have fun discussing. That's what an online forum is for, and that's also what I'm doing.

Yes, it did (it wasn't downloading before formating). I noticed some games work, but most don't. I think I'll use GP only for some small indie titles. I don't want to risk downloading a big game just to find out it doesn't work.
The only games I tried that worked are Undertale, Lonely Mountains: Downhill and Demon's Tilt. I also tried these: Forza, Hellblade, Bridge Constructor Portal, Metal Slug X, Riptide GP: Renegade and Human Fall Flat. None of them opened.

What point do you have? Hes clearly bent out of shape from it. Thats the whole basis of the thread. Were on a game forum. People rant. Just because you take subpar service from your favorite corporate daddy dosent mean everyone else has to go in the corner and be quiet about it.

I reread the thread and I didn't see anyone suggest checking your windows version number. Windows updates are weird (kinda like the store not working right

In my experience the Microsoft's servers just don't work very well here in Brasil. Every Xbone Gamer that I know have complained about download speeds and awkward behavior...

It's not an issue of the service if you use an ISP which has a "cost-efficient" (poor) DNS server structure that is not located near your location. This can lead to requests to the wrong CDN servers resulting in poor download speeds depending on the server location of the CDN. So this can happen with the CDN used by Microsoft but not with the CDN used by Steam.
You're just another guy mocking around on forums without any resolutions. And thats your problem.
